#633 - Make trouble!
The illusion disappeared before Li'er's eyes, replaced by the reality of the cave.
Lilith stood before her, smiling gently and kindly.
"It seems you remember," she said, as a tentacle descended from above, its tip curled around a strange fruit.
"Your body is not well, sister. I apologize for performing a simple scan without your permission. I see that you are burning a bit too intensely. This is an early sign of nuclear energy depletion, but your situation is odd. Not only is the burn rate low, but the consumption of life force is excessive."
"I've also detected some functional drug residue in your system. Have you been using activation agents? This will come at a great cost."
"What are you talking about?" Li'er's eyes narrowed as she glanced at the fruit before her. "And what is this?"
"I'm saying, you can't continue like this, sister," Lilith sighed, her smile fading. "Although I'm not sure why you're using such inferior, structurally unoptimized drugs, you'll suffer greatly if you continue. They can get you to the mid-stage of nuclear energy, but you won't be able to evolve further due to damaged potential. Of course, that wouldn't matter to the you of the past, but with your current body..."
Lilith didn't finish, but moved the fruit on her tentacle closer to Li'er. Only then did Li'er realize that the fruit was not a plant fruit in the usual sense, but a strange collection of biological tissue and plant fibers. Countless capillaries flowed with an unknown liquid.
"Eat it. This is a cell reconstruction spore I recently condensed. It will give you more energy and rebuild cell tissue activity. This is very important for your current body."
Cell reconstruction spore?
Li'er suspiciously took the fruit from the tentacle, examining it closely.
To be honest, she felt very close to Lilith at the moment, but that didn't mean she trusted Lilith completely. It was like a reunion of twins who had never met. Even if the same blood flowed through their veins, could they entrust everything to each other at first sight? The idea of not seeing each other for tens of thousands of years and then immediately sharing life and death... seriously? You've read too many science fiction novels, haven't you?
The mysterious spore rotated in Li'er's fingertips, like an ugly tumor. In fact, Crodir's products were not very aesthetically pleasing, but no one could deny that they were the most cutting-edge biological crystals in the universe, even without seeing them. Li'er could feel the surging life force within the spore.
This was actually a collection of cells containing life force?
Li'er's heart immediately grew heavy. Life force was the most precious thing in the universe. Theoretically, it even transcended the physical body. As long as there was enough life force, even if a person was reduced to pieces of flesh, they could recover in a very short time. But once lost, even the strongest warrior could die without warning.
This was life force! The foundation of all existence, all life!
How many substances in the universe could replenish life force? Li'er didn't know, but she was sure it was very, very rare.
Li'er felt a moment of dizziness, but then gritted her teeth and looked up at Lilith.
"What, you want to give it to me? Don't tell me you don't know how precious it is. If what you say is true, then billions of civilizations in the universe would pursue it, even at any cost."
"Give me a reason."
"Reason?" Lilith was taken aback, then smiled.
Her smile was very strange, as if she had heard the most absurd thing in the universe. After a while, she whispered, "Where's the need for a reason? Sister, we are one... You and I come from the same source, possess the same soul. We originate from darkness, inherit darkness, and bear the same mission."
"Unfortunately, you have forgotten too much. But it doesn't matter. As time passes, these memories will return to you."
Lilith didn't continue, but silently watched Li'er, softly saying, "Whatever it is, my dearest sister, what you need most now is to recover. I don't know what you've been through, but your current condition is terrible. You need my help."
"Help?" Li'er looked at Lilith questioningly for a moment, then turned her gaze to the spore in her hand.
The next moment, she raised her finger and swallowed the spore.
Li'er certainly didn't completely trust Lilith, so when she swallowed the spore, she had already mobilized all the energy in her body to form a protective layer around the spore. If the spore posed a threat to her, she would not hesitate to expel it from her body.
This was a very mysterious process, impossible for ordinary people to even imagine, let alone achieve. But for Li'er, it was perfectly normal, because she was the Queen of the Mutants, and her control over her body had long surpassed the limits of ordinary people's imagination. She had supreme authority over every inch of her bones, every tendon, and even every organ in her body. And while this sounded simple, it was actually almost impossible.
Because for most people, heartbeat, breathing, blood flow, nervous system transmission, etc., were all part of the life's self-operation. No one would care, and only those who truly embarked on the path of evolution would pay attention to these. It was like the daily sunrise and sunset. Most people would consider it a normal natural phenomenon, but who would consider the meaning hidden within it?
Li'er swallowed the spore, and then she felt a heat surge from her chest. The spore had completely disintegrated as soon as it entered the esophagus, turning into a ball of scalding life energy.
All her organs and cells showed unprecedented vitality under this life energy. The damage she had suffered from Pluto's Nail was quickly repaired.
"This... this is..."
Li'er moved her body in surprise, but found that her body was unprecedentedly relaxed. Surging energy flowed through her body, and she had returned to her peak state. One by one, insights belonging only to the planetary level flashed through her mind, and Li'er felt that she could enter that powerful realm at any time.
She had unknowingly broken through the boundaries of the meteor level and touched the edge of the planetary level.
Closing her eyes, Li'er took a deep breath, and when she looked at Lilith opposite her again, her eyes were much softer.
"You didn't lie to me."
She said, gently raising her right hand and placing it on Lilith's ugly 'body'. The thick veins pulsed under her fingers, with mysterious body fluids flowing through them.
"Lilith, is that your name? I'm glad to meet you. But unfortunately, I can't call you sister yet."
Li'er raised her head and looked directly into Lilith's eyes.
"Because, I'm going to take you... take everything here!"
With a swipe of her finger, the thick vein was instantly severed, and energy liquid spurted out.
Immediately afterward, Li'er's body jumped above Lilith, and in an instant, she cut off all the veins connecting Lilith! With a loud bang, the huge tumor body surrounding Lilith suddenly fell from the air, stirring up a large cloud of dust.
Li'er's figure appeared in front of Lilith, and her fingers gently stroked Lilith's beautiful face.
"I'm sorry..."
Li'er whispered, her right hand forming a knife with her fingers, and plunged it into Lilith's heart.
