A treasure-appraisal maniac

Chapter 1186 Eight Heavenly Dragons

With Uncle Lu's current strong character, it would definitely be a big event to make him lose his composure like this.

That's exactly what happened.

In the wooden box that stuns the eyes, there are eight Buddha statues wrapped in black residue.

These eight Buddha statues are just over twenty centimeters high and about nine centimeters in diameter, with almost the same specifications.

There are eight Buddha statues, both male and female, with vivid and abstract shapes.

From left to right, the first Buddha is like the gods.

Zhutian is a statue of the protector god in a Buddhist temple, usually enshrined between the east and west walls of the Main Hall.

According to the "Golden Light Sutra: Ghosts and Gods", there are "twenty heavens", in order: the heaven of merit, the heaven of eloquence, the heaven of Brahma, the heaven of Emperor Shakti, the king of the country in the east, the king of growth in the south, the king of wide eyes in the west, and the king of many in the north. King Wen Tian, Sun Sky, Moon Sky, Vajra Secret Hercules, Mahasura Sura Sky, General Sanzhi, Wei Tuo Sky, Jian Lao Earth God, Bodhi Tree God, Ghost Mother, Mali Zhi Tian, Bhagala Dragon King, Yama King Mora.

Later, the four Taoist gods King Kinnara, Emperor Ziwei, Emperor Dongyue and Thunder God were added, making it the "twenty-four days".

Nowadays, there are many "fasting to heaven" rituals in southern Buddhist temples.

The second one is the python god.

The great python god has the body of a snake and the head of a snake, that is, the dragon god.

"The Sutra of Karma by Elder Lu Zhi" says: "At that time, four people, including gods, dragons and eight tribes, surrounded by four people, the king and everyone else, bowed to the ground and made homage to the Buddha."

Almost every sutra has similar scenes.

Also written as "Dragon God King" and "Eight Parts of Tianlong".

For example, Li Daoyuan of the Northern Wei Dynasty wrote in "Shui Jing Zhu He Shui 1": "The king collected the relics and made buckets of gold to measure them. He got eight dendrobiums and four buckets, and the kings, heavenly dragons, and god kings each got a little.

The next six Buddha statues are Yaksha, Gandharva, Asura, Garuda, Kinnara and Bamahuraka.

Many people are a little confused when it comes to the names of these eight great gods.

But everyone should have watched the Hong Kong martial arts TV series "Dragon".

There was a painting at the beginning of that TV series, and the eight characters on that painting were these eight great gods.

These eight bosses are the eight righteous protectors of the Buddhist scriptures, which are also the eight heavenly dragons often seen in the Buddhist scriptures.

The Eight Divisions of Heavenly Dragons are also called the Eight Divisions of Heavenly Dragons, the Eight Divisions of Dragon Gods, and the Eight Divisions of Dragon Gods. These terms come from Buddhist scriptures.

Many Mahayana Buddhist scriptures describe that when the Buddha preached to Bodhisattvas, monks, etc., there were often eight deities, dragons, and eight tribes involved in listening to the Dharma.

The Eight Tribes of Heavenly Dragons include eight kinds of Shinto beings. Because "Heavenly Beings" and "Dragon Beings" are the most important, they are called "Eight Tribes of Heavenly Dragons".

Among the eight celestial dragons, the heavens and the great python god, also known as the dragon god, are the first, followed by the other six.

These eight righteous gods must be worshiped in all Buddhist temples around the world.

What shocked Lu Fei was not only the Buddha statue of the Eight Heavenly Dragons, but more importantly, the material of the Buddha statue.

These eight Buddha statues are not gold, copper, or wood, but porcelain.

After the rain, the sky is clear and the clouds are broken, this is the color of the future.

These eight Buddha statues are all from the Qingtian Ru Kiln with a large opening.

It's incredible.

Ru kiln plates, bowls, vases, washers, statues, lamp holders, narcissus basins, etc. are all familiar to the collecting community.

But who has seen the Ru kiln Buddha statue?

Do you have?

Not to mention that I have seen him, if he is not a great master like Kong Fan Long Guan Haishan, I am afraid I have never even heard of him.

However, this is the truth.

Ru kiln has indeed fired Buddha statues, and only once.

This time, it took nine months.

That time I made eight Buddha statues, which are the eight heavenly dragons in front of me.

Seeing these eight Ru kiln Buddha statues, Lu Fei's blood surged with excitement.

At this moment, Lu Fei couldn't feel the smell at all.

Stretch out your hand and clean up the black mud beside the Buddha statue.

These are actually not sludge, but fibrous debris from completely decayed fabrics.

Judging from the situation, it turned out that these eight Buddha statues were packed tightly with cloth and were exposed after rotting.

Although the wrapping cloth rotted away, the eight Buddha statues were well preserved as there was no external damage.

He rubbed his hands vigorously on his clothes to completely wipe off the sweat on his palms, and then carefully took out the statues of the Buddhas from the box.

Don't care about anything else, just turn the Buddha statue over.

Lu Fei was completely relieved when he saw the word "Fenghua" prominently displayed on the bottom of the payment.

Only the Fenghua model is 100% authentic.

As mentioned earlier, Ru kiln only fired Buddha statues once. This was not a whim of Song Huizong, but forced by helplessness.

It took manpower, material and financial resources and lasted nine months. There is a reason for this.

In the second year of Daguan, Fenghua Palace was haunted.

Zhao Ji's most beloved Concubine Liu was in panic all day long.

Seeing the beauty getting thinner day by day, Zhao Ji was heartbroken and quickly ordered someone to invite Master Baoyuan, the abbot of Xiangguo Temple.

Master Baoyuan led the monks to set up a water and land Taoist temple in Fenghua Palace and practiced it for 7749 days. Unfortunately, it was completely useless.

Zhao Ji Longyan was displeased, and Master Baoyuan was completely confused.

I really had no idea, so I invited the eight-part Tianlong Buddha statue that is the treasure of Xiangguo Temple.

However, this is not a Ru kiln, but a gilt Buddha statue.

This was a valuable treasure given personally by Gao Yang, Emperor Wenxuan of the Northern Qi Dynasty, when Jianguo Temple, the predecessor of Xiangguo Temple, was established in the first year of Tianbao.

After more than five hundred years of worship and blessing, these eight Buddha statues have long been incomparable.

Master Baoyuan placed these eight righteous gods on the eight directional points of Fenghua Palace and repeated the practice.

Don't tell me, the effect this time

Obviously, Liu Meiren can finally sleep peacefully.

In fact, it's all nonsense.

It was Concubine Liu who killed two servants. She just felt guilty and couldn't sleep at night.

To put it bluntly, you are scaring yourself.

But why can Concubine Liu Guifei fall asleep when the Eight Heavenly Dragons are in place?

This is also psychological.

Master Baoyuan explained the origins of these eight Buddha statues and the power of the eight righteous gods.

After learning that these eight bosses were so awesome, Concubine Liu felt relieved.

However, these eight Buddha statues are the treasures of Xiangguo Temple. It is not a problem to always be placed in Fenghua Palace to serve women.

In the following period, Master Baoyuan asked for it many times, but Concubine Liu refused to give it.

Song Huizong tried to smooth things over in the middle, and finally came up with a good idea to re-create eight Buddha statues based on the prototypes of these eight Buddha statues.

Gold, silver, copper, wood, and beauties don't like to see you, but they like Ru kiln.

Of course, Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty could not disappoint the beauty, so he ordered the burning of Ru kiln Buddha statues.

Firing other utensils and firing Buddhist statues are two completely different concepts.

The heating surfaces of the corners and gaps are different, and the glaze water cannot achieve the effect.

After more than 300 tests, it took nine months to complete the firing.

The eight treasures of the Xiangguo Temple that guarded the temple had been waiting for Liu Meiren in Fenghua Palace for nearly a year before they were invited back.

In order to prevent Liu Meiren from going back on her word, these eight treasures of the temple were directly sealed. From then on, no one knew where they were enshrined.

These secrets are not found in Song history.

However, it is recorded in Buddhist scriptures and histories.

It is impossible for a non-erudite person to understand this.

In the first year of Jingkang, the Jin army came to the city, Song Huizong abdicated, Liu Guifei fell out of favor, and the whereabouts of these eight Ru kiln Buddha statues are unknown.

Since then, it has never appeared again.
