A new world for a hundred generations

The third life is over + I'm taking a day off (come and see if you're still raising it!)

I'm taking a day off tomorrow. I hope everyone can read a single chapter and then start killing it. It's outrageous to have a million words in half a year.

Then, I will update the three missing chapters tomorrow together with the chapters of that day on May 3rd.

After asking for leave, let’s talk about the summary of the two lives.

I wrote about Baishi Town for two consecutive lives. Actually, I just wanted to deepen the impression and let everyone remember that there is such a name and such a place, instead of forgetting it in a blink of an eye.

Due to the power of the writing and the dark background, there are actually very few things the protagonist can do in White Rock Town, and since almost no one is willing to teach the protagonist knowledge, obtaining new information can only be discovered from a God's perspective and the protagonist's own exploration. This is indeed It will appear more boring.

I've said enough in my second life. In my third life, I originally wanted to speed up the pace and not explain too much, but everyone said that my level had dropped and I couldn't understand it, so I had to write more explanations... Although It doesn't seem to make any sense, and there will still be another group of people who complain about too many explanatory texts.

This is really helpless. With my level, I really can’t have both.

In short, after finishing writing these two lives, I am actually quite satisfied. I didn’t have any writing failure, and I basically wrote what I wanted to write. This is quite difficult for someone who wants to write.

But in terms of shortcomings, there are obviously many. For example, in the third life, I should write more about the growth of characters, the development of Tomorrow Society, the demons that appear in the catastrophe, etc. But due to space reasons, I basically shortened them. I'll start with a few hundred pictures if I write them all, and everyone is probably going to hate me for waiting...

It is worth mentioning that when I was writing the third life, I discussed with my friends whether to write at a fast pace or at a slow pace.

My friend suggested that I write a fast-paced story, where disaster strikes at the very beginning, and then uses various events to guide the people of White Rock Town to come out and deal with them one by one.

I quite agree with this idea. Reading novels is just about having fun. Of course, it’s better to have a faster pace and seek revenge sooner.

But I thought about it for a long time, but I couldn't think of a good reason to lure the people out of Baishi Town. I felt that I couldn't convince myself logically, so I chose a slow pace and wrote it slowly, gradually leading to a situation where a catastrophe will happen.

Then the catastrophe changed. It was originally a large-scale disaster. If you didn't enter Baishi Town, you would have to survive in a crisis-ridden environment. Then, just like Doomsday, you would fight monsters, upgrade, collect supplies, build various magic weapons, and draw Various talismans are more individualistic.

But it’s the same reason. It requires too many words, the pace is too slow, and one person can solve Baishi Town. Even in the early stage, it feels like a group is meaningless, so I didn’t choose this route and postponed it until The fourth life.

Looking back carefully, most of the time the direction of the story is limited by my ability. Some directions are very good, but I can't write them, and they fall apart as soon as I write them. I can only use my strengths and avoid weaknesses.

This is very embarrassing. Sometimes when I read some comments, I really want to get angry in my face and tell him - I give you the pen, you go and write.

This sentence is not to say that the readers are not good enough, but that the plot is not something that can be written if you want to. It is not as simple as imagined.

Having said this, another shortcoming of this book comes out again, that is, there are so many settings.

I wrote more than a hundred chapters before, and countless people were asking about the setting. I felt that many questions had to be answered, otherwise they would not be clear. As a result, I accumulated almost 300 questions.

I thought about it recently and deleted them all. I was struggling with the setting so I wanted to answer, but if I answered, other readers would have no room to speak and discuss. It’s better to delete them and just read them with doubts. Anyway, You will understand later when you look at it.

I can only say that the huge number of settings is my fatal flaw. I probably like to write novel works, so I use up a lot of brain cells to think about settings and world views. I will only write if I find it interesting. This has always been my biggest flaw. The wish is to build a complete world, suitable for writing fan fiction.

Maybe it was influenced by those old monsters from the past, such as Infinite Horror. In addition to the eye-catching setting, the most powerful thing about the first game is the plot. The settings are quietly integrated into it without the need for long narration. I hope I In the future, I can gradually integrate the settings into the story naturally.

The fourth life will be the story of Yuntian Lingzong. In the Luo Dynasty, the town was a military town, serving as a node to resist demons, and the city was the center of a huge area. It had a wider scope of intervention and more stories to play. In this life This is the authentic version of cultivating immortality. I will try my best to write it well, but this life will probably be much longer.
