In the space between Daos, where the Sword Great Dao was, Chu Kuangren and Mingyue Wuxia's consciousness was walking on the Great Dao.

A while later, they arrived before a vortex.

Suddenly, a temple further away exploded and was engulfed in blazing flames. Chu Kuangren had a curious peek at the scene.

A middle-aged man with a big saber dragged a net of more than a thousand Buddhist cultivators' heads behind him. He was slaughtering anyone he saw in the temple. For each Buddhist cultivator he killed, he would behead them and tie the head to the net he dragged behind him.

"Butcher Li, stop it!" Guanyin bellowed.

She flung the suet jade vase out, releasing a sea of water at Butcher Li.

Butcher Li grinned. "How dare a mere Grand Dao cultivator dare stand against me? Die!"

He slashed with his saber and cut the incoming wave in half.

Right before the slash could hit Guanyin, Chu Kuangren shot a sword qi forward and blasted Butcher Li into a burst of blood mist.

Guanyin was stunned. Immortal Sparks then shone behind her, followed by the appearance of a familiar figure.

"B-Brother Chu?"

"Guanyin, it's been a while." Chu Kuangren nodded at her.
