Primordial Sin System

286 Chapter 286 -Entering the mystical door

Chapter 286 -Entering the mystical door

Inside the dark chamber, a man sat upon a throne made of bones, his slumber interrupted as he opened his eerie, dark eyes.

"Tsk, one of the demon princes has perished. What a waste," he muttered, his thoughts hidden behind his sinister gaze. Soon enough, he closed his eyes again, as if nothing had occurred.

...

Dave, Yudi, and the emperor stood before a colossal door adorned with mystical inscriptions. Unable to decipher the ancient text, Dave's curiosity piqued. There were no records of such words in the empire's library.

Noticing Dave's intrigue, the emperor provided an explanation, "This door existed long before our empire was established. No one knows who created it, but it will open automatically when the time is right. Beyond lies the sacred spring, capable of transforming ordinary individuals, endowing them with unparalleled talents."

He spoke with pride, recounting his own transformation from weakness to a level where he transcended any bottleneck, reaching the rank of Imperial Saint King. Grateful for the profound change the sacred spring brought to his life, he shared that many had coveted this place, yet all those who sought it suffered misfortune, which often extended to their families.

While the place carried an aura of mystery, other families experienced the curse of bad luck. However, the Fexir Family remained unaffected, as their ancestors had realized that as long as they harbored no ill intentions toward the sacred spring, the curse would spare them. The first and second princes had previously entered the sacred spring, experiencing significant power growth and gaining extraordinary talents.

Dave marveled at the accounts and felt an eagerness to enter the door. Turning to the system, he asked if it could translate the ancient texts.

[Ding! 100,000 Sin Points], the system responded, and Dave promptly agreed.

[Ding! Translating....]

[Ding! Completed]

[Spirit Realm]

Dave stood astounded by the revelation. He sought further information from the system, willing to spend more sin points.

[Ding! The Spirit Realm is one of the higher realms within the celestial plane. It is inhabited by fairies, elves, dryads, and nature spirits.]

[Warning: This is a dangerous place. Please exercise caution when entering.]

Dave never expected such a profound secret behind this door. Suddenly, the emperor produced the insignia of his royal family, causing the door to swing open.

"Please enter, but be warned, you can only stay inside for five hours, after which the door will close automatically," the emperor cautioned. Dave nodded, leaving Yudi outside as only one person could enter at a time.

Dave stepped through the door, instantly sensing a change in the environment. He felt relieved to still see the exit and the ability to return whenever he pleased.

However, as soon as he entered, an immense force immobilized him, causing Dave to cough up blood as he was slammed into the ground.

"What just happened?" Terrified, he hadn't anticipated encountering a formidable entity so soon after entering. Although he believed he could escape even in a dangerous situation, he sensed his entire body being suppressed, unable to use his phasing or any space-related abilities.

"Heehee, a demonic aura! I never imagined demons would brazenly infiltrate our Spirit Realm," a beautiful voice resounded. Dave realized a stunning woman sat upon his body, muttering to herself.

Dave's eyes widened, unable to discern the woman's power. His demonic nature was easily detected by her.

"Who are you?" he asked, his face creased in a frown, trying to maintain his composure.

The woman peered at him curiously, pinching his face before replying, "Wow, you're more handsome than some of the elves I've encountered in my life. It's a pity you're a naughty demon."

Despite her beauty, the woman appeared youthful, around 17 to 18 years old, radiating a playful aura. Adorned with long green hair, yellow eyes, and glowing green aura, she possessed two pairs of blue fairy wings.

Dave attempted to scan her, but the pain searing through his eyes forced him to halt. However, since the woman hadn't killed him outright, he recognized a glimmer of hope.

"I am not a demon," Dave calmly asserted, his captivating blue eyes lending weight to his words.

"Really?" The woman's large eyes blinked inquisitively. Dave nodded, responding, "My physical appearance is a result of a fortuitous encounter, but I am undoubtedly human."

Stunned, the woman scrutinized him once more, realizing he resembled other humans who had entered the Spirit Realm before.

"But how can you prove you're not a demon?" she questioned, her voice laced with fear. "Grandma told me that demons are deceitful and will devour me if they capture me."

Dave saw an opportunity amid her apprehension. "If you remove the restrictions you placed on me, I can demonstrate that I am not a demon."

The woman contemplated for a moment, eventually nodding and lifting the restrictions. Dave felt his body regain mobility, relief washing over him. He waved his hand and summoned Gabriella.

Swoosh!

The ethereal angel materialized before him, addressing the woman, "This angel is one of my subordinates. I hope her presence is sufficient proof that I am not a demon."

The fairy gazed at Gabriella, who, through Dave's telepathic message, understood the situation. She nodded and replied, "Spirit princess!"

She bowed respectfully, acknowledging the woman's status.

"Wow, an angel! You know me?" the beautiful fairy asked, clearly surprised. Gabriella nodded and explained, "I've heard that spirits with two pairs of glowing wings are spirit princess or prince. With proper nurturing, they have the potential to become spirit queens or kings."

Gabriella possessed knowledge befitting her status as a top-ranked race. In her previous life, she might have held disdain for the spirits, considering herself a 6-winged archangel capable of matching demon lords. However, the current situation requires a more subtle approach.

"You really aren't a demon," the beautiful fairy sighed in relief, her demeanor softening. "Why are you here?"

Realizing that he was accompanied by an angel, she understood that the man before her couldn't possibly be a demon. It was highly improbable for a demon and an angel to be friends, unless there were extenuating circumstances.

Dave smiled and explained the truth about the door and the sacred spring.

"Oh! So you're one of those who sought to enter the sacred spring," she remarked, giving him a peculiar look that conveyed her disdain.

"Well, that sacred spring is not really sacred at all. It's actually the urine of Drumon the Giant Druid," she disclosed, causing Dave to be taken aback. He now realized that even the druid's urine possessed miraculous properties.
