American Comics: BOSS Invasion

#112 - Halfway shooting

“A wise choice!” Madame Viper smiled with satisfaction.

“Hmph!”

Mister Negative was clearly somewhat wary, though he didn't show it on his face, merely humming softly and closing his eyes to rest.

Two subordinates stood behind him, constantly on guard.

Martin Li, a super-powered criminal, possessed black and white energy within him that could corrupt others.

Not to mention ordinary people, even few superheroes could withstand it.

He was originally a snakehead, once partnered with the Maggia for business, but he overlooked the risk of the Russian mob going crazy when calculating costs and benefits, resulting in the Maggia wiping him out.

While being experimented on by the Maggia, he accidentally awakened his black and white energy and escaped, later establishing a demon-like organization specifically to oppose the Maggia, making them true archenemies.

To say Martin wasn't a simple man was an understatement; he could endure the presence of his enemy, which surprised Madame Viper.

She had originally intended to use him as a tool to scare the monkeys, not paying him any attention, but she didn't expect this kid to be so patient.

Madame Viper nodded inwardly: As expected, no one who can establish themselves in New York is a fool.

Over the next dozen minutes, waves of fierce-looking, burly men arrived, and one by one, prominent figures arrived.

Gravestone Lonnie Lincoln, Jigsaw Billy Russo, and Cottonmouth Cornell Stokes, among seven or eight other big shots, filled half the conference room.

The originally spacious room also seemed much fuller, and the smell of cigars permeated the entire room.

Madame Viper had expected it to be noisy, but unexpectedly, these big shots seemed to have agreed beforehand, all sitting down and waiting in silence.

Everyone looked somewhat nonchalant, seemingly not taking the gathering to heart, but only Madame Viper could see through them, knowing what terrible thoughts were swirling in their minds.

She suddenly chuckled: “I think it's almost time, Joseph, is there anyone who hasn't arrived yet?”

A dozen gazes shot over, and Joseph said expressionlessly: “I should have also invited Mr. Fisk, Madame Gao, and… Daredevil!”

The three words 'Daredevil' immediately caused a change in several gazes.

To them, these three words were like a nightmare; in the few months of his appearance, the losses in business were staggering, and many gangs had been visited by him.

There was still a wanted order for Daredevil on the streets, but unfortunately, this person was elusive and preferred to walk in the darkness, so even now they didn't know Daredevil's true identity.

This was the most infuriating thing for many big shots.

However, more people remained unmoved; they knew more.

Actually, it was not surprising; when Qishan chose to appear publicly as Gao Guang, he didn't intend to block the news.

Madame Viper chuckled: “Perhaps you should write Mike Qi!”

“Is there any difference?”

“Just two small Inhumans, recently recruited, considered an initiation test!” Joseph said expressionlessly.

Suddenly, Jigsaw Billy cackled: “I thought of the same thing! But I led a vicious dog over there; it should be lively tonight!”

Madame Viper looked around and noticed that the big shots all had an expression that this was to be expected, and she couldn't help but purse her lips slightly.

---

Three blocks away, a convoy was driving on a newly cleared road.

After obtaining Lingzi Technology, Qishan finally upgraded his equipment and was no longer in a 'briefcase company' state.

The newly built “Soul Society,” although built on the foundation of Qishan's skin, possessing the ability to be indestructible and absorb attacks and convert them into Lingzi, was still in its infancy.

However, even so, it could still do many things.

For example, the cars and guns manufactured using Lingzi materialization were very simple with Doctor Gero around.

At this time, Qishan was sitting in a Rolls-Royce Phantom, and the twelve bulletproof SUVs in front and behind were made in this way.

Qishan sat in the back row, closing his eyes to rest. The two front paws of the little dragon cat were on his shoulders, and his little head twisted left and right, very curious about the scenery outside the window.

Sixteen and Daredevil Matt were sitting on the side.

Doctor Gero didn't come; his androids Seventeen and Eighteen were about to take shape and couldn't leave for the time being.

As for the others, they were all burly men with the letter 'm' on their foreheads, each with a cold expression, more like terminators than assassins.

In fact, Qishan's mind was not on the so-called gathering.

A gathering of underworld bosses was not enough to concern Qishan; he was troubled by the matter of Tomie.

With the planes separated, Tomie could be said to be out of his control. If something happened, the DC universe would have to shake three times.

He hoped that when he returned, he wouldn't be greeted by the Superman League.

Just then, Qishan's heart moved, and he opened his eyes to look out the window.

In his sight, a huge bulldozer head at the intersection crashed into the side of the Rolls-Royce.

Bang!

With a loud noise, the extended luxury car was directly thrown out, spinning out of the convoy and crashing into a small three-story building on the corner.

The building, which had already been turned into a dangerous building by the dragon, was directly knocked down by the Rolls-Royce's sweep.

Large pieces of floor slabs fell, directly burying the car.

At the same time, a large number of motorcycles roared and surrounded the convoy, with more than a hundred non-mainstream burly men wearing vests and headscarves, wielding guns and bombarding the convoy.

Various bullets poured out, and the gunshots rang out like popping beans.

In an instant, a common intersection was turned into an Afghan battlefield.

The dense barrage made Qishan's subordinates unable to raise their heads. Sparks kept splashing on the car body, and large areas of bullet holes appeared, bringing out large patches of blood.

As for the glass? It had shattered into pieces at the first moment.

A long-haired white man wearing big leather shoes and no pants ran towards the ruins, carrying a four-barreled rocket launcher on his shoulder, shouting madly with red eyes: “Die, bastard, how dare you kill my brother? Don’t you know who I am? You dare to provoke the biker gang, this is the consequence!”

Swish, swish, swish, swish

He frantically shouted while continuously pulling the trigger.

Four rockets bombarded the rubble pile one after another, causing explosions one after another.

The fire soared into the sky and flew around randomly, hitting the long-haired white man's lower body. His eyeballs almost popped out, he howled and fell backward to the ground, and the rocket launcher was thrown to the side.

Several subordinates rushed over helplessly and rescued this unreliable boss.

On the rooftop of the corner building, two strangely dressed young people looked stunned.

“Uh… Robert!”

“Hmm?”

“Our target seems to have been taken by someone else!”
