From Flower Vase to Film Emperor in Hollywood

#188 - Cooperate with the performance

Edgar was racking his brains, trying his best to create opportunities for Anson within his capabilities.

Although they still hadn't signed a contract, Edgar believed this was his chance and he should seize it. So, Edgar's brain was working at high speed, wondering if William Morris had any suitable public relations resources that could be fully utilized. Then, he saw the Bentley.

The golden sunlight slowly outlined the dark black Bentley's body lines, with a low-key luxury in its antique atmosphere. At a glance, it didn't seem ostentatious, at least not as eye-catching as those luxury sports cars, but the afterglow of his vision couldn't help but be attracted by that calm and noble bearing.

Its appearance seemed to slow down the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles International Airport, and even time seemed to pause briefly.

Bentley?

Edgar didn't think much about it. Although Bentley wasn't that popular in Los Angeles, it wasn't unusual to see one occasionally.

However, the driver getting out of the car easily grabbed attention—

Golden short hair, the sunlight roaring down like a waterfall along the straight strands. A bright red bandage dress perfectly outlined her graceful figure, and a pair of six-centimeter stiletto heels with black tops and red soles accentuated the perfect lines from her instep all the way up her calves.

Sexy and wild.

Someone whistled in the distance, eyes boldly and presumptuously sizing up the beauty.

The woman wasn't shy. Instead, she looked in the direction of the whistle, slightly pulled down her sunglasses along the bridge of her nose, and boldly and presumptuously sized him up in return.

Then, she revealed a disdainful smile and bluntly replied loudly, "You're not my type."

Ha!

The man's friends burst into laughter, and even the onlookers couldn't help but smile.

The woman didn't care. She calmly retracted her gaze, scanned her surroundings, and naturally noticed Anson. His height, build, and temperament allowed him to easily stand out even in the vast crowd. She took off her sunglasses and carefully sized him up again, without any concealment.

Generous, candid, with a sense of objective appreciation.

Such a gaze wouldn't make people feel offended, but rather allow them to feel an equal exchange.

After sizing him up, the woman raised her right hand holding the sunglasses and waved, "Hey!"

Edgar: ? ? ?

Was that woman signaling to Anson? Could she be Anson's girlfriend?

Edgar tilted his head, not out of surprise or anything. Aside from the fact that the woman in front of him looked like she was already thirty years old, the main point was that he had no idea Anson was dating.

But he wasn't Anson's manager yet, so Anson didn't necessarily need to tell him.

So, would Anson having a date affect the "Spider-Man" audition? Or was it just insignificant news?

In that brief moment, thoughts surged in his mind. Then, Edgar saw the woman walk around the front of the car, approaching on her high heels.

"Anson?"

This was a question.

"Anson Wood?"

She asked while extending her hand.

"Eve Wilson, 42West. Darren should have mentioned it to you, right?"

42West?

Edgar immediately reacted. A public relations company?

Currently, Hollywood has four top public relations companies, which do not include 42West. However, this company, founded two years ago, has risen rapidly in a short period of time because it has successfully handled many thorny crisis public relations cases and has gained a firm foothold in the industry, winning a large number of top clients.

42West's biggest advantage is that it is located in New York. The company name comes from 42nd Street in New York, and the company is also located on that street.

As everyone knows, competition between the East Coast and the West Coast is everywhere in North America, including the arts and cultural industries. In the hip-hop rap world, there have even been homicides due to the East-West conflict. This is a microcosm. Similarly, the film and television industry is no exception, and competition always exists.

The four major Hollywood public relations companies are all in Los Angeles, so 42West's rapid rise has filled the gap on the East Coast. A large number of New York and Boston artists have turned to 42West, and now 42West has faintly the ability to impact, or even threaten, the four major public relations companies.

Anson was also meeting Eve Wilson for the first time. He gave her a polite smile, "But I didn't expect you to pick me up in person."

Eve shrugged casually, rolled her eyes, "Time. We need to seize the time. There's no time to wait for you to come to our branch office and then exchange pleasantries."

A pause, "Moreover, if we need to promote and build momentum, then we need to start from the airport."

Eve took a small half-step forward, closer to Anson, "Your position, two o'clock direction. There's a reporter hiding there now, preparing to take your picture. Come on, handsome, show your charm. Be natural. Don't look at the camera. Stand up straight. Feel the California sunshine."

After saying a word, Eve had already turned around and put on her sunglasses again, "Get in the car."

"You can't park here at the airport for too long. I've already seen someone eager to come over and give me a ticket. We'll talk about other things in the car."

Decisive and efficient.

Crisp and neat.

With a turn, Eve's golden short hair fluttered sharply in the wind, bringing her voice, "Smile. Remember to smile."

Eve got into the car first.

Anson was slightly stunned, and a smile had already climbed onto the corner of his mouth, "I've only heard rumors before, but now I've finally truly seen the demeanor of public relations."

Looking towards two o'clock, this time Anson saw the bazooka lens—

Click. Click click click click.

No wonder!

Darren told Anson that he had arranged a publicist for this Emmy Awards appearance. He asked Anson to cooperate and see how it goes. This time, he only signed a project. If he was not satisfied, then he could find other companies and other publicists; but if he was satisfied, he could consider signing a long-term contract.

Then, Darren reminded Anson that the airport outfit needed to be selected.

I see.

Anson raised his right hand and waved at the camera lens. He actually saw the photographer also look up and respond, as if to say:

Happy cooperation.

This made Anson smile even more happily.

Pa.

The car window rolled down, and Eve shouted again, "Hey, handsome, a few photos are enough. We have another itinerary. Get in the car quickly."

Without hesitation, Anson and Edgar got into the car. Eve turned the steering wheel and left the parking space, and they had already merged into the airport traffic.

When passing the photographer, Eve looked out the car window and held up her middle finger, but the photographer frantically pressed the shutter. The back-and-forth response was also a brand new Hollywood greeting mode, which couldn't help but make people smile.

Whoosh.

As the engine roared, they left the photographer behind.

Fourth update.
