Afterwards, the outside world began to continuously drop mechanical hunters into the city to hunt and kill all living creatures, be they survivors or zombies, and throw them directly into the garbage mountain at the bottom after they were caught.
The protagonist played by the player wakes up in the rubbish mountain. He doesn't remember what he has experienced. In order to survive, he can only keep climbing up.
The voice heard on the radio is actually a researcher from a laboratory in the city. As the plot progresses, the player can communicate with the researcher by radio to learn the location of some laboratories in the city and how to use various equipment.

As the plot progresses, the player continues to move upwards and toward the area where the researcher is located. In the process, the player learned from the researcher that the zombie plague in the city did not occur naturally, but a virus researched by the big shots from the outside world with a special plant spore through a biological company.

This also explains why people outside cannot control the spread of the virus, but they can decisively block the city, so that the impact of the virus is limited to the city; why people outside did not choose to destroy the city with nuclear bombs, but spent more Funds to build walls and drop hunters.
Because for the high-level outsiders, they knew about the virus as early as the first time it leaked.

That's why the protagonist has a strong recovery ability, and he won't die if he falls from a height.
The researcher said excitedly that the protagonist is the most perfect state of this virus, which is also the ideal of virus research: to realize the evolution of human life forms.
Before meeting the protagonist, the researcher hopes that someone can take these materials to the outside world and reveal the truth of the events in this city to the world.
But after meeting the perfect example of the protagonist, he changes his mind.
This researcher believes that these materials can be used to blackmail those big figures who conduct virus research, and use the truth and perfect sample experimental data as bargaining chips in exchange for huge wealth that cannot be spent in this lifetime.
Of course, the premise of doing this is to return to the laboratory at the junction of the middle and upper floors to obtain the virus prototype, serum and research materials.
At this point, the protagonist controlled by the player will face different choices.
The first option is to give these things to the researchers.
The researchers will contact the outside world and put forward conditions to those big shots. But soon, the special operations team arrived and shot the researcher dead on the spot. These special soldiers with live ammunition continue to capture the protagonist.
If the player fails to escape, a "nuclear draw" will be triggered. On the helicopter going back, the protagonist exploded with force and attacked the pilot, causing the plane to crash. All data, virus prototypes and serums were destroyed, and the protagonist also died in the explosion.
Since the city no longer has what the outsiders need, they decided to drop a nuclear bomb on the city, making the city completely disappear from the world.
If the player escapes successfully, the "Wanderer's Ending" will be triggered. The special operations team failed to capture the protagonist, but after getting the experimental data, virus prototype and serum, those big shots will not give up the opportunity to capture the perfect sample of the protagonist, so in the future, the protagonist will continue to wander in the city, avoiding zombies , hunters, and special operations teams hunted down, and just kept wandering like this.
The second option is not to give these things to the researchers, but to dispose of them themselves.
At this point the researcher will be incapacitated and furious, but the player can ignore it. When I go to the research institute after a while, I will find that the researcher who has been hiding in XZ seems to have left the research institute and wanted to search for the protagonist, but he was attacked by zombies and turned into unconscious zombies before he went far.
Next, the protagonist can use the experimental instruments and various communication devices in the laboratory.
Three different props correspond to three different endings.
Inject yourself with serum, eliminate the virus in your body and turn back into a human, and send a distress signal to the outside world, then you can hide among the survivors and leave the city, and return to human society without being noticed by those big shots. From then on, you can be an ordinary person. Man goes on with his life. This is the "Survivor" ending.
Choosing to publish the research data and reveal the truth of the whole incident will lead to crazy revenge. Those big figures sent a large number of troops in anger. The protagonist died in dealing with them, but it aroused people's sense of resistance and made the situation turbulent. . This is the "Martyr's End".
If you choose to inject yourself with a virus prototype, you can evolve yourself again and become a super zombie with extremely strong self-healing ability, strength and speed. They climbed over the wall, escaped from the city, and entered normal human society. This is the "evolutionary ending".
Of course, in addition to these main endings, the fate of those NPCs will also be different, but these will not be explained in detail in the game, and can only be made up by the players themselves.
These endings are actually hinted in the previous fragmented plots, and players can roughly infer them.
However, based on the current suffering progress of the players, it may take a long time to figure out the full ending.
