Dragon and Tiger Taoist

Chapter 1942 Perfection

In the Western Wilderness, the Buddha's light soared into the sky, stirring up the winds and clouds in all directions. There was a Bodhi tree that grew to its fullest, covering the sky. There was a Buddha sitting under the tree, awakening to the Tathagata. His hands were holding the Dharma seal, his golden body was shining, and his appearance was solemn. Seeing him was like seeing the Buddha.

Seeing such a scene, everyone in the Leiyin Hall was in an uproar.

The Buddhist sect focuses on the mind. There is a saying that there is a sudden enlightenment in one day. Once the mind is achieved, the practice will naturally advance by leaps and bounds. But this is a process after all, whether it is the previous cultivation of immortals by borrowing demons or the current cultivation of immortals by practicing qi.

Becoming a Buddha on the spot is ultimately just a description. The Buddha here refers to the understanding of the Dharma by living beings, not a real step to heaven and becoming a Buddha. But today, a being that breaks the common sense appeared. He realized the truth under the Bodhi tree for seven days. When he was awakened, his merits and deeds were complete. The Tathagata's golden body was formed by himself and he became a Buddha on the spot.

"What should we do next?"

In the Leiyin Hall, on the lotus platform, looking at the little monk under the Bodhi tree, the Arhats and Bodhisattvas found it difficult to sit still. This change came too suddenly, making them feel a little uncomfortable.

No one looked down on Bai Chan, the Buddha's son. After all, the other party was almost destined to be one of them, or even stronger than them, but that was all in the future. At this time, they were still the pioneers. According to the original plan, they would still pass on the Dharma to Bai Chan, but now everything has changed.

Thinking of this, everyone could not help but cast their eyes on Yishi. Among all the gods and Buddhas in the hall, only this Buddha could be compared with the little monk. Only these two were the real Buddhas. Even the two of them had achieved the Tathagata's golden body, but the Tathagata's golden body of the Buddha had changed from the original one and turned into the golden body of the Great Sun Tathagata.

Feeling the gazes of the crowd, Yishi looked at Bai Chan, and his gaze was also a little complicated.

"After reincarnation for hundreds of lifetimes, one will eventually achieve the right result. With such perseverance and understanding, one should be a Buddha, Amitabha."

While chanting the Buddha's name, Yishi saw through some of Baichan's steps. The most important thing for Baichan to become a Buddha right away is a Buddha's heart. He has realized the essence of Buddha and tempered his own mind to an extreme, which can be called great awakening, and he can become a Tathagata in the future.

Secondly, he has penetrated the reincarnation with merits, gathered the accumulation of hundreds of lifetimes into one body, and with the blessing of the Buddhist luck, he ascended to heaven in one step and became a Buddha right away.

Thinking of this, Yishi's heart was rarely calm. Compared with the people in this hall, the one under the Bodhi tree was more like a real Buddha.

And at this time, the change happened again. In the sky, a door quietly appeared. It seemed to be made of gold and jade, engraved with swastikas, sacred and majestic.

Om, the door opened a little, and the purest light poured into the world.

At this moment, looking up at the slowly opening door, all the spirits instinctively felt a desire in their hearts. Outside the door was the world of mortals and all living beings, while inside the door was the Paradise, the pure land of the world.

"The Paradise has appeared. Is this to lead this Buddha back to his position?"

Looking into the void, the Arhats and Bodhisattvas had a sudden enlightenment.

Bathed in the light of the sky, Bai Chan became more and more extraordinary. The Buddha's light paved a ladder in front of him, reaching the sky. As long as he stepped on it, he could reach the Paradise that was beyond the world.

Seeing this scene, and then looking at Bai Chan, everyone in the Leiyin Hall couldn't help but feel envious.

Buddhism has opened the Paradise, where all the Buddhas can live. But in fact, except for those ancient Buddhas, the rest of the Bodhisattvas and Arhats have places in the Paradise, but they cannot stay there physically. Only the spirit can enter it. Only when the merits and deeds are perfect and the right awakening is achieved, can the Paradise be led in the future, escape from the mundane world, enter the Paradise, and be free.

But Bai Chan is different from them. He was still a mortal the moment before, but once he is enlightened, he will become a Buddha on the spot and can enter the Paradise directly.

At the same time, in the envious eyes of everyone, Bai Chan also opened his eyes, his eyes were deep, as if containing the vortex of reincarnation.

Looking up and looking at the door above the sky, Bai Chan saw a real pure land.

"It turns out that the Pure Land of Paradise really exists."

Staring into the void, Bai Chan saw the voice of all the Buddhas. They sat on the lotus platform, all looking at him with a smile, as if waiting for his return. He even clearly sensed that there was a lotus platform calling him, as long as he wanted, he could sit on it.

"Although the Pure Land is good, my wish has not been fulfilled. Why should I sit on the lotus platform?"

With a thought of silence, Bai Chan retracted his gaze, and as if sensing Bai Chan's intention, the ladder paved by the Buddha's light began to collapse, and the manifested paradise began to slowly disappear.

Seeing such a scene, everyone was stunned. Those who did not know the inside story felt sorry for Bai Chan and thought that he had missed the opportunity, while those who knew the inside story did not understand Bai Chan's choice. After all, ascending to the paradise can be said to be the pursuit of every Buddhist monk.

Only Yishi, as the Buddha of Buddhism, was thinking about it. He and Bai Chan were also qualified to ascend to the paradise.

"Let's go, come with me to welcome this kind of ancient Buddha."

A low voice sounded, and his body turned into rainbow light. Yishi was the first to leave the Leiyin Hall.

Seeing this, the Arhats and Bodhisattvas hurriedly followed. They could sit before, but now they had to walk out. At this moment, all the Buddhas came to the world.

"Please teach me the Buddha's teachings!"

Looking at the Buddha's high-ranking monks who had manifested themselves, Bai Chan put his hands together and bowed. He regarded himself as a Buddha, and all living beings as Buddhas.

At this time, he restrained all his supernatural powers, without any Buddha's temperament, and seemed like an ordinary monk, but in the end, he was just an ordinary monk. As he became a Buddha on the spot, everything was different.

Looking at Bai Chan like this, the Arhats and Bodhisattvas were somewhat at a loss as to what to do. Once he was enlightened, he became a Buddha on the spot. In terms of the attainments of Buddhism, there were probably few people in the entire Buddhist sect who could surpass Bai Chan. How could these Arhats and Bodhisattvas be qualified to teach such a person?

In fact, the only one who was qualified to teach Bai Chan was the Buddha who had attained Taiyi. It was a pity that the Buddha had completely fallen silent after attaining enlightenment and could not be contacted at all.

You looked at me, I looked at you, and the atmosphere suddenly fell silent. Finally, Yishi spoke and broke the deadlock.

"I have a volume of the Heart Sutra of Prajnaparamita, which is the truth I realized from my meditation on the Buddhist Dharma, so I will pass it on to you."

The divine light condensed, and a volume of scriptures appeared in Yishi's hands, which was delivered to Bai Chan.

Seeing this, the Arhats and Bodhisattvas all had enlightenment.

"I have a volume of the Diamond Sutra."

"I have a volume of the Thousand-armed Thousand-eyed Great Compassion Mantra."

The divine light shone, and little by little, a small mountain of scriptures appeared in front of Bai Chan in just a moment. The roots of these scriptures are all Buddhist scriptures, not involving supernatural powers, not involving practice, but pure principles, and the interpretation of these Buddhist scriptures by these bodhisattvas and arhats themselves.

Seeing this, Bai Chan was overjoyed.

"You have already achieved the Buddhahood, do you want to enter this Leiyin Temple? After entering the temple, you can practice all kinds of supernatural powers and wonderful methods of Buddhism."

Looking at Bai Chan who was happy from the bottom of his heart, Yishi spoke.

Hearing this, Bai Chan shook his head.

"I went west to obtain the scriptures in order to save all living beings and guide all spirits to goodness. Now that the true scriptures have been obtained, I will come from where I came from and go back to where I came from, promote Buddhism, and preach the true scriptures of Buddhism."

The words were full of determination, and Bai Chan gave up the opportunity to enter the Leiyin Temple.

After getting such an answer and looking at Bai Chan like this, Yishi was not too surprised.

"That's good."

With a thought, Yishi decided the Bodhisattva status for Shihou and others, and gave each of them a Buddhist inheritance, and then sent them out of Leiyin Temple together. From then on, the journey to the west was considered complete.

And watching Shanyuan and his group leaving, a word of goodness fell quietly in the dark.
