Chapter 68: The Burial Dagger and the Crown of Night

There were no defensive troops in the dark city in the distance. Taiyue and Nymeria successfully passed through the city wall and entered the city. There was an unusual silence here.

The infrared device on Nymeria's helmet was interfered by the psychic power in the city. She took off the helmet and could see things closer clearly. As a Space Marine, Taiyue could not see things far away even if he had visual control organs under the influence of psychic power.

The two walked along the edge of the building towards the center of the city. Nymeria found that there seemed to be a human figure on the wall. She approached the wall of the building and reached out to touch it.

"Ah!"

Nymeria suddenly screamed out of control. She immediately covered her mouth and calmed down.

Taiyue couldn't help but wonder why the assassin who harvested lives was actually scared. He turned to Nymeria and looked forward.

The building in front of him was full of corpses. The expressions of these corpses were distorted, as if they had poured building colloid into their bodies when they were alive to form human-shaped wall bricks, and then used these wall bricks to build this building.

Taiyue also felt a chill, and he immediately checked other buildings around him. Sure enough, the buildings in the city were all made of corpses!

"The fear and despair of these people before their death triggered the fluctuation of subspace energy, which was then guided by the psychic magic of the Chaos Wizard to form the darkness covering the planet!"

Taiyue speculated that there were an estimated million people punished in the entire city, which also meant that the Chaos Wizard who cast the spell was very powerful.

The two continued to move forward, and crazy Chaos believers appeared one after another along the way. They were still building more people on the wall, and some of them were not even dead yet.

Nymeria took out the psychic dagger, and her figure disappeared directly on the spot. She shot through the chest and killed these Chaos believers silently.

"Does this weapon have a name?"

Taiyue asked curiously, and he didn't expect Nymeria's answer.

"The Burial Dagger, the Chulisas assassin Mushen, known as the 'Godslayer', chopped off the head of the rebellious Primarch. She herself did not escape the pursuit of the Night Lords, and her weapon was shattered when she died. A powerful psychic made the weapon fragments into a dagger."

When Taiyue thought that Nymeria would remain silent, her voice came from the side:

"The psychic power of the Burial Dagger was awakened after the Great Rift. The person who uses this dagger can become invisible and gain psychic prophecy."

Nymeria put away the psychic dagger and appeared in front of Taiyue again.

"Powerful psychic?"

"I only know that the lord was one of the original mentors of the Grey Knights, and I don't know anything else."

Nymeria said without hesitation that Taiyue was also the mentor of the Grey Knights, which was why she was willing to introduce the origin of the Burial Dagger. If she denied it, she would not speak.

"The original Grand Master of the Grey Knights?!"

After listening to Nymeria's introduction, Tai Yue suddenly thought of the tomb of the Death Land on Titan. At the end of the tomb is the Tomb of Eight, where the original eight Grand Masters of the Grey Knights are buried.

Who could it be? The statues and tombstones in front of the tombs of the eight Grand Masters flashed through Tai Yue's mind.

But he didn't have time to think about it. The two of them moved forward quickly while communicating, and soon arrived in front of a towering palace. Several Chaos Space Marines guarded the entrance of the palace.

Inside the palace, Chaos wizard Decimus opened a metal box with a stasis field, and inside was a human head, the head of the rebellious Primarch.

With messy hair, pale skin and closed eyes, the Father of Genes seemed to have fallen into a deep sleep.

Chaos Lord Zuo Sahar stepped forward, and although he was reluctant, he still returned the 'Crown of the Night', the symbol of the Legion's rule.

The blood-red rubies and dazzling diamonds on the Crown of Night contrasted sharply with its obsidian frame. Zuo Sahar wore the Crown of Night on his head.

(I tried my best to complete the original eight Grand Masters of the Grey Knights. The volume of The Sorcerer's Star tells that Alvida of the Thousand Sons Loyalists bound the Terra fragment that merged with Magnus and became Janus, the first Supreme Grand Master of the Grey Knights. After his death, his soul fragment was inherited by Jerome in this book (1/8).
