Hogwarts Card Drawer

Chapter 261 Pig's Head Bar

Two weeks had passed in Hogwarts, and Kronos could barely complete his homework on time, even though he didn't have to go to Professor Snape's detention every day now. But Chronos is still the prefect of Slytherin, and he still has a lot of work to do.

The morning to Hogsmeade was sunny but windy. After breakfast, they lined up in front of Filch, who had to check their names against a long list of classmates whose parents or guardians had allowed them to visit Hogsmeade.

When Kronos walked in front of Filch, the administrator Filch bent his bent waist even lower, and he respectfully whispered in Kronos' ear, "I wish you a happy life in Hoag! Maud enjoy yourself, Master Chronos."

Kronos nodded hastily, and then continued to walk forward, to the stone steps, to the cold and sunny outdoors.

"Um, why is Filch sniffing so hard at you?" Draco asked as he, Chronos and Daphne walked briskly down the wide driveway leading to the gate.

"I don't know, I guess he wanted to ask me if I smell like dung eggs?" Kronos said with a light smile and half-jokingly.

"However, having said that, Chronos, why are you coming to Hogsmeade all of a sudden? In the past, you wouldn't have come even if you were asked!" Daphne asked suddenly.

"I can't afford to come this time!" Kronos shrugged his shoulders and said, "Someone asked me to come."

"Who?"

"You'll know when the time comes."

"Where are we going?" Draco asked. "The Three Broomsticks?"

Hearing the word "Three Broomsticks", Chronos and Daphne looked at each other in unison, which reminded both of them of the first time at The Three Broomsticks, which was so embarrassing. Even thinking about it now, Daphne blushed a lot.

"Well, no." Kronos thought about their agreed place in his mind, "She asked me to meet us at the Pig's Head Bar, which is another hotel, another hotel, not on the main road, you don't know , the owner of the hotel is Dumbledore's younger brother, Aberforth Dumbledore."

"Brother?" Draco seemed to have opened the door to a new world, "I never knew that Dumbledore had a younger brother, I thought... you know, Dumbledore has a hundred and ten How old are you?"

They walked down the road past the Zonkos Wizarding Joke Shop,

Not surprisingly, there they met Fred, George and Lee Joe Dan. Pass the post office, where the owls leave at regular intervals, and turn into a small road with a tavern at the end of it.

A splintered wooden signboard hung from a rusted bracket above the door, depicting a stern boar's head, its blood dripping on the surrounding white cloth. The sign creaked in the wind as they approached, and the three of them hesitated at the door.

"This place is simply dirty, messy, and poor endorsement! Are we really going in? Chronos." Draco frowned, constantly looking up and down at the bar sign that was about to fall.

Although Daphne didn't speak, her frowning also represented her attitude.

"Go, let's go in! It's bad if you're late." In order to encourage them, Kronos took the lead and walked in first.

It's nothing like the Three Broomsticks here, where the big bar has a shiny warm, clean feel to it. The Hog's Head is a small, dark and very dirty room that smells strongly like goat.

The windows of the bar were thick with grime, so that only a little daylight came in. Instead, there were short, bare candles on the rough wooden tables in the room. The floor looked like compacted mud at first glance, but as soon as Kronos walked up it, he realized that it was actually a stone floor, which seemed to have accumulated dust for thousands of years.

Kronos once remembered his godfather Horace once mentioning the Hog's Head to himself, "There are a lot of interesting people to meet in the Hog's Head," he once said.

He once met a poacher in the Pig's Head Bar, and he exchanged a lot of precious potion raw materials that had disappeared from the market in the hands of the poacher. His godfather, Horace, not only likes to accept talented students as apprentices, but he also likes to collect some rare potion ingredients.

There was a man in the bar, his whole head was bound with a dirty gray bandage, which seemed to be the hallmark of their place, and even though he couldn't see his facial features, he managed to swallow countless glasses of margarine from a small opening in his mouth. A smoky, fiery thing.

At a table by the window sat two figures whose outlines were concealed by hoods, and if they hadn't been talking in thick Yorkshire accents Chronos would have thought they were dementors. In a shadowed corner by the fireplace sat a witch, wearing a thick, black veil that fell to her feet. They could only see the tip of her nose because it protruded slightly from the top of her veil.

While Chronos and the others were still looking at this strange bar, the bar owner flashed sideways through a back door and greeted them.

He was a grumpy looking old man with a mass of long gray hair and beard. He was tall and thin, and Chronos had seen him young in Dumbledore's pensieve, and he was not what he is now.

"What do you want?" he asked muttering.

"Three butterbeers, please," Chronos said.

The man bent down and took out three dusty, filthy quilts from under the counter, and placed them heavily on the bar.

"Six Sickles," he said.

"Let me pay!" Kronos said quickly, and handed over the silver coins. Chronos watched him put the money into an old wooden money drawer, which slid open and swallowed the money.

Kronos looked around as the man in the dirty gray bandages tapped his knuckles on the counter and got another smoky drink from the barkeeper.

"Is there anyone upstairs?" Kronos asked the bar owner looking at the inconspicuous staircase.

"A few Hogwarts students like you went up there not long ago." The bar owner seemed to have expected Kronos to ask this question, and without looking up, he wiped his hands with a piece of rag glass replied.

"Thank you." Kronos suddenly raised his head and drank the remaining half of the glass of butterbeer, then put the glass on the counter in front of the boss, and walked upstairs.
