Warhammer 40k: Shattered Steel Soul
Chapter 350 Why are they all here?
In his mind, Perturabo once again confirmed that the ships deployed in deep space were decorated with lightning-patterned dark blue paint. The two floating on the outer border of the star zone, requesting contact, were from the 9th and 14th Legions, and the Primarch riding the shuttle in his Queen of Glory-class battle barge was also named Conrad Curze, not Rogal Dorn.
Not to mention that his only application for joint operations should have been sent to the desk of the strategic command room of the Phalanx, and Conrad Curze, who had a mysterious whereabouts and a unique source of intelligence, appeared here. He could not even say that he knew the two newly established legions.
If Morse had not sent letters here from time to time in recent years, he would probably have to spend time verifying whether the Empire really had an extra "Death Guard" and a group of "Blood Angels" after these two unheard-of legion names entered the Iron Warriors data link system.
His finger tapped the table, and the vision connected to the multiple electronic instruments in the Iron Blood followed Conrad's movements. Finally, when the shuttle arrived at the target, the dark figure of the Lord of the Eighth Legion walked the last short distance on foot. When he arrived outside the strategic room, he ordered the iron door to slide silently to one side.
"We have spent many darkest midnights without meeting each other, Lord of Iron, reunion in the abyss..."
"I thank you for your support, Conrad." Perturabo said calmly and firmly, "The war is tense now, we don't need to exchange pleasantries. What can I offer you, and how do you want to participate in this battle?"
Coz walked around the long table and stood at the end slightly away from Perturabo. He regretted that there was only one chair suitable for the Primarch's body size.
"Maps, battle reports, race data, any existing files." Curze said, "It would be best if we could get some more prisoners for our dissection. My Haemonculus Conclave is on the list of those who will accompany us."
Perturabo nodded: "Documents can be provided, but no prisoners are alive. After the attempt to attack proved to be unbearable, the Iron Warriors' strategy towards the Hruds turned to reconnaissance and blockade. Give me the address serial number of your Cogitator."
"I see, I see..." Curze said, shaking his head slightly, not knowing what he was thinking. "The Hruds are sentient spirits, right? We will have our own way of fighting..."
"Please be sure to write a combat plan document, Conrad, or at least have your captain write it. I don't want to cause friendly conflicts, such as my troops opening defensive fire after seeing a sudden black shadow."
"Of course, I'll think about it - I'll get back to you within nine hours, Perturabo," Curze laughed to himself, bowed dramatically to him, and slid out of the command room backwards.
Perturabo re-arranged the steel pipes on his head with a headache, and Curze suddenly returned and knocked politely at the door.
It must be pointed out that the excellent soundproof design of the command room made it impossible for the retro action of knocking on the door with hands to disturb the air in the room, unless the people in the room happened to have the ability to see through the wall, such as Perturabo, who was always hanging on the hidden monitoring equipment outside the door with a strand of thousands of parallel thoughts.
"What's the matter?" Perturabo opened the door halfway and looked sideways.
It would be best if Curze decided to make it clear which webway he ran to the Satrada Abyss along and where he got his news from - although Perturabo dared to bet a quadrant of the Phalanx that it was definitely Morse who did it.
"I met the Primarch of the Blood Angels in Baal, and the Blood Angels just met the Death Guard in Galasper not long ago. They fought." Curze smiled mysteriously and his figure officially disappeared in the corridor outside the door.
Without asking, Perturabo could guess that the misleading battles in Curze's mouth probably refer to joint battles, not confrontational battles.
After sending Conrad Curze away, Perturabo returned to the remote command of the battle line. The current attack force of the Iron Warriors includes ninety-three tactical squads in eight battalions, fighting on six planets at the same time.
He does not need to command each squad in real time, otherwise he does not need to set up the military structure of the Iron Warriors, but he should know what they are doing, what risks they will face, and give his own suggestions in a few cases.
Although the Iron Won has set sail, when he officially commands the intense battle, he is currently more willing to run to the Iron Blood. One is habit, and the other is that it is more convenient to prepare for possible boarding battles or landing battles.
The unique form of the Iron Won is destined to make its function more like a mobile space fortress and bastion, rather than a war flagship that splits the universe like a sharp knife at the head of the fleet.
After a while, two new communication requests appeared almost simultaneously on the data board in Perturabo's hand. He clicked on them and projected the images onto the imager in the middle of the long table.
When he heard two unfamiliar greetings from the Primarchs, Perturabo suddenly realized that he was now wearing a simple toga robe that had no formal meaning. Because he was in a continuous war, his state was messy.
Compared with the two relatives in the projected image who seemed to have cleaned up for the first meeting - especially the one with shining golden hair, I am afraid that he did not pay enough attention to it.
Perturabo blinked tiredly and glanced at the two Primarchs: "Hello, Mortarion, Sanguinius, it is a pleasure to meet you. I am Perturabo, the Lord of the Iron Warriors."
Sanguinius and Mortarion briefly introduced themselves. Even though they were thousands of miles apart, Perturabo was still keenly aware of the two brothers' intentions to explore him.
He had to wonder what Morse did in front of the two of them.
"I know the predecessors of your respective legions and have cooperated to a certain extent." Perturabo said, "Despite their shortcomings, they are still respectable legionnaires. I believe this will be a success. Joint operations."
Mortarion nodded silently, and Sanguinius smiled brightly: "Thank you, Perturabo. I have also heard of you, a unique Lord of Iron."
Perturabo suppressed for the moment the question from whom Sanguinius had heard of him. He believes that his image in the eyes of different people is absolutely completely different.
"The information resource integration will be sent to your flagship later, but I heard that you just completed a war before coming to this area. Do you need any rest or replenishment?"
"No need," Mortarion replied. "Glaspar is enough to enable us to complete the supply work, and Horus has also given help."
"Okay, after you enter the Satrada area, I hope to have a face-to-face meeting with you. The location will be here, how about it?" Perturabo asked.
"Of course," Sanguinius nodded softly, his expression becoming powerful, "I look forward to meeting you, and the Blood Angels will be honored to fight alongside the Iron Warriors."
Mortarion simply said "Understood" and then suppressed a "See you later" to terminate the transmission of the image signal.
Sanguinius nodded goodbye.
Perturabo was about to leave the chair he had been sitting in for a week and wash his face when a new data signal was sent to his nervous brain.
This forced him to return to the command position and continue to issue new orders.
The unexpected loss of contact with Barabas Dantioch, a battalion commander on the battlefield, is by no means something that can be easily accepted.
