American Comics: BOSS Invasion

#206 - The Hulkbuster's early appearance

Boom!

Fire erupted.

The demon's arrogant laughter abruptly ceased, and its arm hung down limply, as if dead, floating in the air.

Iron Man's hand cannon continued to charge, ready to deliver another shot at any moment.

Hulk bared his teeth, itching for a fight.

Iron Man's heart tightened.

"So pathetic, so pathetic! With such weak attack power, how have you managed to survive until now! What reason do you have to live! Die!"

The demon flashed, appearing directly in front of Iron Man, its right hand slamming into his chest, instantly blasting Iron Man away.

Boom!

The ground shook, concrete cracking and flying.

Hulk charged without hesitation, but the demon moved nimbly, directly throwing a punch.

The two fists collided, emitting a loud bang.

Both were sent flying, crashing heavily into the buildings behind them.

Subsequently, a simultaneous explosion erupted within the buildings. Amidst the rolling smoke, two identical Green Giants rushed out, grappling with each other.

The aftershocks of the battle between the two prehistoric beasts were equivalent to two or more professional demolition teams.

After only a few exchanges, the houses along the entire street had been reduced to rubble.

Iron Man flew back, dragging his battered armor, and froze upon seeing the scene.

"How can there be two Hulks? Jarvis!"

"Scanning! Sir, the Hulk on the left matches the database perfectly. The Hulk on the right has a mirrored image."

"Mirrored?" Iron Man's face darkened. "Damn it, what kind of bizarre ability is this!"

Thump!

One Hulk was blasted away, crashing into the buildings, piercing through several walls before finally stopping.

The other Hulk, wearing a strange smile, slowly walked out.

"Confused? Ho ho ho!"

"What did you do?" Iron Man asked.

Roar!

Hulk, having suffered repeated losses, was enraged, his body uncontrollably expanding.

Incredibly, the opposing Hulk also expanded at the same time.

"Duplication! Complete duplication!"

The demon chuckled, "I not only copied its appearance, but also its strength."

"That's impossible!"

Iron Man opened fire directly.

Boom!

The demon flashed, leaping into the air, tearing open its skin with a strange smile, revealing its true form.

But Iron Man noticed that its size was indeed larger than before.

Could it be…

"Looks like you've figured it out! Ho ho ho! This is my ability! Since I'm going to kill everyone in this area anyway, there's no harm in telling you."

The demon leaned forward, its protruding eyes staring intently at Iron Man.

"We demons, at level one, are just useless trash, with nothing but the instinct to kill. But once we reach level two, it's completely different. We not only have self-awareness, but also awaken new powers based on the direction of pain within our souls!"

"Your ability is duplication?" Iron Man asked.

"No, no! It's not that simple!"

The demon said eerily, "My ability is to overwrite anything I touch, turning it into my own! Like this!"

It suddenly extended a hand, a familiar ball of white light emerging from its palm, instantly blasting towards Iron Man.

"Damn it!"

Iron Man was startled and immediately pulled the trigger.

Two energy blasts collided, creating a huge fireball in the air.

"Sir, after detection, it is indeed the same energy blast. The energy generation curve is completely consistent with the arc reactor."

Iron Man breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Is that so? That's terrible news!"

The demon laughed wildly, transforming back into Hulk's form, and leaping towards Iron Man.

Hulk angrily charged forward, intercepting the demon halfway, and the two grappled again.

"Contact Natasha and tell her that Hulk needs her soothing!"

"Okay, sir, connecting! Connection refused! Sir, according to the SHIELD central database, Agent Natasha and Captain America seem to be wanted."

Iron Man paused, then sneered, "Why am I not surprised?"

"Sir! The search and positioning system shows that there is a 60% or higher probability that Agent Natasha is in New Jersey!"

"Fine, I knew I couldn't count on her! Closely monitor their movements, activate the Guardian devices, initiate Protocol Thirty-Nine, and cut off all Stark Industries aid to SHIELD. I don't know what they did, but for being wanted, my teammates will have to pay a price!" Iron Man said coldly.

"Yes, sir!"

"Also, retrieve the recording and activate the calming program!"

As soon as Stark finished speaking, several parts automatically detached from the Iron Legion units responsible for perimeter security and rescue.

They traced an arc in the air, like swallows returning to their nests, quickly latching onto different positions on Hulk's head.

In the blink of an eye, they combined to form a giant helmet.

Hulk was plunged into darkness and went completely berserk. His roars were muffled inside the helmet, and he frantically tore at it with both hands, unable to tear it open even a little.

The demon was stunned.

I've made it so obvious, how can your companion mistake someone?

Don't blame me for being blind!

The demon grinned and punched Hulk away, wanting to strike while the iron was hot and kill this green fatso.

But unexpectedly, a giant device descended from the sky, enclosing it perfectly.

"What…"

Iron Man watched Hulk fly far away, crashing heavily into a cluster of buildings. He raised an eyebrow and silently apologized.

Then he ordered, "Jarvis, activate the Hulkbuster armor!"

"Yes, sir, connecting to Veronica!"

High in the stratosphere, a floating satellite assembly suddenly detached, and a small component ignited its thrusters, diving straight downwards.

At the same time, Natasha's voice suddenly sounded inside Hulk's helmet.

"Hey, big guy, it's okay! The sun's going down! Come home with me… come home with me…"

In the gentle tone, Hulk's struggles weakened, and he gradually reverted to Banner in a daze.

After a while, Banner pulled himself up, clutching his torn pants, and said inexplicably, "What happened again? Wait, why is Stark targeting me?"

Banner looked at the surrounding ruins, remained silent for a few seconds, and then smiled wryly, "Forget it, I'd better go back first!"

On the other side, the demon raged within the steel cage. Possessing Hulk's strength, each punch caused the ground to shake violently.

The aerial components finally arrived, each limb component latching onto Iron Man's armor, forming an even larger figure.

The giant metal hand clenched, and Iron Man's mood lifted.

"What's your name again? Right, Demon! This fight will make you regret copying Hulk's power, I guarantee it!"
