Primordial Sin System

287 Chapter 287 - The Lonely Fairy

Chapter 287 - The Lonely Fairy

"So, there's no sacred spring?" Dave asked, feeling disheartened by the prospect of its nonexistence.

The fairy smiled mischievously and replied, "The sacred pool does exist, and I am its guardian. But why would I allow you to enter?"

She smirked, showing that she had grown into an adult who couldn't be easily fooled.

Dave was stunned, uncertain of how he could persuade her. She possessed great strength, rendering his charm and Sin of Lust useless against her.

"Sigh, it seems I'll leave empty-handed," Dave muttered in resignation. He waved his hand, allowing Gabriella to enter his personal space. He instructed the system to automatically teleport him to his private space if the fairy attempted to restrain him once more. With this safety measure in place, he no longer feared her and decided it was best to leave, considering the danger of this place.

Seeking reassurance, Dave consulted the system, which assured him that his personal space was the safest haven. No one could enter it unless he permitted it. Caught off guard earlier, he hadn't had the chance to retreat to his personal space. However, now that he was prepared and had the means to escape, he no longer feared the fairy's power.

"So what if you're strong? I'll come back when I'm stronger and show you how strong my dragon" Dave resolved inwardly.

Deciding to depart, Dave caught the fairy off guard. She had anticipated him pleading and trying to convince her to allow him access to the pool. She would have permitted his entry if he had flattered her ego, but she hadn't anticipated his prideful nature.

As the bearer of the Sin of Pride, Dave refused to bow down in such a situation, coming to a realization that reaffirmed his determination.

Dave stood by the door, ready to depart from the mysterious realm, when the fairy called out to him, causing him to pause.

"Wait!" she exclaimed, surprising Dave. He turned to look at her, his face filled with confusion.

"Why?" he questioned, genuinely curious about her intentions.

The fairy's face showed amazement as she replied, "Are you really leaving just like that, without even asking for more?"

Dave nodded and said, "Well, if there's nothing to gain here, it's better to move on."

He recognized the immense strength possessed by the fairy, surpassing even that of a True Saint. Dealing with such a formidable opponent made him realize the importance of prioritizing his own safety.

With his decision made, Dave teleported closer to the door. However, the fairy swiftly pursued him, desperately trying to catch him before he could escape.

"Please don't go," she pleaded, her actions revealing her reluctance to let him leave.

Dave was taken aback, caught off guard by her sudden change of heart. Before he could react, the fairy closed the distance between them effortlessly.

Her hands reached out, almost touching him, but the system swiftly transported his entire body to his space world, evading her grasp.

"What?" the fairy exclaimed, stunned by Dave's unexpected escape. She searched the surroundings for him, but after five minutes of fruitless searching, she realized he was nowhere to be found.

Overwhelmed by disappointment, she sat on the ground and began sobbing like a child. "Whah! I'm alone again... huhu."

Dave, observing her from within the space world, witnessed her actions. He was still unable to leave, trapped in a different plane and unable to teleport directly back to the Fexir Empire. He decided to wait for the fairy to leave before reappearing and making his way through the door. However, her tears caught him off guard.

"Please don't leave. I'll let you enter the sacred spring and won't try to catch you again," she pleaded through her tears.

Dave didn't expect her sudden change in attitude. Sensing an opportunity, he decided to take a gamble.

"Why were you crying like that?" he asked, his voice soothing, and his handsome face exuding calmness. It was a combination that had often proven effective in calming the women he encountered.

...

Underneath a tree, Dave and the fairy, Tracy, sat on the grass. Tracy, the daughter of the Fairy King, revealed that she was a prodigious talent who had reached the Peak of Divine Monarch at just a hundred years old.

She shared her knowledge of the realms beyond the True Saint, listing them as follows:

[Saint Sovereign]

[Heavenly Sovereign]

[Divine Monarch]

[Divine Emperor]

[Celestial Immortal]

Tracy proudly mentioned that her father was a Peak Celestial Immortal, granting her the freedom to do as she pleased. However, her rebellious actions had led to her father punishing her and confining her to this realm.

To escape, she needed to reach the level of Divine Emperor.

While she remained confined, she never anticipated stumbling upon a hidden portal in her search for something intriguing. To her dismay, she was unable to access it. Initially dismissing the door as useless, the passage of years left her bored and disinterested. However, her monotony was shattered when a human unexpectedly entered the premises. Filled with joy, she yearned to learn more about this individual, swiftly overpowering them and delving into their memories.

Through this act, she gleaned a wealth of knowledge, prompting her to guide the unwitting visitor towards the supposed sacred spring within the druid's dwelling. Relishing the amusement she derived from fooling them, boredom drove her actions. The prospect of companionship excited her, although she soon realized they couldn't remain within this realm for long. History had shown that anyone she compelled to stay beyond a day met a gruesome demise, their souls violently obliterated.

Subsequently, she opted to allow them entry, continuing to deceive them about the nature of the alleged sacred spring. Gradually, her interest in their presence waned, and she slumbered for five centuries until she detected the arrival of Dave. His soul emitted an unusually radiant aura, leading her to believe he could withstand a lengthier stay. Intrigued by the possibility of having someone to converse with, she sought to ensnare him. However, her detection revealed his demonic bloodline, compelling her to subdue him.

Originally, her intention was to capture him to alleviate the tedium of her cultivation, but Dave possessed a means of escape, leaving her in despair. The thought of enduring countless years before another visitor arrived proved unbearable.
