HP Approaches the Magic World

Chapter 86: Meeting with Professor Dumbledore

Things developed just as Jon expected.

After receiving the notice from Professor Sprout, Jon wrote a note to the professor and then continued to have dinner with Stephen.

"Going to the principal's office is a rare experience. You should cherish it."

Stephen winked as he watched Jon hand the finished note to the owl and said with a smile.

"This experience is for you, do you want it?"

Jon raised his hand and stuffed a piece of apple pie into Stephen's mouth: "Eat your food quickly, I still have to think about how to tell the principal about this."

"Tell the truth. What's so difficult about it? You can't lie in front of Principal Dumbledore."

"Of course it's not about lying, it's about telling the truth to the extent possible."

Jon knew that he was looking for protection this time, and he didn't want to be targeted by the dark wizards in America.

Forget it in school, those dark wizards don’t dare to come to school,

But,

During the holidays, it would not be so easy for him to hide away at home.

Given the efficiency of the Ministry of Magic, by the time they reacted, the dark wizards had already turned themselves into ashes and fled back to their hometown in America.

Jon didn't dare to put his life in their hands. Compared with this, it was very safe to seek protection from Dumbledore.

At least, Dumbledore is someone who likes to be proactive rather than passively defensive.

At seven o'clock in the evening, Jon arrived on the eighth floor on time.

After looking at the door of the principal's office countless times, he was still a little excited to actually go in and face Dumbledore this time.

After taking a few deep breaths, Jon felt that his heartbeat had stabilized, and then he walked to the guardian stone statue.

"Password."

"Lemon candy."

"correct answer."

The guardian stone lazily moved aside to make way for Jon.

Walking through the doorstep, Jon was about to raise his hand to knock on the door when the door opened from the inside.

Dumbledore, who was sitting behind his desk, smiled and looked at Jon standing at the door, adjusting the collar of his shirt with one hand.

"Come in, Mr. Smith."

Jon blinked and walked into the principal's office.

The walls on both sides are covered with portraits of past principals of Hogwarts.

The portraits of Godric and Helga are hung on both sides of the entrance, but there are no portraits of the two founders of Ravenclaw and Slytherin.

Just like Helga said,

Salazar took everything he owned,

Besides the Room of Requirement, Rowena left almost nothing behind.

Jon could hardly recognize any of the other principals. Except for two he had seen in Professor Sprout and Professor Flitwick's offices, he didn't recognize the rest.

Even though there were nameplates and introductions, Jon didn't recognize who these principals were.

"Good evening, Professor Dumbledore, just call me Jon."

The door behind him closed automatically, and Jon walked to the opposite side of Dumbledore and bowed slightly.

"Good evening, Jon, what's for dinner?"

"The lemonade is ready, thank you."

Dumbledore clapped his hands, and a glass of lemonade appeared in front of Jon, along with some snacks.

"I heard you encountered a little problem."

Dumbledore took out the box containing the pocket watch from the drawer and put it on the table: "What are the causes and consequences of this matter? I think you wouldn't mind telling me."

Of course Jon would not refuse.

Things have developed to this point, and there is no point in continuing to hide it.

So he slightly beautified the Black Musician's story, moved it a little ahead of time, and succinctly told the story from the discovery of Bane to the Black Musician's death.

Dumbledore was quite a gentleman when facing the students. Although some things were said briefly, Dumbledore did not interrupt Jon when he spoke, but just drank his own honey tea silently.

After Jon explained clearly what happened and the current situation, Dumbledore put down the tea cup in his hand, and the bottom of the cup fell on the table with a crisp sound.

"So what are your thoughts now?"

After listening, Dumbledore frowned and summed up:

"Do you want to deal with those dark wizards, or do you want them to never be able to approach you?

In my opinion, I still hope you can make some choices that are enough to ensure your life safety.

After all, you are not only a student of the school, but also a descendant of Hufflepuff, and the school should be responsible for your safety."

"You do know about this."

Jon was not surprised to hear this from Dumbledore.

When he entered the door, he had already discovered that the Helga in the portrait now was actually Helga in full state, not the ordinary magic portrait.

And when Jon decided to tell Dumbledore his identity, he and Helga studied how to tell Dumbledore about this issue.

"We didn't see each other outside last time, but it's not too late to meet now, isn't it?"

Dumbledore spoke a little slowly, sounding very comfortable: "I thought Helga had already told you about this."

He stood up, touched the table, and pulled out a large bag of popcorn.

"Try this, the snack I got from the Muggle world, you should like it."

"Oh, thank you."

Jon consciously grabbed the bag and ate the popcorn, and replied: "I haven't had a chance to talk to my ancestors in the lounge recently, so I don't know yet."

"That's it."

Dumbledore had no doubts, because Helga's portrait had told him these things before, and the two parties spoke in agreement.

"But in this matter, it would be best if you, the principal, can get rid of those dark wizards. After all, the holiday is coming soon, and it will be very troublesome if you are targeted by the dark wizards.

Moreover, I don’t want everyone to know my identity. To be honest with you, I just want to be an ordinary student.”

"This is natural. Speaking of which, it is difficult for students nowadays to have your attitude of not caring about fame. I still appreciate this attitude and hope you can continue to maintain it."

Dumbledore calmly pulled the bag back a little, grabbed a few popcorn with his dry fingers and stuffed it into his "beard": "Then, let me handle this matter, and I will definitely give you a satisfactory result."

's reply."

"Of course, of course, then I'll look forward to hearing from you."

Jon smiled and said, no matter what the matter is, as long as both parties reach an agreement, the rest will be much easier to handle.

"Hogwarts will not tolerate provocations from dark wizards. You can rest assured about this matter and prepare well for your final exam, Mr. Smith."

"Thank you for your advice."

Jon stood up and nodded slightly:

"Then, I'll leave first."
