Hogwarts: Wizards Supreme

Chapter 203 The Nature of Magic

Since the dance ended, there have been many inseparable pairs of male and female friends in the corridors of Hogwarts. Obviously, a hormonally turbulent dance has fulfilled many romantic relationships.

The relationship between Blaise and Treya became closer. They were inseparable all day long, and even stuck together when eating, which made Draco exclaim "forgetting friends after seeing sex".

Cedric and Cho Chang often walked up and down the corridor arm in arm. Krum and Hermione were not that close. To be honest, Hermione was studying day and night how to become the Minister of Magic. Driven by the great cause, hormones dropped to freezing point. Karkaroff, on the other hand, was on guard to prevent Hermione from leading his favorite student astray.

In the first week of vacation, almost everyone only focused on playing and making love with their lovers. It was not until the vacation was almost over that they thought of catching up on homework.

A large group of young wizards were sitting in the common room, engrossed in writing, where Blaise sighed and wrote his Potions paper, lamenting that homework was his biggest enemy in love.

"The homework is not, your gifts and surprises are!" Draco joked, "I think if you dared to send Treya Clark to the sky that day, she would probably be so happy that she would just slap your neck."

Daphne and her sisters covered their mouths and laughed. Since the dance, Daphne's attitude towards Brian has become much more normal, and she no longer acts like a little girl meeting her idol.

However, the way she looked at Brian was filled with curiosity and inquiry, and an aggressiveness that was eager to try, which made Brian a little unbearable.

He felt that things were going in a strange direction.

And participating in the dance brought him a small amount of witness points, which was really not satisfactory.

[Witness and participate in the Christmas dance, witness points +0.3×2]

Brian has now accumulated a total of 4.8 witness points. He knew that he should start to improve his magic level.

The increase in magic power level takes time to adapt to, and it also has certain requirements for his physical condition. Now he is not yet an adult, but he has also experienced more than a year of time using a time turner.

Coupled with the crazy addition of knowledge during this period, he was sure to control the skyrocketing magic power.

As he intervenes, the future becomes increasingly uncertain and he needs to gain more power.

The Christmas vacation was not over yet. One night, he came to the Room of Requirement. After careful consideration, he finally made up his mind.

Under Brian's thoughts, the witness point changed from 4.8 to 1.8, and the magic power directly changed from master to grandmaster level.

The surrounding air swirled around him like water flow. Brian closed his eyes and his body gradually rose into the air. Everything floated, floating up and down around him as if it had life.

Endless magic lines connected everything. He seemed to understand the nature of magic and something deeper.

The flames in the fireplace slowly turned light blue, sending out bursts of cold air, dissipating the warm heat in the room.

A seed caught in the book sprouted green buds in the air, pulled out delicate leaves, and finally bloomed into a small lavender flower, swaying with the flow of the air.

The flying book turned into a miniature phoenix, flapping its wings in the air and spitting out small flames from its mouth.

After the level of wandless spellcasting, which he had never practiced before, was slightly blurred, it was directly upgraded from "novice" to "mastery" level. Brian felt that if he practiced a little more, he would easily enter the mastery level.

His expression moved slightly, and he looked at the wicker chair flying past him. As he thought, the wicker chair grew green leaves again, and the vines snaked around the entire chair.

Brian closed his eyes, and the riot of magic slowly subsided. He fell to the ground again, and everything was piled on the ground randomly.

"The ultimate in magic is when your wishes come true." He sighed softly.

He understood that magic is a kind of idealistic power that does not care about physical rules or mysterious rules. As long as your magic power is enough, when you climb to the top, your wishes will come true.

Because of this, magic allows wizards to transcend time and space, make people live longer and even escape death, make things look different, and even disappear into nothingness...

"So, potions and alchemy are actually just aspects of magic, with different paths leading to the same goal." Brian thought calmly. On the panel, the potion level that had stuck with him for a long time changed slightly at this time, directly becoming master level.

"Do all your wishes come true? It's so attractive... No wonder so many people want to reach the ultimate level of magic, and do so at all costs, even dividing their souls and losing their humanity..." Brian felt a little emotional.

"But..." He touched the wicker chair and sighed softly, "Is it not allowed to resurrect from the dead?"

This wicker chair has long since lost all its vitality, and the vine branches that are now growing are just the product of the transfiguration spell, not making it come alive again.

"But, I have a feeling...it seems like Gamp's basic law of transformation can be broken..." Brian thoughtfully pulled out his wand and turned his inkwell into a piece of cream cake.

"Food cannot be transformed out of thin air because magic power cannot permanently act on it. When the magic power is exhausted, the transformation spell will become ineffective. But what if someone can permanently transform something? To truly change the essence of things, magic power is no longer needed. Maintain... Judging from what I felt just now, it is possible."

He looked at the product of his transformation, and then shook his head, feeling that his magic level had declined.

"It's not that I've regressed, but that I was in an inexplicable state when the magic rioted just now?" He thought, "It's impossible to reach that level now."

He looked at the cake and sighed softly, knowing that it would change back to its original state.

"However, there are indeed such examples, such as the magic stone, which can turn stone into gold... This truly changes the nature of things. The same is true for magic. After reaching a certain height, these will become simple things... …”

Brian raised the corners of his mouth slightly, and his eyes looked a little excited.

"The so-called basic magic rules, such as Gamp's basic transformation rules, are just a summary of experience. They have never reached that height, so they will not understand the higher scenery."

"However, the laws about life and death seem to be more stringent. At least I haven't found the possibility of resurrection from the dead..." Brian frowned, "But maybe I haven't reached that height yet."

"No matter what, this world is really amazing." Brian smiled meaningfully, "Every wish comes true...who wouldn't want to? I hope I still have time to see it."

"My current magic level is completely comparable to that of Dumbledore and the others..." Brian mused, "So, that special feeling just now... could it be a stronger level? I don't know that the ancient Death God, And Merlin, have they done it?"

"But..." Brian looked at his system panel. There was no "+" sign behind the column that represented magic power, which meant that it could no longer be upgraded.

"The system cannot reach a higher level... In other words, it is actually more like a shoddy product..." Brian frowned and thought, "Let's not talk about the possible secrets of Occlumency and Legilimency. Take magic for example..."

"My magic level is actually getting stronger with age. According to my calculations, the independent growth of magic power over such a long time should completely offset at least one or two witness points... But in fact , when I upgrade, I still calculate it according to the original consumption..."

"So, the witness point does not represent power, it is more like a key, constantly opening the treasure in the system... What I have been doing is just getting the key, and the treasure is already there." Brian The smile was a little cold, "Then, who wants to give these powers to me so easily?"

Brian closed his eyes and finally suppressed the surging thoughts.

He waved his wand and everything returned to its original place. Several items exploded, scattering wood chips and paper pages everywhere.

"I'm so ambitious..." Brian sweated, "Now I have to find a way to master my magic power..."

He didn't want to accidentally let his partner explode one day while practicing magic spells.

In that case, he would have no choice but to go on the run, or go straight to the dark side.

Brian packed his things and did not dare to recite the Illusion Charm to himself. Holding the Marauder's Map in one hand, he carefully avoided Filch and Mrs. Norris, as well as Peeves flying around in the corridor on the third floor, and quietly returned to the common room.

"It's like going back to first grade." Brian thought in a good mood.
