Let You Popularize Hypnosis, Do You Shoot Inception?

Chapter 60 The Film Is All Finished! It Lasted 26 Days!

At this time, "Inception" has almost completed the production of all the films, and only a small prop is left unfinished.

And this prop is nothing but the shooting and production of "Penrose Stairs".

However, the film of this thing can be produced in a studio in Los Angeles.

On April 26, when Qin Feng returned to Los Angeles with the crew of "Inception", he immediately started filming and production in this area.

In the film, Cobb's main player, Arthur, leads Ali Redney in a shared dream environment.

A training exercise was conducted to explore the concept of paradoxical architecture together.

The shot was shot at the former Electronic Arts headquarters in west Los Angeles, mainly in its atrium.

Qin Feng built a staircase with infinite loops here.

This impossible object comes from the illusion that occurs when three-dimensional objects are depicted on a two-dimensional plane.

Known as the "Penrose Ladder", it was created by British mathematical physicist Roger Penrose and his father Lionel Penrose.

The "Penrose Staircase" can be seen as a variant of the "Penrose Triangle" created by Roger Penrose in the 1950s.

After referring to the visual preview, Qin Feng used scaffolding to build a quadrilateral spiral staircase on the atrium scene.

A 65mm camera was then placed on the end of the telescopic crane and used to capture high fidelity, large format detail.

From the perspective of the lifted vista, the uppermost level of the stairs is aligned with the lower level until the crane moves down, disrupting the optical illusion.

Finally, the site was surveyed, and the CG atrium was reconstructed through modeling, texturing, and lighting. The supporting scaffolding was digitally removed to create the feeling that the stairs were suspended in mid-air.

This made it necessary to predict which lenses to use, where to place the cameras, and how large the scene should be.

And whether the scene can be coordinated with the atrium whose front is full of glass.

Qin Feng did a main visual preview of the scene, which was the most accurate visual preview he had ever seen.

He designed the camera follow with a 50-foot-long telescopic boom that looks like a circular staircase from above.

The camera then pans down, showing that the stairs are not looping, but appear to be looping from a higher angle.

Another "Penrose Staircase" - a scene known as "Sub-Penrose" - appears in the second half of the film.

In the film, a guard is chasing after a dream in the stepwell of a hotel.

Qin Feng also made a main visual preview of this group of shots, and then made a spiral concrete ladder.

In order to show the forced perspective of the circular staircase, a dynamic lift shot was used for the filming.

Shoot first to escape the guards, then move to an overhead shot and run down the stairs that initially looked like the ground floor,

The camera then pans down to show that he was actually running down from a height and then stopped abruptly behind the guard.

Post-production expanded the stairwell and later pushed the guards into this stairwell.

In one night, Qin Feng finished the last segment of the film.

At this time, the entire film of "Inception" has been completed.

It lasted 26 days!

It was four days less than the month he expected!

In the early morning of the 27th, Qin Feng, who stayed up all night, and the Warner Bros. production team were in the Los Angeles studio.

The final version of the 148-minute film was edited out!

At six o'clock in the morning, I brought the finished film of "Inception".

Qin Feng returned to the dormitory of the film school and poured himself a cup of coffee.

Sit by the window, close the door, and draw the curtains.

A person in front of the computer, watching this nearly two hours of film.

As the first person in the world to watch this movie, Qin Feng couldn't help but wet his cheeks with tears after watching it.

To be honest, this is completely different from how he felt watching this movie when he was on Earth.

In this world, every minute, every second, and even every frame of Inception.

They were all made by him, and it can be said that it took 26 days and nights of hard work.

However, the final result did not disappoint Qin Feng and all the crew of "Inception".

After Qin Feng watched the finished film, he felt that it was not very similar to the film from the Earth period.

Simply the same!

Qin Feng started watching it at six in the morning on the 27th. After watching the film from start to finish, he didn't miss a second.

It was half past eight in the morning when he watched the full movie.

Qin Feng then took a deep breath and slowly turned off the computer screen.

Nearly a month of hard work has finally paid off.

He finally gave the world an excellent film!

Then Qin Feng closed his eyes and fell asleep on the bed.

He hadn't slept much in more than a month, and this time, he slept very sweetly.

In his sleep, he seemed to see the scene of "Inception" when it was released.

Los Angeles is full of people, and there is a long line of people in front of the cinema...

When he slowly opened his eyes from the bed, he found that it was already six o'clock the next morning.

In this sleep, he slept for 24 hours!

When he turned on the muted phone, he found that his phone had blown up, and countless calls and messages flooded in.
