Hogwarts Homecoming
Chapter 1048: Endless Crisis
The gorgeous red fireworks slowly climbed up in an unstable trajectory. After the spatial distance was weakened, the sharp whistling sound was blurred, but its light still left a clear mark in the eyes of the three people.
Fireworks exploded, and Harry, who had the sharpest vision, vaguely caught two black figures rushing towards the place where the fireworks were rising at extremely fast speeds.
Two minutes later, the black shadow rose into the sky again and drove rapidly in one direction. After a few seconds, it was completely invisible.
The three eyes staring in that direction retracted. Harry, Hermione and Ron looked at each other, and they all saw the depression in each other's eyes.
"Someone's out."
Ron said nonsense, but Harry and Hermione didn't blame him.
"Who could it be?"
Hermione asked, her breathing slightly ragged.
No one can answer this question, but Harry doesn't want it to be Neville and Luna. Although he doesn't like Cedric, in this arena, after all, they are fighting for the glory of Hogwarts, which is the most important thing.
A little nastiness between him and Cedric wasn't enough to make Harry change his stance.
Several surveillance cameras floating above their heads kept changing their angles to take a clearer picture of the pale faces and helpless expressions of the three little wizards.
It was unclear whether Professor Blaine's device could collect their memories and their voices at the same time. None of the three Harrys talked too much about the fact that someone was eliminated at the beginning, lest the audience would think that they were gloating about their misfortune.
The devil's nets in the swamp are still holding up the green vines, as if they feel that there are living creatures nearby.
This scene in the eerie Forbidden Forest was truly terrifying, and the three of them quickly moved away.
Pulling his legs out of the muddy wetland, Harry climbed onto a rock that was half embedded in the soil and half exposed. Without taking a breath, he quickly turned around and took Hermione's hand. Ron was at the bottom to support Hermione's hand. With her calves, the two boys got Hermione onto the rock. Finally, Harry grabbed Ron's wrist. After some effort, Ron also got out of the wetland.
Now, the three of them can take a breather.
Hermione used the Clear Water Fountain Charm to get some clean water, and cleaned the mud off her shoes and pants for herself, Harry, and Ron. The three of them drank some more cold water, and finally regained some energy.
"I have never 'hated' Professor Blaine's whimsical ideas as much as I do now."
Ron, who was afraid that his voice would be captured and then reach the ears of thousands of wizards, glanced warily at the camera facing him in the air and muttered softly.
Harry wiped the water dripping from his wet hair on his face, and when he heard Ron's complaint, he could only respond with a wry smile.
Three little wizards were sitting between a giant tree. There were no cicadas or birds in the dead forest, only the sound of the air in the soil seeping out into the water and finally releasing itself in the form of bursting bubbles.
Another sense of loneliness suppresses the three of them in an intuitive way.
What to do next?
Harry glanced at the blackboard that Hermione was holding in her hand and staring at nervously. His lips opened, and he saw the rather weighty school badge falling in Hermione's pocket. The light in his green eyes flashed.
"Give me the school badge, Hermione."
Hermione was staring intently at the blackboard in case it suddenly prompted her, and she subconsciously touched her pockets.
But just when she was about to take out this important prop that represented victory, she came back to her senses and looked at Harry alertly,
"What are you going to do, Harry."
Harry sighed inwardly, knowing that he could no longer hide his intentions.
"I think it's more appropriate for me to keep it, don't you?"
Harry said lightly,
"This will be misleading. I mean, the other three teams, their school badges will definitely be handed over to the Warriors for safekeeping."
It goes without saying that the person most likely to hold the school badge will be subject to 'focus fire'.
"If that's the case, brother—"
Ron swallowed and smiled ugly,
"I should keep the school badge."
Harry thought that Hermione would definitely not agree, but to her surprise, Hermione's eyes flickered for a while, and she actually took out her badge and threw it towards Ron.
Ron hurriedly took the badge, rubbed it in his hand for a while, then smiled at Harry and put it in his arms under Harry's gaze.
"Should we discuss countermeasures now?"
Ron pretended to be relaxed and said,
"Who are we going to deal with first later? Professor Brain said that the board can mark the positions of all teams, but he didn't say who is in each position?"
Harry stood up from his slumped position and moved his joints to prepare for the next high-intensity exercise.
"It's best not to run into Cedric. If we can take away the school badges from Fleur and Viktor, then at least we can secure Hogwarts. Oh!"
There was a rustling sound in the deep forest, and Harry looked over immediately. At one glance, he let out a scream similar to the one before Ron was hung up in the devil's net.
After receiving Harry's warning signal, Hermione and Ron, who were sitting down to rest, immediately jumped up from the rocks.
Hermione returned to her position next to Harry, while Ron stood behind them, in the middle of the gap between them, forming a defensive formation.
The visibility in the forest was extremely poor, and it was so groggy that it was difficult to see clearly even a hundred or ten feet away. Hermione squinted her eyes and took a closer look, but could not see anything clearly.
"What did you see, Harry!"
Ron behind him also expressed the same question.
"That thing!"
Harry's voice was shrill,
"I don't know. There are five magical animals. I haven't seen them before, but they look difficult to deal with!"
In Harry's eyes, about a hundred feet away, a group of ferocious magical animals walked gracefully in the dark.
Hermione opened her eyes as wide as she could, and let her wand emit a bright light, shining it in the direction Harry pointed, but she saw nothing.
"Are you sure you're not seeing things, Harry!"
Hermione raised her voice,
"But I can't see anything."
"Me too. Maybe you're hallucinating, brother."
Ron's panting sounded like a bellows.
"Absolutely not!"
Harry's expression became more and more nervous,
"That thing looks like a horse, its wings are like a bat, and its head is a bit like the treetop you dealt with, Hermione. Its eyes are red, oh, they've found us and are approaching here!"
As soon as Harry finished speaking, a breeze blew in the forest, and quickly turned into a strong wind. Although Hermione and Ron still couldn't see anything, the strong wind blowing in their faces made them know that what Harry said was true.
"I know!"
When the lush grass on the ground fifty feet in front of them showed obvious bends and swaying tracks, Hermione suddenly screamed,
"Run!"
Hermione screamed, and then immediately turned around and jumped off the side of the rock.
Harry and Ron followed Hermione and jumped off the rock. Ron shouted,
"What the hell is that, Hermione? Why can't we see it!"
Hermione didn't say anything, but fled at full speed, turned her head with a sullen face, and threw a spell at the big rock where they had just rested.
The moment the spell light touched the surface of the rock, there was an earth-shattering explosion. The shattered rocks flew in all directions like bullets, and even the three of them were affected!
There was an angry scream in the air, and in addition, the clear kicking sound also reached Ron's ears, who was howling like a ghost after being hit by the rubble.
"Can you explain it, Hermione!"
Hearing the whistling sound getting closer, Harry turned around and cast a spell. His spell light accurately hit the skinny head of the monster in the front row, but before Harry could be happy, the monster's hard skull smashed Harry's spell light and continued to chase them without being affected at all.
"Ordinary spells are useless, Harry. Their skin is immune to spells just like dragons!"
Hermione waved her hands frequently, throwing out spells of light, blowing up the thin trees on both sides of the place where they passed.
"We need to create obstacles for them so that they can't catch up!"
Even if they couldn't see them now, it would prevent Hermione and Ron from finding the exact location of the monsters. The three of them fled to the area with denser trees while blowing up trees and creating holes on the ground.
Harry set another fire behind him. The fire couldn't spread too far in the wet forest, but the steaming hot air still effectively scared away the monsters chasing them behind them.
They kept running for about twenty minutes until Ron's ankle was caught when he passed through some vines, and they had to stop.
After releasing the cutting spell to help Ron get rid of the restraints, Hermione panted and said without waiting for Harry and Ron to ask,
"Oh, if I'm not mistaken, that's-a tribe of wild night thestrals."
