Hogwarts Card Drawer

Chapter 50 Diagon Alley

Draco was clearly not the first time in Knockturn Alley, and he led Chronos through the winding alleyways until they came out into bright sunlight. Kronos saw a familiar white marble building from a distance: Gringotts Bank.

The last time Chronos came to Diagon Alley, he took Horace's money and hadn't been to Gringotts. This time he needs to go to Gringotts Bank to open an account to store his earnings.

There are two doors in Gringotts:

The first door was a gleaming bronze gate, guarded by goblins in uniforms of scarlet and gold, bowing to clients as they came.

The second door is silver, and the following words are engraved on the door:

Come in, stranger, but take heed (Enter, stranger, but take heed)

(Of what awaits the sin of greed,)

Blindly ask for, get for nothing (For those who take, but do not earn,)

Must pay most dearly in their turn, (Must pay most dearly in their turn,)

So if you seek beneath our floors

A treasure that was never yours, (A treasure that was never yours,)

Thief, you have been warned, beware

Be careful not to bring treasures, but evil rewards. (Of finding more than treasure there.)

Through the second silver door and into the spacious marble hall, about a hundred goblins sat behind the long counter and registered hastily in the large ledger. Some use scales to weigh coins, others use eyepieces to detect gems.

Kronos came to the front desk, and the goblin above was obviously very old. The few hairs on top of the head (probably hair!) have turned white.

"Hello, I need to open a vault of my own in Gringotts." Kronos rang the bell on the front desk.

"To open a treasury, you need to pre-deposit thirty gold Galleons." The goblin said without looking up, he was dealing with a lot of bills.

"Crack!" Chronos threw the bag containing thirty Galleons on the table. When he was awarded the Medal of Sir Merlin, Chronos also won a worthless Galleon. So the thirty gold Gallon Chronos really didn't care.

Hearing the sound of the gold coins colliding in the bag, the eyes who were processing the bill raised their heads and gave Kronos a slash.

It took out a piece of parchment from the cabinet next to it and handed it to Kronos. Kronos glanced at it and it was nothing more than a list of ordinary information such as names, addresses, and jobs. Chronos wrote Hogwarts' magic circle professor on the task column.

The goblin just glanced at it, then casually threw the list aside. Then he turned around and shouted to a goblin next to him, "Ross, No. 232, common vault." The goblin threw what barely looked like a key to Chronos.

The vaults lie hundreds of kilometers beneath London, through the hall doors into narrow stone corridors with a small railway underneath. The goblin named Rose led Chronos in a small cart in the middle of the labyrinthine winding passages. There is also an underground lake on the way, covered with huge stalactites and stalagmites.

Ordinary customers use small gold keys to open the vault door after arriving at the designated vault, while important vaults are guarded by fire dragons, which must be led by goblins.

You can pass with a jingle piece.

Chronos is an ordinary customer, and the treasury is not very big. Kronos also only deposited the thirty gold galleons he used to open the account symbolically.

"I'm going to the Quidditch boutique. My dad should be waiting for me there. Chronos, how about you?" Draco couldn't help but go to buy his new broom. Chronos noticed that he was fidgeting all the time. In the end, the two agreed to meet at Lihen Bookstore.

"You go first. I'm going to buy a new cauldron." Kronos refused Draco. His cauldron had already been broken by a failed Potions class last semester, and Snape gave Kronos a lot of winks for this.

Potage's Cauldron Shop: This is the closest shop to the Leaky Cauldron. This store sells crucibles of various sizes and materials. There is a shiny sign outside the store and it reads:

Cauldrons (Crucibles)

All sizes

Copper, Brass, Pewter, Silver (pure copper, brass, tin, silver)

Self-Stirring (automatic stirring)

(adjustable)

Chronos finally chose a self-stirring crucible made of brass. When he came out, there was still a group of witches in the store bargaining for a 3-gold galleon cauldron.

"Hmm... I still need to buy some potions." Kronos touched his pocket, and the money left in it was enough for him to buy the rest.

"This is it." Kronos looked up at the signboard hanging at the door. Slug \u0026amp;amp;amp; Jiggers Apothecary: This potion ingredient apothecary is a charming place filled with all kinds of interesting stuff. On the floor were rows of barrels of goo, against the walls were various jars of powders and herbs, and bundles of feathers, fangs, and claws hung from the ceiling. The whole pharmacy smells very bad, it smells like a mixture of rotten eggs and rotten vegetables.

In the end, Chronos bought some dried skins of toads and stems and leaves of asparagus, which were the raw materials for potions needed in the second grade.

"Kronos?" Just as Kronos was walking towards Lihen Bookstore, a voice stopped him.

"Harry, Hermione. Long time no see!" Kronos thought they should be in Lihen Bookstore at this time. Kronos also carefully noticed some pot ashes on Harry's face and wizard robes that hadn't come. Looking at the direction they came from, he should have just come out of Knockturn Alley.

"Of course it's been a long time. When we learned from Professor McGonagall that you were taken away by Dumbledore. We thought you made some mistake." Hermione said angrily.

"What big mistake can I, a little wizard who has not graduated, make Dumbledore look for me in person?" Kronos thought it was a little funny.

"You are not a little wizard, you are now a well-known magister in the wizarding world."

Chronos felt Hermione's sourness when she said that. Kronos had no choice but to smile helplessly.

"You've been on a roll for the past two months. The Daily Prophet published your story for a week in a row. They say you're the most outstanding genius in the wizarding world, and they say you're the fourth magician after Dumbledore and the You-Know-Who A legendary wizard. But there are also wizards who think..." Hermione paused.

"What do you think?" Chronos asked.

"Because you go to school in Slytherin, some wizards think you will be the next Dark Lord." Hermione said behind, her voice was so low that only Chronos and Harry could hear.
