Cardcaptor at Hogwarts

Chapter 26 Quidditch Culture of Each House

To Bernard's disappointment, the Black Lake was frozen enough for skating until November, and nothing strange came into Hogwarts.

"Eugene, Bernard is fine, why are you so disappointed?"

It was rare for the five of them to have lunch together in the auditorium. Cologne looked at Eugene beside him in disbelief. He actually said "what a pity" after Bernard's complaint just now!

"The troll must have been brought into Hogwarts by someone. That person must have some purpose for doing so. Since he hasn't made any other noise for so long, either he has achieved his goal or he is still planning in secret."

Uther cut a piece of sausage and put it in his mouth.

Eugene nodded in agreement.

"Hmm..."

Cologne scratched his head, knowing that his roommates were right in their analysis, but...

"It is also possible that he has been solved by Professor Dumbledore? After all, he is the greatest wizard of this century!"

"...That's right. If Professor Dumbledore solves the problem, he probably won't tell us."

Uther nodded.

"What do you think, Adam?"

Eugene looked at Adam.

"Me?"

Adam raised his eyebrows. If Eugene agreed with Uther, he wouldn't ask him this. Did he find something?

"I think it's not over yet... Of course, I'm just guessing."

"I think so too... It's an inexplicable feeling."

Eugene talked a little more after getting familiar with them, but he rarely expressed his feelings like this. For a while, the others were silent.

"...Oh, no matter what, Professor Dumbledore will always solve all problems, right? Let's think about something to be happy about, such as the Quidditch game that will start tomorrow!"

Cologne broke the silence:

"Has everyone heard about it? Gryffindor's seeker this year is actually a freshman, and it's the savior Harry Potter!"

"Gryffindor vs. Slytherin... To be honest, I don't think this game is that exciting."

Uther swiftly changed the subject:

"Hannah and the others said that Slytherin always likes to play tricks during the game and will do whatever it takes to win. Even if Harry Potter is powerful, he may not win - unless he can catch the Golden Snitch at the beginning."

Although he said so, everyone still gathered honestly in the stands of the Quidditch stadium the next day.

"This is the first time I've watched Quidditch from this angle!"

It was a bit noisy around, and Bernard had to raise his voice.

"In fact, we are too."

Cologne leaned on the guardrail and looked very excited:

"Look, they are entering the field!"

Adam looked down, the distance was too far, and he could only see

The shortest one among the reds should be Harry.

They met once when they entered school, but they didn't have much contact afterwards. After all, the only classes that Gryffindor and Hufflepuff had together were astronomy and history of magic, and Adam himself kept a certain distance from them.

Accompanied by a sharp whistle, it was Madam Hooch's silver whistle, and the two teams climbed to a high altitude almost at the same time.

"Wow~"

The exclamations rang out in unison in the stands, almost all of them were freshmen who saw the formal Quidditch game for the first time.

The Quaffle was fiercely fought back and forth in the hands of the two teams' chasers, the goalkeeper was always alert to the three goals not being broken by the opponent, the beater protected his teammates from the harassment of the bludger, and the seeker...

The two seekers were wandering around the edge, because the golden snitch was still nowhere to be seen.

"Despicable!"

Cologne excitedly slapped the guardrail - in fact, he was not the only one who did so - because the Slytherin Beater hit the Bludger at a Gryffindor Chaser, almost knocking him off his broom.

"Isn't that a foul?"

Bernard's eyes widened. Such behavior was simply unimaginable in the Muggle world.

"Of course not, it's within the rules. After all, no one can guarantee that the ball they hit will not hit something inexplicably."

"Well, there is some truth in what you said..."

However, the situation on the field changed quickly. The previous ball seemed to be a signal. The Slytherin Quidditch team quickly showed flexible moral qualities and jumped back and forth on the edge of a foul.

Mrs. Hoch's silver whistle blew again and again, but it only made the Slytherin team more hidden and difficult to determine when they committed a foul, and did not awaken their competitive spirit at all.

Even Adam couldn't help but complain:

"These guys should replace the snake flag with the flag of the stolen country, so shameless!"

"The rules of Quidditch are like this, there are too many ambiguous areas for those who are interested to play."

Adam and his friends were at the guardrail. As the game progressed, more and more students squeezed over. It was Cedric who spoke just now.

He looked at the chaotic scene on the field and sighed:

"This is why Hufflepuff always has a hard time winning... We always put the fun of Quidditch first, but it seems that we are the only ones who think so."

If the Hufflepuff team was really so utilitarian, Cedric would not have not yet entered the Hufflepuff team with his strength.

The Hufflepuff team will not kick out any player in order to win.

The Ravenclaw team is special. They have a desire to win but will not let training interfere with their personal lives. Therefore, the gap between the upper and lower limits of the team's combat power is huge, and they compete with Hufflepuff for the third and fourth places all year round.

As for the Slytherin team, whose playing style is similar to that of a certain thief...

"Look at the field!"

Cologne's exclamation made everyone look over, and they saw Harry struggling to control the out-of-control broom - his broom suddenly began to shake up and down in the air, rolling and tumbling.

"What's going on? Harry Potter's broom was broken?"

Cologne touched his chin and analyzed:

"I heard that the flying brooms in the school are indeed very old styles..."

"The old styles are the brooms for flying classes, and the ones used in the competition are reliable ones with guaranteed quality. Usually only curses can interfere with their operation."

Cedric's expression was very solemn:

"But curses? How dare Slytherin--"

Obviously, the most outrageous thing Slytherin did last year was to hit people directly. In a few years, they will not throw spells at each other directly in the sky, right?

"I remember that the curse can only be launched by staring at the target and chanting the spell? Let's find out who it is!"

Cologne waved his fist.

However, the group of people looked around but didn't see the person who cast the spell. Every Slytherin on the field didn't meet the requirements.

"It seems that the worst situation has happened - the one who cast the spell is someone in the stands!"

But how can they find that person among so many people in the stands?

Or, when the Hufflepuff team encounters this situation, how should they deal with it?

"Maybe it's worse-"

Eugene suddenly spoke, squinting his eyes and staring at Harry who was still rising in the air:

"Maybe the person who cast the spell is not to help Slytherin... He just wants to hurt people."

Uther was stunned and remembered what Eugene said yesterday:

"You mean... the person who brought the troll into Hogwarts?"

Eugene nodded.
