Hogwarts: I, Tom, am really not Voldemort!
#25 - Chapter 25: The Battle of Hogwarts (Part 2)
On the other side of the battlefield, Voldemort and Harry, the destined rivals, still met as fate would have it, while Hermione and Ron faced Nagini.
When Tom searched here, Harry and Voldemort had already moved the battlefield. Nagini happened to fling Ron, who had sneak-attacked with snake fangs, towards Hermione, poised to launch a final strike against them both.
Seeing this, Neville brandished the Sword of Gryffindor and stepped forward to kill Nagini, but suddenly felt a tremendous force strike him, instantly throwing him away. At the same time, a high wall rose in front of Nagini, blocking its attack.
Tom then slowly stepped into the arena from the edge, glanced at Hermione and Ron with an inscrutable gaze, and reminded them, "I am not your enemy now."
Seeing Ron point his wand at him, Tom casually used a Disarming Charm to knock his wand away, his tone turning colder: "Don't move, don't make me do it. If there's another time, it won't be as simple as a Disarming Charm."
Ron wanted to do something, but Hermione grabbed him.
Ignoring the little actions of the two over there, Tom slowly walked towards Nagini.
Nagini hissed, staring at Tom as he approached, and bit at him with lightning speed. Its movements were fast, but Tom's were even faster. The moment Nagini made a move, he turned the surrounding stones into ropes and tightly bound it.
Facing the desperately struggling Nagini, Tom didn't waste time and directly threw a Soul Furnace over.
Light surged towards Nagini, and Tom stared intently, his success hinging on this moment.
And the reality was as Tom had guessed. The moment the light touched Nagini, Voldemort's soul fragment was torn out, and like the previous times, it was wrapped and obliterated. Moreover, this time it wasn't just Voldemort's fragment, but also Nagini's soul.
Unlike Voldemort's soul fragment, which wailed in pain, Nagini's humanoid soul phantom bathed in golden light as if it had been purified and redeemed. Tom even faintly heard a gentle female voice in his ear: "Thank you!"
A moment later, the light dissipated. Nagini, whose soul had been liberated, left behind a lifeless body, and Voldemort's residual soul consciousness was also obliterated in the light. Tom took a deep look at Nagini's shell, expressing his final wish to her: "I hope you won't suffer so much in that world, and I hope you can reunite with Credence." Then, he grabbed the pure white substance left behind by Voldemort.
Absorbing it in the same way, Tom discovered that the magic level in the system panel had become 8+. He glanced at the countdown panel, still with 13 minutes remaining, and said to Hermione and Ron, who had been watching the whole show in a daze, "See you," before hurrying towards the square.
At this time, in the square, Harry had begun to gradually gain the upper hand in his duel with Voldemort. Having lost his last Horcrux, and with the Elder Wand in his hand unable to exert its power when facing its master, Voldemort was about to reach the end of his story. Harry's Disarming Charm red light was gradually pushing back the Killing Curse's green light towards Voldemort.
Just as Harry was exerting all his strength, he suddenly heard a soft shout of "Avada Kedavra!", and glimpsed a familiar green light coming towards him, instantly scaring him out of his wits.
Just as Harry was preparing to close his eyes and await death, the Killing Curse did not hit him. The green flash passed by him, striking Voldemort, who was fighting him with all his might, directly.
Struck by the Killing Curse, Voldemort instantly lost his life, turning to ashes and dissipating in the air. The Elder Wand also returned to its true master, Harry.
"Expelliarmus!"
Just as Harry's spirit had just relaxed a little, the red light of the Disarming Charm hit him all at once, and the Elder Wand, which he had just obtained, flew out of his hand.
Tom, the instigator of all this, walked out of the shadows with elegant steps and picked up the Elder Wand from the ground.
The moment Tom obtained the Elder Wand, he felt an incredible power surge from the wand into his body. The feeling of being one with the wand made him truly feel that he had become the master of the Elder Wand.
Harry stared at Tom warily, and asked in a stern voice, "Voldemort, what do you want to do?"
"I don't plan to do anything, Harry," Tom looked at Harry's attitude with some amusement. "Besides, I'm not Voldemort, I'm just Tom Riddle."
Harry frowned upon hearing this, and asked in confusion, "What's the difference?"
Facing Harry's question, Tom has always been patient: "Voldemort is Tom Riddle, but Tom Riddle is not necessarily Voldemort."
Glancing at the countdown timer with 10 seconds remaining, and seeing more and more people gathering here, Tom put the Elder Wand into his storage space and bowed slightly to Harry:
"Goodbye, Harry Potter, wish you good morning, good afternoon, and good night."
As the countdown reached zero, Tom heard the system's voice in his mind saying "Mission Completed". Like when he came, the orange vortex swallowed him, disappearing in place in the unbelievable eyes of Harry and the others.
In the Room of Requirement's junk room, Cassandra paced back and forth anxiously.
"What to do, what to do, the Dark Lord has disappeared like this. Should I find someone to help? No, I can't find someone for this kind of thing. And what if the Dark Lord comes back and finds that no one is waiting for him, will he vent his anger on me?"
Ever since Tom suddenly disappeared into the orange vortex an hour ago, she didn't dare to ask the teacher for help, and didn't dare to leave easily, and could only wait anxiously in place alone.
Just when Cassandra was at a loss, a touch of orange light suddenly lit up in the dim room.
The crystal that took Tom away appeared again, and then an orange vortex spat him out, and the crystal disappeared into thin air in front of Cassandra's eyes with Tom's appearance.
Seeing Tom return, Cassandra hurried forward to help him, and looked at him with a dusty face and asked with concern: "Are you okay? What happened just now, are you injured?"
Tom slowly stood up with Cassandra's support: "It's okay, I'm not injured, I just went and killed a Voldemort."
Faced with Tom's Versailles-style remarks, Cassandra was full of question marks. What does it mean to go and kill a Voldemort, and also, isn't Voldemort Tom himself?
Seeing Cassandra's puzzled expression, Tom had no intention of explaining, just smiled at her.
After carefully checking the storage space and the panel, Tom found that the Elder Wand obtained from that world had been brought back to this world, and the 8+ magic power on the panel had also been retained.
'As expected, it is the parallel world I expected, it seems that this is a successful bug card.'
Tom stood up straight with satisfaction, ready to take Cassandra away, and suddenly felt a burst of dizziness.
The feeling of fatigue brought about by the relaxation of the tense nerves on the battlefield, as well as the discomfort of continuous magic power growth, made Tom's eyes go dark, and his body softly fell into Cassandra's arms.
