A day at Hogwarts

Chapter 305 It’s time to play

The Gryffindor common room was quiet. Hermione had finished her homework, packed her things, and was about to carry Crookshanks back to the dormitory.

There was a movement from the doorway, and Charles came back, looking not very good.

Hermione asked him: "Where have you been?"

"Didn't Harry go out with you?"

Charles replied weakly: "Harry was captured by the headmaster."

"It's getting late, it's time to go to bed."

Hermione sighed and said, "I told you not to go out at night. Look, I'll be caught. I don't know how many points will be deducted this time."

After she finished speaking, she carried her schoolbag in one hand and Crookshanks in the other and returned to the dormitory.

Charles returned to the dormitory, put down the bed curtains and lay on the bed, looking at the top of the bed blankly.

He had just practiced the Patronus Charm to draw cards after practicing the mirror space, but unexpectedly, a new trick appeared.

He lay in bed and thought about it for most of the night, but he couldn't figure it out. What the hell is the Patronus of Peashooters?

The next day was Saturday, and Charles wanted to sleep until he woke up naturally, but Seamus opened the bed curtain and let Ruby peck his head.

This guy came back from Germany, not only bringing back herbal seeds, but also a lot of snacks given to him by Marlene and her classmates.

Ruby puts her snacks under the bed and takes them when she wants.

Seamus got close to him for a while, and finally he took out a bag of gummy bears and gave it to Seamus.

Charles was silent as he looked at the crispy pork knuckle in front of him. Marlene made it and shouldn't keep it for too long. It would be breakfast today.

In the cafeteria, students were eating breakfast, Dean and Neville were discussing this year's Quidditch match, Ron was feeding Scabbers, Lavender and Seamus were telling the joke about him in the Daily Prophet, which attracted a lot of attention. Ginny and the others next to them also laughed.

There were a few fewer people at the dining table than usual, but everyone didn't care, thinking they were sleeping in.

When breakfast was about to end, Dumbledore suddenly stood up and said to the students as if nothing had happened: "I want to tell you one thing. Everyone will listen while eating."

The students looked at him curiously, and many of them stopped after eating.

Dumbledore continued: "After extensive discussion and careful consideration, Hogwarts has made a new decision, that is...that is...what is it?"

"Oops, I can't remember now that I'm old."

No one thought he was old and confused, and it suddenly whetted everyone's appetite.

"Oh, I remembered." Dumbledore looked like he suddenly remembered something important. "That is, this school year, everyone can go to Hogsmeade on the first and third weekends of every month."

Except for the first and second grade students, the students immediately cheered, and many wanted to rush out of the cafeteria.

For Hogwarts students, leaving the castle to play in Hogsmeade is an entertainment activity comparable to the Quidditch game, and perhaps now it can be added with an extracurricular teaching of Defense Against the Dark Arts.

It's been a week since the school year started, and everyone found that the schoolwork was much more difficult than before, and some people started to feel a little moody.

But things are different now. I used to be able to go to Hogsmeade once for a long time, but now I can go twice a month, and I have no time to worry about my emotions.

Charles was chewing pig trotters in front of the desk in his bedroom. He already knew what Dumbledore said.

When Dumbledore went to play on the computer during the holidays, he mentioned to the old man that he wanted to "increase the burden" on the students. The old man definitely agreed. After all, it had been so long since he graduated, and he was not the one suffering.

However, he still reminded the students not to tense up too much and to let them relax.

Ever since, Dumbledore decided to increase the number of times students go to Hogsmeade.

When Charles finished chewing the pig's trotters and was about to wipe his hands with rubies, Harry came in.

"I saw the door was open and there was aroma wafting out." Harry looked like he had just woken up and his hair was messy. "What were you eating just now?"

"Breakfast," Charles said, and then looked at Harry maliciously.

Harry knew what he wanted to do as soon as he saw those two claws, and immediately took out his wand and pointed at it.

"If you dare to wipe my hands with me, I'll beat you up!"

The poor baby has been through this before.

If he hadn't met the Dementor on the train, the Boggart would have turned into Charles in front of him.

The conspiracy was discovered, and Charles moved his hands and became clean.

Harry said to him: "I want to tell you about Black."

"I had a long discussion with Professor Dumbledore and Professor Lupin last night, and I always felt that there was something fishy about this matter."

Charles cleaned up the empty pot, stuffed it under the bed, and said to Harry: "The snacks here are all made of rubies. Don't try to get rid of them. I'm afraid you won't be able to hit them if you try."

"You go and comb your hair first. Ron will come to see you later."

Harry was not sure about Hogwarts' new policy and thought it was something Ron told him in the morning.

Charles kept interrupting, and Harry couldn't continue talking about Black until Seamus rushed back to the dormitory.

"Hurry!" Seamus pulled out his suitcase from under the bed, "Hurry and get the consent form, we can go to Hogsmeade!"

Charles pretended to be very happy and ran off with Seamus.

Soon after, the boys gathered in the common room, Harry was pulled along by Ron, and they all headed to Hogsmeade.

The deans of the four colleges were already waiting at the back door of the castle. The third-year students could only leave after handing the consent forms to the deans.

It doesn't matter to Charles. He can go to Hogsmeade with the certificate from the Centaur Liaison Office, but now he still has to go through the process.

Harry and Ron lined up in front of Charles. Professor McGonagall took Ron's consent form, looked at it, and nodded to let him pass.

Next, Professor McGonagall took Harry's consent form, frowned, raised her head and asked Charles: "Smith, do you know about this?"

Charles was confused and looked at the form handed over by Professor McGonagall, with the corners of his mouth raised slightly.

He didn't expect that Vernon actually gave him and the old man the power to withdraw their consent, so he said to Harry: "Harry, you don't want to lose the opportunity to go to Hogsmeade, do you?"

As a result, Professor McGonagall said very sternly: "Smith, if you dare to use this to threaten Potter into writing your homework, I will revoke your qualification to go to Hogsmeade."

Professor Sprout, who was next to him, immediately turned around and asked, "Minerva, are you Charles' parent?"

Professor Flitwick also turned his head to watch the excitement, but was blocked by Snape and took two steps forward.

Professor McGonagall immediately denied: "No, no, don't talk nonsense!"

Charles was very depressed and handed his consent form to Professor Sprout and Professor Flitwick. The old man wrote on it that if he broke any law or discipline in school, he could ask the dean to revoke his consent. He must have learned this from Vernon.

Professors Sprout and Flitwick sighed in disappointment.

The group of people came to Hogsmeade talking and laughing, discussing where to go first.

As soon as they arrived at the edge of the village, everyone found a beautiful woman waving to Charles.
