Witcher at Hogwarts

Chapter 30 A gift for Snape

As soon as Malfoy arrived in the Great Hall the next morning, all the Gryffindor students looked at him and smiled, and some shouted, "Malfoy, you have a new scar on your face!"

Malfoy did not answer, but said to Goyle, "Warm two glasses of pumpkin juice and have a bowl of mashed potatoes." The Weasley twins shouted deliberately, "You must have tripped again!" Malfoy opened his eyes. Big Eyes said, "How come you are so innocent of others out of thin air...". "What innocence? The day before yesterday, I saw you miss the mark and roll down the stairs." Malfoy blushed, and the veins on his forehead popped out, and argued, "The miss cannot be counted as... tripping! ... …Can pure-blood matters be counted?" The words that followed were difficult to understand, such as "pure-blood glory" and "mudblood", which caused everyone to burst into laughter: the atmosphere inside and outside the auditorium was filled with joy.

The farce ended with Professor Snape deducting five points from Gryffindor.

In the following days, the basilisk did not continue to attack, but the defense of Hogwarts still did not relax at all. Ethan still took his wizard close defense class every day, and Ethan deliberately taught it in the first-year class. I shared a story with the little wizards that I had already prepared.

In the story, he met a scholar who was controlled by an evil spirit in an ancient book. He used his remaining sanity to seek help from Ethan. Finally, after a series of thrilling adventures, Ethan finally released the ancient book's control over the scholar and allowed him to Scholars regain a bright future.

After class, the first-grade wizards discussed the content of the story excitedly. Only Ginny looked at Ethan with a pale face. Ginny pinched the corners of her clothes tightly with her hands and seemed hesitant to speak. In the end, Ginny Ni turned around and ran away quickly.

Ethan looked at Ginny's retreating back with some disappointment. It seemed that it was a bit too naive to trick him into getting Tom's notebook with a story.

Ginny had already made it clear that the black diary was definitely a terrible black magic item that tempted her to do terrible things. After listening to the story Ethan told today, Ginny immediately thought of giving the notebook to Ethan. Professor Sen.

But when the words came to her mouth, Ginny was still timid. She was afraid that the professors would hold her responsible for releasing the basilisk.

After the course, a little Slytherin wizard found Ethan. The little wizard was a little afraid and told Ethan that his dean, Professor Snape, was looking for him. After that, he ran away. Ethan was a little worried. I wonder why the little wizard of the Snake Yard is afraid of me.

Ethan followed the winding stairs to the Potions office next to the Slytherin lounge. Just as Ethan was about to knock on the door, Snape's cold voice came from the door, "Come in."

Ethan walked into the office and found Snape sitting behind the desk. There were many bottles and jars filled with potions on the desk, but Snape was still huddled in the shadows like an old bat, looking sallow. Looking at Ethan with an expressionless face, Ethan saw some more jars on the shelves along the wall. Ethan found that the contents soaked in them were some otherworldly biological materials such as water ghost brains and swamp witch tongues.

"The potions recorded in your notebook have been cracked except for the green herbal potions. They can now be made with materials from this world, and ordinary people can also drink them directly."

Snape said calmly in a normal tone, "To be honest, as a potion, your demon hunters' herbal potion is really crude and barbaric. Drinking this potion is no different from seeking death. You all love to use it." Are you gambling with your life?"

Ethan did not refute, but instead felt a little depressed. As the last newcomer of the Wolf School, Ethan naturally knew the cruelty of the Green Grass Trial and the terrible success rate of only three tenths. The mutation process was also a terrible torture. The process will continue for several days.

During this period, Ethan took a magical mutation potion, which completely changed Ethan's metabolic function. Then you have to wait for the effects to occur, which is usually an extremely scary process.

Continuous high fever, vomiting, bleeding, epilepsy, at this point the selection of witchers is indeed very harsh. The vast majority of people who go through trials will not survive this stage.

A few are able to move on to the next part - change. During this stage the witcher is given more potions and injections, infected with some nasty stuff...again experiencing high fevers, sweating, hallucinations, incontinence, and unexplained vomiting.

This process is said to be occasionally "enhanced" when testing new elixirs and mutagens.

Obviously this means more pain, vomiting, and worse for those chosen to undergo these "special trials" trials. Only Geralt survived the trials, but was left with a lifetime of painful memories and hair that had lost its pigment.

Others who underwent these particular experiments were not so lucky—none of them survived.

Ethan once saw a record in the castle of Kaer Morhen, which recorded the list of demon hunter apprentices who participated in the Trial of Green Grass.

Barthel of Henhous, 9 years old - died of heart failure after taking witch weed.

Diedric of Glebe, age 10 - Survived after the trial, but died shortly afterwards of multiple organ failure.

Ben Greene's Japp, 8 years old - survived the trial, but suffered severe brain damage and required euthanasia.

Aled of Rogovin, 10 years old - died after taking grassgrass and suffered intracerebral hemorrhage.

Limbu's Koenraad, 9 - Surviving, recovering, may start training next month.

Seeing Ethan who was a little depressed, Snape knew that he had made a mistake, but his character would never apologize. Fortunately, Ethan quickly adjusted himself. Ethan politely thanked Snape for localizing the potion. He made great efforts and then rummaged around in his bag.

Soon Ethan took out a monster head with an unpleasant rancid smell from his bag. This was a souvenir from Ethan's first demon hunting commission. It was the head of a tomb witch. Ethan planned to use it as a souvenir. As a thank you gift to Snape.

Snape looked at Ethan's head on the table with some eagerness. As a Potions Master, Snape was no longer interested in money and fame. The only thing that excited Snape was new knowledge.

This is also the main reason why Snape is willing to study potions with Ethan. At the same time, the bodies of monsters from other worlds that Ethan brought also made Snape particularly enthusiastic.

In fact, Snape has a special interest in biological materials. Many times when Snape is alone in the office, he will take out the "exquisite" biological samples that he has soaked in jars and admire them quietly. This is Snape's unknown hobby.

Now I saw the monster head that Ethan took out, which seemed to be worth much more than the biological samples that Ethan had provided before, and claimed to give it to him as a thank you gift.

Snape thanked Ethan, and then handed Ethan the potion and the notes on how to make the potion that he had prepared. He politely bid farewell to Ethan and watched Ethan walk out of his office. Snape was a little anxious. Impatiently, he picked up the Tomb Witch's head and began to appreciate it carefully.
