Hogwarts Card Drawer
Chapter 260 Senior Investigator
"Did you know? Chronos. Professor Umbridge has been appointed as Hogwarts' Senior Inquisitor." Draco walked to Corot with a copy of this morning's "Daily Prophet" in his hand. North's side said.
"I didn't know it just now, but I know it now. But what does that have to do with me?" Kronos shrugged indifferently. His most urgent task now is how to explain the thesis in the Potions class for a while.
"Why doesn't it matter?" Draco said gloomily, "Fudge gave him the right to censor all the teachers at Hogwarts. Including you, the professor of the magic circle class."
"It's okay, if he fires me, I'll just take a break." Kronos didn't care about this matter at all.
Before Kronos could finish his words, a piece of thesis paper with his handwriting on it was viciously buckled on his head.
"If you hand in something like this in the O.W.L. exam, the grade I'll give you is what you'll get." Professor Snape said viciously.
He then walked briskly among the class, handing them back homework, "which should give you a good idea of what to expect on the exam."
Professor Snape walked to the front of the classroom and turned to face the students.
Kronos took a look at the grade on his homework and it was an "A", which was just a pass.
"What's yours?" Chronos stretched his neck to read the grades on Draco's homework.
"Also an A." Draco smiled and showed Chronos the other side of the parchment.
"The overall level of homework this time was terrible. If it were an exam, most of you wouldn't pass it. I hope you put a little more effort into this week's paper on the various types of antidotes, otherwise I'm going to have to put those idiots in D in solitary."
"Anyone else got a D? Ha!" Draco sneered a few times.
"I guess if I wasn't O, Professor Snape would probably not let me go." Kronos put his homework into his schoolbag depressedly.
After Potions class is Defense Against the Dark Arts class, still with Gryffindor classmates. As soon as the get out of class bell rang, the students packed their schoolbags and rushed to the next class place in a hurry.
Senior Wizard Griselda Marchbanks. "Professor Umbridge said calmly, "I'm here to teach you to use Ministry-approved, but it doesn't include introducing certain viewpoints to students, because those things don't need to be understood too much. The teacher who taught this course before may allow you Doing so, however, I'm not like them, with the possible exception of Professor Quirrell, who at least allows his courses to be age-free which will be subject to Ministry of Magic scrutiny.
"Quirrell is a good teacher," Harry said loudly, "he just made a small mistake and was controlled by Voldemort." Harry just finished speaking, and the whole classroom fell silent. Chronos realized that Harry was still a stunned young man.
Then, "I think you need another week of confinement, which will do you good, Mr. Potter." Professor Umbridge said calmly. The cut on Harry's arm hadn't fully healed, and the next day, it was going to bleed again.
In the evening confinement, he stopped complaining, he decided he couldn't let Professor Umbridge get his way, he wrote over and over again I can't lie, the room was quiet save for the rustle of his pen, and, Every time he wrote, the wound deepened.
Lunch time at noon is one of the few breaks for students in Kronos and his grade, and they are overwhelmed by the mountains of homework.
"What's the class in the afternoon?" Kronos asked after cutting up a lamb chop.
"Two sex change classes and the protection of magical animals." Daphne had already memorized the class schedule, and she didn't need to look through her schoolbag to read it.
During an hour of lunch time, Chronos and the others only said these two sentences.
Everyone shut their mouths in a tacit understanding and chose to rest for a while.
In the afternoon, Professor Umbridge followed Chronos and the others into the classroom of transgender class. Looks like she's going to exercise her rights as a senior investigator.
On time, Professor McGonagall strode into the classroom. Judging from her expression, it seemed that she didn't know Professor Umbridge's existence at all.
"Okay," she said, and the room immediately fell silent. "Mr. Slughorn, please come and pass on the homework, and Miss Astoria, please take down this box of mice. Don't be so silly. Girl, they won't bite you, give each classmate one."
Kronos felt that Professor McGonagall's worries were unnecessary, at least Kronos didn't see any fear on Daphne's face.
While handing out homework, Kronos took note of his grades. Still "A", perfectly acceptable.
"Cough, cough." Professor Umbridge coughed, the same stupid cough she used to interrupt Dumbledore on the first night of school. Professor McGonagall pretended not to see it.
Professor Umbridge looked as if he had been slapped. But he didn't speak, just sorted out the parchment on the folder, and then wrote something down on it.
But Professor McGonagall looked extremely indifferent, and just continued to teach his class.
'As I said earlier: the Vanishing Charm becomes more complicated when it is used to disappear animals. Invertebrates like snails don't offer you enough difficulty; mammals like mice are a little harder. But you don't get to practice well before dinner. Now let me check your spells so I can ascertain how far you are...'
'How long have you been teaching at Hogwarts? ’ asked Professor Umbridge.
When they walked out of the classroom, Draco insisted on pulling Chronos and Sedphine to eavesdrop behind the door.
'It will be thirty-nine years this December,' said Professor McGonagall suddenly, after 'snapping' her bag shut.
Professor Umbridge made some notes.
'Very well,' she said, 'you will have the test results within ten days. '
'I will wait carefully. ’ said Professor McGonagall, in a differently cold voice than usual, and strode out the door.
"I really don't know if she will use this tone to ask Professor Snape." Draco had a feeling that watching the excitement is not a big deal.
"Don't worry, she will." Kronos satisfied his curiosity in advance.
"Why are you so sure?" Draco asked puzzled.
"I guess." Kronos laughed.
"Both of you, better hurry up." Daphne couldn't help kicking Chronos' ankle, "We're going to be late soon."
