Adventurer of the Elf World
Closing remarks
Thank you for your continued support. I finally finished writing... although it's only the Kanto chapter.
I originally estimated that there would be between 30 and 50 chapters, but I found that I had dug a lot of holes, so I could only try to fill them in. So I wrote more and more, and it's almost 70 chapters.
The agreed time has passed, which made me a little anxious. You can see that this part of the plot is very rushed, and the ending seems very hasty.
It's normal for you to say that I have a bad ending, and I understand.
This is why I decided to end it after writing the Kanto chapter.
I have been writing the outline for many years. Originally, the several major regions before the Galar region all have complete plot lines in the outline.
But if I really want to write it, I may not be able to finish it even if I write 10 million words.
What's more, if my ideas are not recognized, there is no point in writing it, because this is the meaning of the existence of an author or a work.
When I lose readers... I will die...
To be honest, it is beyond my imagination to be able to write here. Thank you again for your support.
This book carries too many of my ideas and hopes, but everyone has seen it...
Now Pokémon, whether it is animation or game, is consuming the goodwill accumulated in my childhood.
If I liked that world so much back then, I am now disgusted with those people's actions. They destroyed the Pokémon world in my memory.
And everyone can see what achievements are in reality. After writing two million words, it is still so awesome. The world that I have painstakingly built is not recognized. For an author, it is a failure.
Of course, this also reflects that my writing style and ideas are problematic, and I can't blame others.
The biggest mistake I made in this book is my understanding of the identity of "Adventurer".
Originally, the theme I wanted to express was that readers follow the protagonist's sight to discover and explore the Pokémon world I constructed.
So the world view, social structure, the relationship between different forces, and the completion of history occupy a very important part of the plot.
Another part is that the protagonist himself changes as the plot progresses.
My understanding is that this is also an adventure, because adventure represents discovery, exploration and research.
This leads to readers who want to see the protagonist's outdoor adventure to see a long and redundant opening of three hundred chapters.
Yes, theoretically, the protagonist really starts when he leaves Pallet Town, and the previous part is accumulating strength.
There are even more business wars and political plots later.
Anyway, my desire to perfect the world led to a misinterpretation of the meaning of "adventure" between me and the readers, resulting in a very distorted plot.
There is also the issue of the emotional line. I have said many times that the original outline was finalized many years ago, so there is no doubt that it is a harem.
If you are in the group, you should know what I like...
But when I wrote the previous book, I found that I could not write emotional dramas, and the environment brought about by the changes in the times was different, so all the female supporting roles became "relatives and friends".
As for whether Jun took Xiu down that night, it depends on personal opinion, because I don't know...
To be honest, the plots of many supporting roles are irrelevant to the main plot, and theoretically they can be cut off, but I kept them because their different identities reflect different sides of this world.
But these useless plots dilute the already small outdoor adventure plots, making it look more chaotic and procrastinated.
In short, what I want is to build a world as complete as possible, so even if I change it once, it is still the same, because this is my Pokémon world.
But obviously not many readers will buy it. Those who have read this far should know that this book has definitely deviated from the original expectations.
It has also deviated from the relaxed Pokémon world in the minds of the public.
But now everything is over...
Maybe if I change the way I write, it may not be so miserable, but I don’t regret it, because as Xiu said, "This is my own path."
Xiu’s story is temporarily over, but my story is not over yet. I will continue to go on. See you again if we are lucky...
