Unseal at Hogwarts
Chapter 9 Another Master of Clow Cards
"You know," Professor McGonagall explained, "the other professors have a lot of things to do."
Ollivander didn't bother much about this, at least he looked at Tom: "Are you right-handed or left-handed?"
"Right hand," said Tom.
Ollivander turned around and got into the piles of wand boxes, muttering something in his mouth.
On the old wooden table, a tape measure jumped to Tom's right side, and he dutifully measured Tom's physical data.
Tom, who had already experienced the magical measuring tape in Mrs. Malkin's shop, stretched out his arm and let it measure without changing his expression.
Professor McGonagall stood aside with her arms folded, and Marcus and Cynthia appropriately showed the awe and longing for the wand as a "Muggle" couple.
But Rubelos was squeezed into the corner near the door and continued to act as a pet.
Ollivander quickly pulled out a box of wands from a pile of wand boxes: "Try this, twelve inches, poplar wood, dragon heartstring, a very powerful wand."
Tom's two fingers touched the wand when Ollivander snatched it away.
"No, no," he said, taking out a wand from another shelf, "Eleven inches, willow, unicorn hair."
Tom took it.
This time, the wand stayed in Tom's hand a little longer.
But it only took a few seconds for the wand to be taken away by Ollivander again.
"Ten inches, mahogany, unicorn hair."
Tom waved his wand and brought out a crackling spark.
"Ten and three-quarter inches, elm, unicorn hair—apparently a wand with a unicorn hair core is perfect for you."
Tom waved, and the small wand shop burst into dazzling white light.
"Very close, very close," said Ollivander.
His hunched body, as thin as a dead branch, pointed at the wand box on the shelf.
"Eleven and a quarter inches, English oak, unicorn hair."
This time, the wand sprayed out colorful lights.
But Rubelos sneezed loudly.
There was almost no change in Professor McGonagall's expression.
Marcus and Cynthia, who were enthusiastic at the beginning, became a little impatient.
"I know," Ollivander clapped his hands and replaced the wand in Tom's hand with a wand, "it must be this one. Eleven and one-half inches, silver-haired basswood, unicorn hair
.”
As soon as Tom took it, he felt a gentle force pass along the wand to his fingertips.
This power rippled from his fingertips and filled his entire body in an instant.
This was a completely different feeling from holding Clow's wand.
He waved his wand, and a large translucent tree appeared in the sky. Several birds flew out from the top of the wand and hovered at the top of the tree.
A soft wind blew in the wand shop, and faint singing could be heard.
"This is truly a unique sight." Ollivander sighed, "I'm glad this wand has its own owner."
Tom excitedly played with the newly acquired wand, feeling like he couldn't put it down.
But Ruberos followed Tom grumbling, obviously a little dissatisfied with Tom.
Professor McGonagall handed Tom the ticket and told him to get to King's Cross Station on August 31st to take the train to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
After that, Professor McGonagall said goodbye to Tom's family and left in a good mood.
"Obviously Clow's wand is more beautiful, why do you like this wooden wand more?" But Rubelos felt slightly sad as he watched Tom play with the newly acquired wand repeatedly.
"Don't you think it's amazing?" Tom still couldn't bear to put down the wand in his hand. "Ollivander said that every wand is unique. It sounds like it is tailor-made for one person."
"Crow's wand is also unique!" Kerberos whispered.
"Indeed." Tom nodded in agreement, "So I have two unique wands."
“Honestly,” Tom continued, “what if I could take the magic I learned and use it in my life? Like adding magic to my gizmos—a fusion of science and magic—that would be cool.
.”
"Maybe we can try it." Kerubelos also became interested, "If it were a Clow card, it would be very simple. For example, the 'Light' card can light up according to your thoughts..."
Tom's eyes lit up: "When I was a kid, I always wanted to invent an electric light that would light up as long as I clap my hands. This sounds really magical. Can I try it?"
"Ahem..." Kerubelos had to remind, "We must first find the 'Light' card and seal it."
"Oh! What a pity." Tom was a little disappointed, but he quickly regained his energy, "Maybe I can find similar magic in my textbooks."
As he said that, he took out the textbooks one by one and started looking for them with Kerubelos.
"Tom! Kerubelos! It's dinner time!" Cynthia reminded at the door.
The family had dinner happily.
"It's strange," Cynthia said during dessert, "that the basement door suddenly won't open."
"That's true." Marcus also said, "I wanted to get some tools there before dinner, but I couldn't open the door, not even with the key."
"Oops!" Kerubelos suddenly shouted, "Too many things happened today, I even forgot about the Clow card in the basement!"
"What kind of Clow card could that be?" Cynthia asked with interest.
"The 'Ingot' card is a Clow card that can lock a room." Kerubelos answered.
"What's the difference between this and the door lock we use?" Marcus asked, "Does it have to be opened with magic?"
"Yes." Kerubelos said proudly, "And only the owner of the Clow card can open it."
"Am I the only one who owns the Clow Cards," Tom interrupted?
"For now, that's it," Kerubelos said.
"In other words, there may be another owner of the Clow Card?"
Obviously, Marcus heard the implication of Kerubelos' words.
"Tom is the heir personally chosen by Clow Reed. Logically speaking, he is the only one who is the owner of the Clow card." Kerubelos answered.
"but?"
"However, the moon as the judge is nowhere to be seen - he also has the right to choose his next master." Kerubelos said.
"Judge? Yue," Tom was a little confused, "Who is he?"
"When Crow Reed created the Crow Card, he also created us - the Sealed Beast Krobelos, which is me," Krobelos explained, "and the Judge Yue."
"I am responsible for sealing the Clow Card before finding Clow's successor, and Yue is responsible for judging whether the current owner of the Clow Card is a suitable owner."
"But he's only in charge of judging, isn't he?" Tom asked.
"Theoretically, that's the case," Kerubelos said bitterly, "but he also has the right to choose a new owner."
"Although there is only one key, if Yue is willing, there can be another candidate owner of the Clow Card even without the key."
"So our Tom is just a candidate at the moment, right?" Cynthia pointed out.
Queruberos nodded.
