Hogwarts: Storm Chaser
Chapter 9: The Hogwarts Express
A whistle sounded and the train started.
The scenery outside the window began to change, from slow to fast, showing the beauty and vastness of nature.
The four people in the carriage were chatting animatedly. Rock and Claude were asking about the wizarding world. Hanson was also quite interested in the Muggle community, and Ralph happened to know a little bit about everything.
While they were talking, the train had left London and was speeding along fields filled with cattle and sheep.
Everyone couldn't help but look out the window, watching the fields and pastures passing by.
After a moment of silence, the noise filled the car again.
At about half past twelve, a loud noise came from the corridor.
A woman with a nice smile and dimples opened the stall door and asked, "Honey, do you want to order some food?"
Ralph didn't buy it, and he wasn't interested in collecting chocolate frog pictures.
Perhaps because of his mother, Rock bought a few chocolate frogs.
Claude, like Ralph, didn't buy any snacks.
Hansen bought some Bibi's multi-flavor beans, pumpkin pie and Chuibao Super Bubble Gum, and took the initiative to share them with his friends present.
Rock also gave everyone a chocolate frog, but the picture inside had to be returned to him, and he planned to try to collect one.
Seeing this, Ralph also opened the suitcase and first took out the cakes made by Ms. Rosmerta. Smelling the aroma in the carriage, he felt hungry.
Later, they took out some candies from Mr. and Mrs. Frum, which included some new products that had not yet been put on the shelves.
Likewise, Ralph distributed them to his new friends.
To be honest, Mrs. Romestad's pastries taste really good. After eating them, Hansen felt that even his pumpkin pie was no longer tasty.
But Claude was a little embarrassed and said with a blush, "Thank you."
Ralph waved his hand indifferently, not to mention Rock and Hansen.
"Claude, how is your family doing?" Ralph asked.
"Alas! You don't know, even if Claude is like this, his family's conditions are...well..."
Before Rock could finish speaking, the red-headed Claude covered his mouth.
Seeing this, Ralph shook his head, "So that means it's not bad?"
Claude nodded.
"This is easy to handle. Muggle-born wizards can only exchange pounds for gold Galleons. However, precious metals, gems and the like are also hard currencies in the wizarding world, and they can also exchange them for Galleons from Gringotts.
And there’s no upper limit.”
"Really?" After hearing this, Claude looked at him with bright eyes.
"Yes." Ralph nodded.
After chatting happily for a while, Hansen opened a bag of Bibi's multi-flavor beans and invited everyone to eat together.
Under Hansen's explanation, everyone learned about the magic of these beans. Each bean contains different flavors. Which flavor you can eat depends on your luck.
Looking at Hansen who was eager to try, everyone picked one, although there was no difference in appearance.
"Ah, ha, it's so spicy, so spicy, this one is spicy." Hansen gasped because of the spicy taste, but still said excitedly.
"My cool drink should be mint flavored," Rock said.
"Coconut flavor is my favorite," Crowder said.
"Herring flavor." Ralph said, and threw a candy to Hansen. Hansen unwrapped the candy wrapper and put it in his mouth. The expression on his face relaxed instantly. It was so cold and comfortable.
"Oh, the smell of canned herring?" Crowder exclaimed.
"Well, it's the taste, not the smell. Ignore the smell, it actually tastes pretty good." Ralph defended the canned herring.
"Ralph, where did you buy this candy? It's ice-cold, it tastes really good." Hansen asked, "Canned herring, what is that? Is it delicious?"
"It was given by a neighbor in Hogsmeade. The couple owns a candy store called Honeydukes Candy Store. You can go shopping when you have time." Ralph explained.
Then they started to offer canned herrings to Hansen Kopp. Hansen strongly expressed that he wanted to try it, and Claude was also willing to give him a portion.
Then, they started picking beans again.
At this time, the fields outside the car window became more and more deserted, and the neat farmland had disappeared.
What followed was a forest, a winding river and dark green hills, which became increasingly dangerous and attractive under the gradually darkening sky.
After picking up several weird smells in succession, Ralph took out his wand.
"Hey, bro, what are you doing?" Hansen asked.
"Mr. Ollivander said my wand would bring me good luck." Ralph said with a bit of resentment.
The three of them looked at each other, not knowing what to say.
I saw that Ralph put the wand in the air and let it float naturally. Everyone in the carriage was stunned.
"I want a fruity one," Ralph said to the wand.
The wand trembled slightly and pointed at a certain bean, and everyone looked at that bean.
"Let me try it." Hansen quickly threw the beans into his mouth while no one was paying attention. "It is indeed fruity."
Ralph tried several more times, all within the range he specified.
"It seems that Mr. Ollivander is right, your wand can indeed bring you good luck." Rock said, and Claude nodded in agreement.
"Coach, I want to learn this." Hansen looked at Ralph longingly, as did Rock and Claude.
"Don't think about it, first of all, you have to have a magic wand like mine that can bring good luck.
Then, learn the [Levitation Spell], which is included in the first-grade textbook, and practice it to the point where you can cast the spell without a wand.
Ultimately, the connection between you and your wand needs to be strong enough."
Ralph talked to them.
They looked at each other. They obviously understood not a single word, but why couldn't they understand it when they were connected together?

"I think you will definitely go to Ravenclaw." Hansen said.
"Maybe." Ralph said casually.
They gave up because they were not satisfied with the first step, let alone the second and third steps that they couldn't understand.
"Do you know how to sort the hospital? My mother told me that you have to successfully cast a spell." Rock said.
"My brother told me to defeat a troll." Hansen said rarely seriously, "Ralph, what about you?"
"They didn't say anything to me, they just told me very mysteriously that they would know when the time comes." Ralph said, "But I think it will be a hat."
"Hat?!"*3
"Well, I've been dreaming about it, but I don't know the specific content." Ralph said.
"Is it so magical? Hat, what should I do?" Rock sighed.
"Of course I wear it." Hansen replied immediately.
"We'll know when the time comes, but I'm not sure. I think we should probably practice magic, starting with the floating spell." Claude said.
Ralph nodded and said: "Maybe it pulls us into a dream and tests us in the dream, so that we won't get hurt."
After finishing the conversation, the cheerful spell practice time began.
