Colonial Suit

#634 - Will the villain have the word "bad guy" written on his face?

The finger mercilessly pierced Lilith's chest. Blood spurted out, drawing a long red line in the air.

But strangely, Lilith showed no sign of pain. She continued to gaze tenderly at Lier.

"Sister..."

"You!?" Lier's face changed, because she felt that Lilith's chest was completely empty!! Not even the heart, or the most basic organs existed; there were only intricate energy meridians and countless strange tumors.

How could this be!?

Lier's heart skipped a beat, but her movements were as fast as lightning. Her right hand contracted and waved again, as if a blade had swept across Lilith's neck. With a flash of red light, a faint red line appeared on Lilith's neck, so striking against her fair skin.

There was no blood, because the high temperature had cauterized the blood vessels. Lier's attack was extremely ruthless; if it were an ordinary person, even wearing armor, they would have been cut in two.

But surprisingly, Lilith not only wasn't decapitated, but instead revealed a faint smile.

"Don't bother, my dear sister."

She said this, and the red line on her neck gradually disappeared. At the same time, the ultra-huge tumor carrying her actually flew up into the air, suspended in the center of the hall without any support. Powerful energy fluctuations emanated from inside the tumor, even causing energy tides to ripple around it.

Caught off guard, Lier was immediately repelled.

"Here, I cannot be killed," Lilith said slowly in the distorted energy fluctuations. "The great Sage Renos has granted me eternal life. As long as I don't leave this hall, I will be connected to the entire ruin. My life is the life of the ruin; unless you can destroy this planet with one blow, you will never be able to harm me."

As she spoke, Lilith lightly parted her red lips and let out a soft sigh.

"But what I find strange is, why, dear sister, why do you have to do this?"

"Why?" A sneer suddenly appeared on Lier's face in the hall. The next moment, she reached out and grabbed into the void.

Strangely enough, the void, which was clearly empty, suddenly twisted with Lier's grasp, revealing a thick tentacle. The tentacle was covered in dense scales and countless bone spurs, clearly a killing weapon. Its sharpness could easily pierce through a heavy armored tower shield. And what was most chilling was that it was invisible; even the sensory perception of an ordinary warrior couldn't capture its existence.

This tentacle was originally behind Lier, preparing to stab her. Suddenly, it was grabbed by Lier and began to writhe violently. Countless bone spurs emitted a strange, eerie blue light, actually causing Lier's fingers to show signs of melting.

Lier waved her right hand and slammed the tentacle hard into the surrounding wall. Then, a horrifying thing happened: that section of the wall withered at a visible rate, all biological tissues, cells, tendons, and even energy conduits began to melt, turning into a strange solution, which was then absorbed by the tentacle.

The tentacle writhed violently, like a giant straw, sucking in the melted solution. A sour and foul odor filled the air.

"Oh!" Lilith cried out softly. "What a terrifying thing. Where did it come from?"

"You should be the one answering that question," Lier said with a sneer. She flicked her fingers, and a ball of flames instantly enveloped her right hand. When the flames disappeared, her right hand had returned to normal.

"Affection, warmth, calling, ancient bloodline," Lier stared intently at Lilith and said softly. "You played your part very well, Lilith. Perhaps we come from the same place and share the same bloodline. But you're wrong if you think I'd believe you so easily. The cruelty of the apocalypse has taught me how to distinguish between truth and falsehood. I never believed you from the start. The only thing I was curious about was why you would give me that thing."

"That thing, are you talking about the cell reconstruction spore?" Lilith put a finger in her mouth in an adorable manner, a naive smile on her face.

She thought for a moment, then said with a grin, "Because, you were too weak just now... Even if I absorbed you, I would only gain a very, very small portion. I want a stronger you, because only then can I truly return to my most complete form."

"Complete form?" Lier's heart skipped a beat, and she repeated involuntarily.

"Of course, it's the state we were in when we first escaped from the abyss..." Lilith no longer showed any tenderness at this point. Her expression became somewhat playful and cute. If you only looked at her appearance, you would definitely think she was so innocent. But as she spoke, dozens of huge bone spur tentacles appeared in the cave above, surrounding Lier from all directions.

Lilith said with a smile, "It's all thanks to the great Sage Revolver, who, in order to control us, split us in two. You took away most of the power, while I took away the complete calculation ability. What's most annoying is that, due to time constraints, he couldn't manifest both of us at the same time. He could only modulate you into the body of the War Matriarch separately, while I was taken away by the great Sage Renos."

"The great Sage Renos is a great man, but even he couldn't prepare a perfect body for me in a short amount of time, especially since he also had to awaken our King. So I could only be placed in this ruin, waiting for the King's arrival."

"King?" Lier frowned slightly. A strange feeling surged in her heart, as if this name had an incomparably close relationship with her, so familiar, so warm.

"Of course, we are all the King's companions. We have been since the abyss. The King bears the mission of changing the universe, and we are his assistants," Lilith replied, ending with a soft laugh.

"Poor sister, it seems you have lost too many memories, even forgetting the King's identity. But that's not important anymore. The King is destined to destroy this universe, and I will dedicate all my power to him."

"This is fate, our only reason for existence."

"Stop dreaming," Lier shouted, and flames blazed in her hands. "I am Lier, not your so-called Maria, nor your sister. If you want to devour me, then give me your life!"

"Tsk tsk... Sister, why can't you understand?" Lilith shook her head repeatedly, a mocking smile on her face. "Actually, from the moment you heard my call, fate was already sealed. You will come here, and I will merge with you. Although, due to the long passage of time, the energy this ruin provides me has been decreasing, haven't you also lost most of your power? This is the best time for us to merge."

"Otherwise, we will both disappear..."

"What!?" Lier was shocked, but before she could speak, the surrounding bone spur tentacles stabbed at her simultaneously...

With a muffled sound, Lier was accurately struck in the back of the heart by a bone spur. (To be continued.)
