Chapter 212 The Old House of the Black Family

When Ethan found Sirius Black, he was flipping through a book borrowed from the Hogwarts library with great interest.

"Blake, I think it might be time for you to fulfill your promise." Ethan said seriously.

Sirius Black raised his head and glanced at Ethan in surprise, but quickly stood up from his chair.

Ethan and Sirius Black had previously made an unbreakable oath, which stipulated that after Ethan helped Sirius Black prove his innocence, Sirius Black would swear allegiance to Ethan.

"It's about time, Ethan." Sirius Black said to Ethan, "Do you need me to kneel down and swear an oath to you?"

After saying that, Sirius Black lifted his robe and was about to kneel down to swear allegiance to Ethan.

"I don't think there is any need for these false courtesy." Ethan said to Sirius Black, and at the same time, he grabbed Sirius Black's arm with his hand to stop Sirius Black's next movement.

"I want to go to your Black family's old house. I want to investigate some things there." Ethan said to Sirius Black calmly.

"My home?" Sirius Black was a little confused. He didn't expect that Ethan's first request would be this.

"What do you want in my house?" Sirius Black asked doubtfully.

"I have been helping Dumbledore search for Voldemort's Horcruxes. Only by finding all the Horcruxes can Voldemort be completely killed. I suspect everything in your family."

"I don't have that disgusting thing in my house!" Sirius Black shouted angrily.

Sirius Black thought that Ethan was simply insulting his family. Sirius Black, who was about to yell and argue, suddenly froze.

Only then did he recall how many Death Eaters there were in the Black family, and it was entirely possible for something like Voldemort's Horcrux to appear in his family's old house.

Sirius Black suddenly silenced himself like a choked chicken.

"You know that too, right?" Ethan looked at Sirius Black with a half-smile.

Sirius Black was rarely blushing with embarrassment, but he quickly calmed down.

"I can take you to our house." Sirius Black pretended to be calm and said to Ethan, "When do you want to go?"

"Right now," Ethan said.

"Okay one by one" Sirius Black let out a long breath.

Ethan and Sirius Black then used the Hogwarts fireplace to go to Diagon Alley.

Then Ethan took Sirius Black's arm, and Sirius Black used Apparition to take Ethan to a strange Muggle street.

There is a small square next to the street. This place seemed to be a gathering place for Muggle homeless people in the past. The ground was full of garbage, which was blown left and right by the wind.

The surrounding houses were in dilapidated condition, and no one seemed to live in them. The windows of most of the houses were broken, revealing the dark rooms inside, like empty eyes.

The pale white light of the street lamps shines on the wooden doors with peeling paint on these houses.

The entire street looked very decayed and desolate. Only a few windows in the entire street had lights on, and vague light shone through the curtains.

"This is my home." Sirius Black murmured, looking at this street with very complicated eyes.

Sirius Black fumbled in his pocket for a while, pulled out a note, and handed it to Ethan.

"Remember what is on this note carefully and do not read it out," Sirius Black said to Ethan.

Ethan took the paper and read it carefully. It read in scattered handwriting, "Old residence of the Black family, No. 12 Grimmauld Place."

When Ethan finished reading the note, it immediately burst into flames and soon turned into a pile of ash.

"But where is it?" Ethan asked doubtfully.

Ethan carefully inspected the two dilapidated houses on this street.

One building has the number 11 written on it, and the other has the number 13 written on it.

Where No. 12 was supposed to be, there was only a pile of stinky garbage with stinking water flowing out.

"Recite the contents of the note silently in your mind." Sirius Black said to Ethan.

As soon as Ethan recited it silently, he was surprised to find that a house suddenly appeared in front of him without any warning.

It's as if the house suddenly grew out of the ground.

The house looked like the other houses on the street, shabby.

They all have dirty walls and eerie windows that look like human eyes.

"This is the old house of the Black family. Let's go in quickly," Sirius Black said uneasily. He seemed a little shy about being close to home.

Ethan carefully stepped onto the shabby, somewhat shaky stone steps and arrived at the door of the house.

The black paint on the door was peeling off, and it was covered with clear-looking scratches on the left and right.

A dark silver door knocker was nailed to the door. The door knocker was carved into the shape of a coiled snake.

There was no keyhole or handle on the door, and Ethan was a little curious about how he could get in.

Sirius Black took a step forward, stood in front of the door, took out his wand and knocked on the door rhythmically a few times.

It seemed that Sirius Black's tapping had triggered some switch, and a jingling sound came from the door immediately.

This sound seemed to be that some kind of mechanical device was running, with the sound of gears running and the clattering sound caused by the winch pulling the chain.

After a burst of noise, the door finally creaked open.

As soon as the door opened, Ethan was pushed in by Sirius Black.

As soon as he crossed the threshold, Ethan was greeted by a dusty spider web, which immediately confused Ethan's face.

Ethan even felt that some cobwebs ran into his mouth.

Ethan pulled the cobwebs off his face and spat out the dirt that ran into his mouth.

"Oh my god! Blake, your family is so unique," Ethan complained.

"No one has lived in our house for many years!" Sirius Black argued angrily before Ethan could finish.

Although he doesn't like any member of his family, he still feels uncomfortable when someone says something wrong about his family.

Hearing Sirius Black say this, Ethan could only curl his lips and say nothing.

Only then did Ethan have time to take a closer look at the old house of the Black family.

At this time, the two of them had entered a dark hallway, and the room had a very strong musty smell and the smell of rotting wood.

By the time Sirius Black walked into the house and closed the door, the entire entrance hall was completely invisible.

"Wait, I remember there is a light here!" Sirius Black's voice came from the darkness.

Then there was the sound of footsteps on the wooden floor, and the sound of tinkling bells.

"Ha! Here!" Sirius Black's voice came out from the darkness again.

Then after a rustling sound, a row of old-fashioned gas lamps on the wall suddenly lit up.
