Batman's Owl Godfather
Chapter 34 You will come to my office every day from now on
The auditorium suddenly became chaotic.
Professor Dumbledore had to make the tip of his wand explode with purple fireworks several times before everyone fell silent.
"Prefect," he said in a low voice, "lead the students from each college to the dormitories immediately!"
Truman, Hufflepuff's prefect, stood up immediately: "Everyone, follow me! Don't get separated, don't panic!"
Bruce didn't have any unique ideas. He followed Truman. He had already wanted to leave the auditorium. All the bats were flying above his head, which was unlucky.
Before leaving, he also packed some food to bring to Hermione later.
"Why did the troll appear at Hogwarts?"
Bruce couldn't help but start to think about it. He first looked at Dumbledore, and then shook his head in his heart.
It's unlikely that it was the principal.
but--
"No!" Bruce suddenly realized, "Hermione doesn't know about the trolls yet!"
Hermione didn't come to the hall. If she were alone in Hogwarts, she would probably run into a troll.
Bruce almost didn't hesitate, and immediately wanted to break away from the large group and go find Hermione.
However, just when he turned around and wanted to escape, a calm voice suddenly stopped him.
"Bruce."
Looking back, Dumbledore was standing quietly in the distance, smiling and waving to him.
Bruce didn't understand what was going on, so he could only go there first.
"Mr. Principal." Bruce came to Dumbledore's side, "What's the matter?"
"Bruce, come with me."
Dumbledore kept his composure and walked forward, motioning for Bruce to follow.
Bruce was reluctant.
He was worried about Hermione now and had no intention of staying with Dumbledore.
"What's wrong, Bruce?"
Dumbledore saw that Bruce was not following, so he stopped and turned around, his half-moon lenses shining faintly.
"Do you have anything else to do?"
"Yes." Bruce nodded simply, "Hermione from Gryffindor House didn't come to the hall just now, so she probably doesn't know about the trolls until now."
"So you just wanted to leave the team because you were worried about Miss Granger?"
Suddenly, Dumbledore said something shocking.
He just saw it all.
I saw Bruce trying to slip away alone when the crowd was in chaos, without knowing the purpose.
But no matter what the reason is, it is always unsafe for a little wizard to run around in this situation.
But these words caused Bruce a great sense of insecurity.
What's the meaning?
It was true that he wanted to leave the team, but as soon as he made a move, Dumbledore immediately noticed something unusual.
It's just too fast.
Bruce didn't believe that Dumbledore had great hands and eyes and always paid attention to every student.
The only explanation is that the dead old man has been staring at him.
Bruce concluded that Dumbledore must have something on his mind.
Otherwise, why would you target yourself, a harmless first-year student?
"Katum." Bruce could only ask the owl, "I'm afraid I won't be able to get away for a while. Please help me find Hermione."
"There's no need." Katum said drowsily.
The owl never spoke just now because this lazy guy kept sleeping on Bruce's shoulder.
Katum was half asleep and said vaguely: "Hermione will be fine, at most she will be a little scared."
He knows the plot. This is a bonding incident between the three protagonists. There is nothing to worry about.
But Dumbledore on the other side felt a little strange because Bruce had never responded: "Bruce, what's the problem?"
"Oh, no, Mr. Principal, I was just worried about Hermione."
Bruce wasn't lying, but since the owl said it was fine, Hermione should really be fine.
"If you're really worried, we can go find Miss Granger together."
Dumbledore showed a kind smile, "It is also my dereliction of duty as the principal to let a student be in danger."
Speaking of which, Bruce had no reason to refuse.
"Okay then, Principal."
Bruce followed Dumbledore's lead.
There was no expression on his face, and he kept wondering why Dumbledore insisted on going with him.
Then the more I thought about it, the more I felt that Dumbledore was not a good person.
…
Bruce followed Dumbledore and searched all over the study room, but saw no trace of Hermione.
But neither of them looked anxious.
Bruce was assured by Katum that Hermione would be fine.
Dumbledore, on the other hand, always looked calm and in control.
After searching everywhere but not finding Hermione, he suddenly said: "Bruce, I suddenly remembered a past incident."
Bruce said, "What is it, Principal?"
"That was probably fifty years ago."
Dumbledore looked reminiscing, "One year, Hogwarts also encountered such an incident. A monster appeared in Hogwarts and killed a female student."
Bruce tensed up, not understanding why Dumbledore would mention such past events.
Is he threatening himself?
Fifty years ago, Dumbledore could kill a female student, and fifty years later, he could easily kill a male student!
Dumbledore continued: "As for the murderer of that incident, I roughly guessed who it was at the time. He was a student at Hogwarts.
"I gave him a chance to confess to me, but he didn't say anything.
"After that student graduated, he turned the entire magical world upside down. I have always regretted this. If I had taken action earlier, many things might not have happened."
After saying that, he lowered his head and looked at Bruce with an elusive look.
"What do you think a person would do when they encounter the same problem after making a wrong decision?"
"I don't know, Principal."
Bruce was extremely tense at this time. If Dumbledore dared to make any inappropriate move, he would immediately throw the owl on his shoulder into the old man's face, then turn around and run away.
He can't defeat Dumbledore now, but that doesn't mean he has to sit back and wait for death.
There was a hint of complexity in Dumbledore's eyes.
"Actually, I don't know either." Dumbledore sighed, "Children have an unlimited future, so we can't jump to conclusions casually."
After saying that, he raised his head and seemed to have made some important decision.
"Bruce, actually I noticed your talent a long time ago, and the teachers all spoke highly of you."
Dumbledore said softly, "I can't pretend I haven't seen such a good talent like you. Are you willing to come to my office every day from now on and learn something from me?"
Hearing this, the owl boy on Bruce's shoulder perked up.
If he heard correctly, Dumbledore said that he wanted to accept Bruce as a closed disciple?
