Hogwarts: Storm Chaser

Chapter 40: Flight Lessons

On the lawn beside the Forbidden Forest, Ralph and the others came to the flying lesson venue with Gryffindor.

On the way, Hansen, together with several Gryffindors and Ralph beside him, talked about the charm of Quidditch.

They also said that they were quite talented in this area, that they had flown across the Atlantic Ocean to the United States on a broomstick, or that they were almost discovered by a Muggle pilot flying a plane.

Hearing this, William, who was born as a Muggle, was a little disdainful. Flying side by side with the plane was simply asking for death, but he didn't say it. He quite liked Quidditch.

When Hansen said that he would definitely make the Gryffindor Quidditch team, William looked at him with a competitor's eyes.

[To be honest, I have been using Yeguo to read and catch up on books recently. I can switch sources and read aloud with many sounds. www. Android and Apple are available.]

Hansen himself didn't notice anything and was still talking.

Claude and Daniel were a little nervous. Although Daniel's mother was a wizard, he had never heard his mother talk about Quidditch. Maybe his mother was not good at it either.

There was no need for Claude to say more. His parents were ordinary people, and he doubted that he would not have Quidditch talent.

So, he would ask Hansen some Quidditch tips from time to time. At the beginning, Hansen could still answer the questions based on his own knowledge and experience.

After arriving at the venue, Hansen was already miserable. He was also a beginner and didn't know everything. How did he know how to do those skills?

The last person to rescue him was Mrs. Huo Qi.

Mrs. Huo Qi ordered everyone to line up in two lines according to the college, with two arms' width between people.

After arranging the teams, Mrs. Huo Qi walked to the open space in the center of the two teams, waved her magic wand, distributed these old broomsticks to the students, and placed them on their right side.

These brooms are all Meteor brooms, a series of low-priced brooms produced by the Universal Broom Company in 1955, and have remained the cheapest to date.

After allocating brooms, Mrs. Hooch began to teach everyone how to use broomsticks. Everyone listened very carefully, after all, this is the main mode of transportation for British wizards.

The eaglets couldn't wait to take out paper and pen and start taking notes immediately, even William.

After explaining the skills of using broomsticks, Mrs. Hooch began to let everyone practice them one by one. She wanted to ensure that all wizards could ride on the broomstick and float and hover in the air in the first lesson.

After looking at the two rows of teams and considering the performance of both houses in the Quidditch match, she decided to start with the "more talented" Gryffindor.

Give the little eagles more time to study.

The performance of the little lions was pretty good. Although they made some mistakes, they quickly mastered it with Mrs. Huo Qi's correction.

The first few little wizards who flew too high or fell because of nervousness were all saved by Mrs. Huo Qi waving her magic wand. This greatly increased the confidence and courage of the little wizards behind.

It was the turn of Hansen and the roommates around him, and he seemed very confident.

"Get up!" Under the instruction of Mrs. Hooch, they shouted to the broom.

The broom obediently bounced up from the ground and was held in their hands. They raised their legs and sat on the broom.

"Take off." Mrs. Hooch said.

"Peng!"

A huge voice sounded, it was Hansen, he ascended to heaven.

The roommates around him were frightened.

Mrs. Huo Qi was also stunned for a moment, then quickly reacted, took the broom of one of Hansen's roommates, sat on it neatly, and flew after him.

"Stay here and don't take off without permission!"

Mrs. Huo Qi ordered sternly, feeling annoyed in her heart. How could she be so relaxed by these little lions? You know, there are no accidents in Gryffindor during the flying lessons for freshmen every year!

Watching Mrs. Huo Qi leave, everyone looked at each other in shock, and then came to their respective brooms and started practicing, as long as they didn't take off.

There was only Gryffindor without a broom, standing there alone, not knowing what to do.

"Get up." Ralph called to the broom. The broom jumped into his hand obediently, and Ralph raised his eyebrows in surprise.

Closing his eyes, he recalled his previous feelings.

Seeing Ralph like this, Claude and Daniel were relieved and stopped shouting. They knew that Ralph would teach them.

Next to them, under their envious eyes, William, like Ralph, succeeded in one go.

He put the broom under his body and made a take-off motion, but he didn't really fly. After all, Mrs. Huo Qi's warning was still there.

After a while, Ralph opened his eyes and put the broom on the ground again.

Standing beside the broom, he put his hand on the broom, and the broom jumped up spontaneously and was held by him.

Putting down the broom, with his palm facing up, he hooked his fingers lightly, and the broom jumped up, circled around, and fell into Ralph's hand.

Continuing to put it down, Ralph put his hand in front of him and opened his palm. It returned to the palm again, just like a pet, very obedient.

Looking at Ralph who kept picking up the broom in various ways, William became numb again and again. He thought he could finally compete with Ralph in this aspect, but he failed completely.

Finally, Ralph stopped. Seeing this, Claude and the others immediately surrounded him, waiting for Ralph's instruction. William was not surprised either.

It's actually very simple to make the broomstick jump to your hand, because there is a magic in the broom that is similar to the reverse [Flying Curse] effect. As long as you call it, he can sense it.

Ralph explained to them, but looking at the confused expression on the little lion's face, Ralph decided to keep it simple.

"Have confidence in yourself, believe that the broom will respond to your call, and you will succeed!"

William did not question this time, and he gradually understood the principle of "a true message, a false message of thousands of books".

To be honest, William's talent is really enviable. Before, he had to shout for a broom to succeed. Later, he has reached the level of Ralph, playing all kinds of tricks.

Claude and Daniel suppressed their nervousness and worries, and finally succeeded with a bump.

Soon, Mrs. Huo Qi came back and flew back from a distance with Hansen intact. It seemed that Hansen should have mastered flying.

Looking at the little wizard below who was practicing continuously, Mrs. Huo Qi was very happy.

At the same time, her sharp eyes also noticed Ralph, who was sitting sideways on the broom, throwing his legs in a daze of boredom, and William, who was calling for the broom in a fancy way.

Looking at the relatively strong Hansen next to her, she came up with an idea. Although this idea has never been realized, she and Minerva both insisted on it.

Mrs. Huo Qi took Hansen back to the venue. Hansen walked to his position like a victorious lion with his head held high. Mrs. Huo Qi did not forget to return the broom to the classmate.

Afterwards, the one-to-four teachings continued, and gradually it was Ravenclaw's turn.
