American Comics: BOSS Invasion

#244 - Perona's massive suicide scene

"What?"

The zombies cried out in disbelief, their eyeballs nearly popping out.

In their many years on the Thriller Bark, the animal zombies under Perona had witnessed the effects of her Negative Hollows more than once.

It was a nearly unsolvable attack.

It could ignore defense and directly affect the enemy's soul, fundamentally destroying their morale.

Although the effect was short-lived, it was incredibly effective.

The enemy would almost instantly lose the ability to fight back, collapsing to the ground in self-pity, and for a short time, would not even react to the outside world.

Even their master, Gekko Moria, had no good way to deal with Perona's Negative Hollows.

But what were they seeing now?

Without the opponent making any defensive moves, the Negative Hollows couldn't penetrate his body and instead fell to the ground one after another, as if they had collided with a solid object.

Perona also widened her eyes.

She had never seen this situation before and was momentarily stunned.

Kenpachi Zaraki turned his head, expressionless.

"What is it? A ghost? Or a Hollow?"

He glanced down, and the Negative Hollows began to dissipate as if they couldn't withstand the pressure.

"What's this? So weak!"

Kenpachi looked at Perona and said, "You can create souls? An interesting ability, but too weak. Do you have anything stronger?"

Perona was furious when she heard this, and shouted: "Damn it, how dare you look down on me! No matter what method you have, it's useless in the face of my ability! Special Negative Hollow!"

As she spoke, her soul directly left her body, quickly solidified, and then, as if blowing up a balloon, she blew out a giant, two-meter-diameter circular ghost.

This ghost had a large mouth and lunged directly at Kenpachi the moment it appeared.

"It's so heavy, so heavy! Something is pressing down on me! I can't breathe! Oh, right, I'm a zombie now, I don't need to breathe!"

"Miss Perona, help! Help!"

The zombies suffered an undeserved disaster, crying out in succession.

These zombies existed to fulfill Perona's wishes.

Although their body parts were mismatched, most of them were petite and relatively cute.

The special zombies under Dr. Hogback and the various thug-type zombies under Absalom were very different.

Their combat power was not high to begin with, and they had been startled by the rain in the sky earlier, and now they were trembling under the spiritual pressure.

Today was truly a day of misfortune!

They wanted to ask Perona for help, but when they looked up, they found that Perona's soul body was also lying on the ground.

Her state was extremely miserable, even worse than them.

They were immediately filled with black lines and didn't know what to do.

Perona was also extremely unlucky.

She hadn't felt anything when she was in her physical body facing Kenpachi, but as soon as she transformed into a spirit body, she immediately noticed the invisible pressure.

She was pressed against the floor before she could even say a word.

The powerful pressure stacked upon itself, seemingly without end.

Perona felt as if she had been stuffed into a hydraulic press and was being crushed little by little.

She couldn't even speak, let alone move.

And that giant Negative Hollow was even more miserable.

It exploded the moment it attacked Kenpachi.

Like a balloon that had been suddenly punctured, it had no explosive power whatsoever.

Throughout the entire attack, Kenpachi hadn't moved an inch.

The enemy had defeated themselves.

Wasn't the Hollow-Hollow Fruit strong? Wasn't Perona powerful?

Her Negative Hollows even made Luffy want to be reborn as a clam in the next life.

But in the face of Kenpachi, she had no power to resist.

Because she had lost so completely and decisively, Perona was still bewildered when she fell to the ground.

She didn't even understand what had happened.

And as time passed and she gradually regained consciousness, she was unable to speak.

Despite enjoying scaring people, Ghost Princess was actually a coward.

When fighting Usopp, she was defeated by toy cockroaches and balloon hammers.

At this moment, she couldn't help but let her imagination run wild.

In that instant, her mind was automatically replaying her life in a revolving lantern.

She was scaring herself, and because she was about to be killed, tears couldn't help but flow down her face.

She wanted to open her mouth and beg for mercy, but her body was restrained by the spiritual pressure.

This feeling only deepened her despair.

In a cycle of repetition, she actually scared herself unconscious, and her soul body turned pale.

Unexpectedly, after she lost consciousness, the Hollow-Hollow Fruit took effect and pulled her soul back into her body!

The entire battle process, from beginning to end, took only about a minute.

Kenpachi hadn't even moved, and the enemy had defeated themselves.

"What's this? It's fallen to this level? How boring. You made me look forward to something for nothing."

Kenpachi turned around without hesitation, smashed through a wall, and disappeared from the zombies' sight.

The zombies remained lying on the ground, not daring to move.

They were afraid that the grotesque strongman would return and clean them all up.

Although they had become zombies, their biological instinct for survival was still there.

In the face of a strong enemy, they still had to play dead.

As Kenpachi gradually moved away, the spiritual pressure covering them weakened layer by layer, until it disappeared completely.

The mansion was silent, with only the sound of heavy rain pattering outside.

The scene was one of corpses scattered all over the ground.

If an unsuspecting person rushed in, they might think it was the scene of a large-scale massacre.

After an unknown amount of time, a small rabbit with a pig's head crawled up, cautiously observed the environment, and then whispered: "Guys, that guy is far away now.

Get up quickly, Lady Perona needs help!"

One by one, the zombies crawled up, gathered around Perona, and carried her to the depths of the mansion.

"That guy was too terrifying! He went in the direction of Master's room! Should we report it to Master?"

"Do you want to die? It's raining heavily outside now, going out is like suicide.

If you want to report it, go yourself, don't drag others along!"

"Okay, you have a point, Lady Perona is more important!"

"That's right, we are Lady Perona's subordinates, so we must take care of her first."

Several leading zombies quickly discussed an excuse and retreated with peace of mind.
