Three days already passed as Jun Tianyun lived peacefully with Saki and Sayu. The Ousei Academy's incident was also suppressed.

He was slowly doing some calligraphy before a figure materialized before him.

" You killed one of them, didn't you?"

Jun Tianyun raised his head and saw an adorable black cat. Without any hesitation, he grabbed it, petting its belly.

" Oh, If it's not Tuba San." Jun Tianyun chuckled.

" Damn it! Nyot there! Nyaaa~"

The cat quivered as it rolled on its back, purring gently. " Damn it! I almost fell for it!"

The cat sprang back as it glared at Jun Tianyun. " So, Tell me. Did you kill him or not?"

" Yes, I killed the demon called Blood Demon." Jun Tianyun nodded. " Unfortunately, I won't be able to give you the Divine Spark of him."

" Is that so?" Tuba san frowned. " I urgently need a Divine Spark."

" How about we kill another one of them?" Jun Tianyun proposed.

" Well, It's possible. However…" Tuba San trailed off. " The other demons already got the news of Blood Demon's fall. Do you think they will appear before us?"

" Why not? If they don't come to us, we will go to them." Jun Tianyun snorted.

" Since you are confident…I have a plan. However, I want the Divine Spark this time." Tuba San spoke.

" Very well, What's your plan?"

" Demon of Hunger. He is still sealed in the mountain a hundred kilometers away from here. If we attack him while he is in a sealed state, we can easily kill him."

" Why we?" Jun Tianyun asked curiously. " I thought you were an Ascendant Divinity?"

" I am, But my skills are currently suppressed here." Tuba san shook her head.

" So, What do you say? Shall we go?"

" Why not?" Jun Tianyun's lips curled as he stood up. " There are many things I wish to try too."

The Yaomi Mountain was famous for its shrines. And today was a small festival. The festival was aimed to appease the Shrine Spirit which suppresses the demons in the mountain and ensures prosperity of Yaomi Mountain villagers.

" Is everyone ready?"

" The procession is ready."

Jun Tianyun stood among the tourists as he looked around. " Excuse me, What are these barricades for?"

" Hoho, Young Man, It looks like you are a tourist." The old man smiled.

" When the evening falls, a group of shamans and maidens walk up to the mountain carrying the offerings. However, during that period, all mountain roads are sealed."

" So only the procession bearing the offerings would stay there?" Jun Tianyun asked curiously.

" The mountain said to be filled with evil spirits during this evening." The old man's voice became solemn. " Only the head shaman would be able to ward them off."

Looing at the procession, Jun Tianyun's eyes narrowed. With his Eyes of Fortune, he could see a bloody calamity looming on them.

" Damn, What a coincidence. I think they are offerings themselves for the Hungry Demon." Jun Tianyun chuckled.

" I believe so. There are one or two rats hiding among them." Tuba San nodded. " I already sent an eye to keep an eye on them."

Jun Tianyun's expression turned odd when he saw a cat secretly following the group. ' Damn, I knew it. The cats are spies all along."

The procession was quite big and consisted of more than twenty people or more. An old man with a white robe holding a paper lantern stood in the vanguard. Jun Tianyun could feel a faint spiritual energy inside his body.

' He must be the head shaman. Hmm, Let's see how good he fights.'

As the sun fell, the procession slowly walked towards the mountain peak. The old shaman used the lamp to guide the troop while the ones behind him kept softly banging the bell and drum.

Jun Tianyun held the black cat Tuba San as he stealthily followed the troop. The procession troop didn't use anything other than two paper lamps, so their surroundings were pretty dark.

It was unknown when, but the forests appeared to be covered by a thin mist, with some illusory figures moving around. Some of the procession members got scared, but the old shaman shook his head.

" Don't worry, They are just harmless specters." The old shaman's voice echoed. " However, I need to warn you. Do not wander off from the straight path."

" There are more powerful, evil entities hiding in the dark. So just quietly follow me."

As they saw a small, old shrine from far away, everyone in the procession became elated. After all, they just need to place the offerings, pray, and go back.

However, after walking for tens of minutes, they noticed something was amiss.

" Huh? I thought the shrine was nearby."

" Eh? Where did Taki Kun go?"

" They were right beside me!"

Looking around, they tried to find their missing colleagues. But the old shaman shouted.

" Don't disperse! It's the trick of a demon!"

" But…"

" Huh! There! They are there!"

A few saw a faint flickering light as they walked towards it. The old shaman's expression changed. But it was already too late.

The trees around them twisted eerily as the roots erupted like tentacles, dragging away those people.

" Begone! Evil!"

The old shaman tried to chant some incantation. But his expression changed as he rolled on the ground, barely dodging a knife stab.

" Tsk, Old bastard, You have quite some resilience, eh?" The man holding the knife chuckled.

" Who are you?! You aren't a villager!" The old shaman shouted.

" Me? I came here to prepare an offering for my great lord." The man held his knife and prayed.

" What? Great Lord?" The old shaman became confused for a moment before understanding everything.

" You are from a heretic cult! You came to break the seal on Hungry Demon!"

" Haha! I am sure your meager spiritual blood would sate a bit of hunger of my lord." The man grinned as he walked towards the old shaman.

At that moment, chaos already spread as people ran around frantically, trying to get away from the tree roots. However, three imposters among the crowd did their best to hinder them, making them caught by the roots.

" Haha! Take all of them into the shrine! Tonight, We shall unlock the seal on our master!"

" Uh, Nope. I don't think so."

Suddenly, a voice echoed as the blood which fallen on the ground rose.

" Eh?"

The man holding the knife was stunned as the blood turned into a small needle and pierced his eyes. After that, it entered his brain and exploded.

Alright,I shall Kowtow before all fellow Daoists who were waiting for the update. The reason of the hiatus was obvious in my other two novels. But also, I was pretty unsure about how to make progress in this story.

There were different options, Like giving a devastating blow to Jun Tianyun and killing a few closed ones...Or the usual comedic trample on heaven and earth trope.

This novel is no mean a masterpiece, it is barely even good. All I want the Daoist to read it and enjoy, or at least remember its name. And, Let's hope I don't ruin the story. If you are reading this, please drop a comment and let me know.
