North American Gunslinger Detective
Chapter 192 College Learning Happy National Day
(There will be several pictures of the academy learning process later, and there will be a lot of training-related content)
After the physical fitness test is over, Jimmy and the others in the new academy will be divided into groups. The quasi-agents and quasi-intelligence analysts will cooperate with each other and conduct subsequent training together, so that the roles of both parties can better cooperate and communicate in the future.
FBI agents are not all-powerful hexagonal warriors. Everyone has their own specialties. For intelligence analysts, there will be more training content related to analyzing intelligence, while prospective agents will have more simulated actual combat content.
When the formal training course began, Jimmy discovered that the number of students in this batch was not large. What he had learned before was that there were approximately a few hundred to a thousand FBI trainees in each batch, and in the end about 70-80% would successfully graduate and be employed.
Admission.
Jimmy and his team have very few students in this period, only a few dozen. Compared with the usual students in the first period, these dozens of people are too few now. The training instructors feel that there are almost more students than there are students.
In the next five months, Jimmy and his fellow trainees will learn shooting, fighting, tactical training, CQB training, driving training and other skill training, as well as participate in professional courses and moral education, etc.
FBI agents have to learn much more content than the police academy. Just understanding the content is a headache. They have to complete all the content in just 5 months, which puts higher requirements on the students' memory and concentration.
.
Professional courses include courses in law, ethics, behavioral science, interviewing and writing reports, reconnaissance, intelligence, interrogation, evidence collection, etc. You also need to learn the practical skills and standard procedures required in case handling such as witness protection and informant protection.
The legal aspect is mainly training related to federal law, the U.S. Constitution and legal procedures. If there are problems with the search procedures, the evidence obtained may be refused to be recognized by the court, which is a big problem.
Moral education is mainly about learning to protect the public and prevent the abuse of rights, because the law enforcement power of FBI agents is too powerful. If there are no moral restrictions, the consequences will be very serious for ordinary people, because they can arrest people and send them to prison at will.
These contents were popularized by the college supervisors and counselors before the study, so that everyone can be mentally prepared. Learning so much content in 5 months is bound to not be easy.
This is the first time Jimmy has received professional course training. He is very attentive. In addition, he is in good spirits now. When he was studying in community college, he found that his memory is very good, so he can remember the law and case-related content in the professional course very quickly.
, for students like Jimmy who love to learn, obviously the agents who trained also like it very much. This is basically equivalent to giving Jimmy a green light. He can ask some questions when he has nothing to do, and he has basically never been rejected.
Jimmy doesn't have that big advantage in skill training. The first thing is firearms. Jimmy is good at revolvers, while the FBI trains semi-automatic pistols Glock 19, semi-automatic rifles M4, and shotguns, which are generally not used as long as you know how to use them.
The FBI's standard gun is the Glock 19, which is really not a good thing for Jimmy. As a quasi-agent, Jimmy must practice shooting well.
In the first firearms class, at the indoor shooting range, Jimmy and a dozen students were already lined up, and a special agent stood in front of Jimmy and the students.
"Good morning, fellow students. I am Special Agent Buddy. This is your first firearms class. I will introduce your future main weapons and shooting points. After that, other agents will instruct you on shooting postures and firearms.
Breaking it down. I know many of you have military or police backgrounds, but to make sure everyone is familiar, let's start from the same starting point.
Note that when you get lethal weapons and have guns in your hands, your mentality will definitely change and you will have a lot of psychological pressure. These must be slowly eliminated through a lot of training and practical application scenarios.
People can help you, but you can only experience it yourself.
The first is the Glock 19M, which is a special version produced specifically for the FBI. It is also the standard gun for FBI special agents. When you graduate from the academy, each of you will receive one as your carry-on gun.
Our training starts with basic safety rules:
1. Treat all guns as if they are loaded with bullets
2. Keep your finger off the trigger until you want to press it
3. Don’t point a gun at anyone unless there is a legitimate reason
For those of you who have served in the military or police, you should be familiar with the use of firearms, but the actions of our FBI agents are very different from what you have done before.
As FBI agents, we usually have enough time to plan our arrests and locate suspects. Most of our operations are conducted in the early morning. If you are going to arrest someone, you can almost guarantee that they will be around 5 a.m.
At home, so it's dark a lot of the time, we use weapons without much light.
In addition to normal firearms practice, everyone must learn to aim and fire with a flashlight, must learn to aim and fire under flashing police lights, and must learn to reload and load a pistol in a dark environment.
Due to the scenarios in which our firearms are used, it is very likely that the suspect will appear in front of you at a very close distance. In order to fight back, in some cases we must shoot from the waist. This is what you need to train. Use your left hand to fend off the suspect, and your right hand to hold the gun at your waist.
After shooting, use normal shooting posture.
Later, other agents will train you on how to use the Glock 19M, so get ready."
The students have been divided into groups. There are only a dozen people taking the firearms class with Jimmy. Because there were hundreds of students in the previous batch, so for this batch of only dozens of students, the academy's special agents are particularly numerous.
These dozen would-be agents enjoyed one-on-one training from the academy's special agents.
Jimmy has a foundation in firearms and has been using Beretta 92F before. He has never used the Glock series. The instructor who trained him explained the key points and firearm operations to him in detail. After that, Jimmy started his own 20-meter target training.
Thanks to his previous experience, Jimmy got started quickly.
The trigger safety of the Glock 19M is in a different position and operates differently from the thumb safety of the Beretta 92F. Although it is the first time for Jimmy to use it, the operation of the trigger safety of the Glock is very smooth. After practicing a few rounds of bullets, he has already adapted to the pattern.
Locke's two-stage trigger.
What he is practicing now is a 20-meter chest target. Jimmy's hit rate is pretty good. Judging from the gunfire from other targets around him, it is obvious that most of Jimmy's students have a relatively good foundation. Only three or four of them seem to be accurate intelligence.
personnel, they are still familiarizing themselves with firearms.
The FBI academy is very conscientious. They provide everyone with 2 boxes of bullets. You are not afraid of shooting too much. The only problem is that each student only has one gun and one magazine, and they need to load their own bullets. This is a huge restriction.
Jimmy's experience.
The large capacity of 17+1 rounds ensures continuous fire suppression. If multiple magazines are filled with bullets in advance, the short-term burst of firepower is definitely better than the 92F Jimmy used before. The trigger safety also makes it easier for them to take out the gun from the holster.
You can shoot directly without operating the safety. After entering the 21st century, nearly half of the police departments in the United States began to replace Glock as their police firearms. It is based on these advantages.
