Red Heart Survey

Volume 1 Summary and Reflections

Put pen to paper and write the last word of the first volume "The Bright Moon Is in the Sky".

I have tried to summarize the writing of this volume.

"Red Heart Survey" is the first online novel I created. For me, no matter where I write, my hard work and creative pursuit will not change.

Even because the network serialization requires a larger volume, I actually consume more energy.

Back to the Red Heart Survey.

[In the first chapter, I obviously made the mistake of a newcomer on the Internet. I didn't advance the plot and show the protagonist in the first place, so as to attract Internet readers who are used to fast-paced novels. 】

I used more than 7,000 words to describe in detail a high-level battle that took place in Zhuangguo, and in this battle, the protagonist was just an spectator. (After many revisions, one or two hundred words were deleted each time, and now it is difficult to delete more than 6,000 words...)

The original intention is to show part of the combat system of this world first, so that readers can have a preliminary understanding of the power level of Chixin Sky Survey. At the same time, bury some lines that will not be used after a long time.

Grass-snake-gray-lines and thousands-of-miles of veins are the structural techniques I admire.

Huahua in the group is also the second leader of this book. She is very nice.

She helped me summarize some issues that should be paid attention to in online articles, and made some suggestions.

For example, the part about beggars in the first chapter can be deleted.

But at the end of the volume, everyone should know that the group of beggars were sacrifices to the Tao of Bones in the first place. From the first chapter, I buried the clues of the ending of the first volume.

As an author, I can’t directly tell her the reason before I finish writing this, and I don’t want to affect her reading enjoyment as a reader.

But in fact, what she said is something that fits the online literature market.

Internet readers, how many clues do you have to foreshadow after reading hundreds of thousands of words?

There are many details like this.

That's why when Zhang Linchuan put on the mask, everyone suddenly realized that he was the bone messenger.

Does anyone remember Miaoyu's first appearance in Zhenguan, where was the man who talked to her? With a handkerchief, cleanliness. Isn't it one of Zhang Linchuan's symbols?

In online reading, readers are used to looking at ten lines at a glance, skimming quickly, and probably won't pay attention to such details.

But it doesn't matter, as long as even one reader notices this surprise, my hard work will not be in vain.

Some people criticize me, saying that writing online novels is selling commodities, and online literature is commodity literature. Wish I could see reality.

I'm very much acknowledging the reality.

So far, the average is only over 60, what is the reality that I am not clear about?

Some readers advised me that pursuing one's own literary pursuits in online novels is something one does only after becoming famous.

I understand very well the care for me in these words.

But for a novel of the size of Chixin Xuntian, it takes a year or two to finish writing a novel.

How many two years do I have to try and how many years to waste?

For me, if it's just purely earning money for two years, it's a waste.

Because what I have never pursued is not to be a successful businessman.

I want to make money, there are many ways.

If I want literature, there is only one way to go.

Of course, even now, this novel cannot turn around.

...

Back to the creation itself.

At the end of the first chapter, I let the main character appear. In the first chapter, a lot of space is used to describe Zuo Guanglie who may only appear this time.

As far as the creation of web serials is concerned, this is undoubtedly a huge mistake.

Bad grades now punish me too.

I can't justify my selfishness.

But I can talk about my selfishness.

——It's all because of the love for the character Zuo Guanglie.

In the eyes of readers, Zuo Guanglie is just a flash, to set off the existence of Li Yizhi who is powerful and beheaded by a sword.

But in the world of Chixin Sky Survey, the protagonist Jiang Wang will live under his light for a long time.

He is a genius born only once in hundreds of years. He is powerful, proud, compassionate, and sincere.

He only played this once, but he lit up a sky.

I can't bear to take it with me.

I have to admit this mistake, but I tried several times to correct it, but in the end I couldn't convince myself to correct this "error".

I was wrong, I will change it in the next book.

If there is another one.

...

[The second problem with the Chixin Sky Survey is the slow pace. 】

I spent a lot of pen and ink on the human fireworks, on the details, and on the little people.

Without those triumphant advances whose eyes are all on the protagonist, a lot of readers have been lost as a result.

When I write Chixin Sky Survey, I don't just write a story, I hope to build a relatively complete world.

Without those human fireworks, the world would not be real enough.

Without those plain and lovely years, it is not enough to be a sad and painful past.

Without those knowing smiles, I couldn't bring myself to cry.

Don't you need a process to build a relationship? To build trust, don't you need to run in?

A few words can connect life and death, and will never change until death. Can it really convince readers?

I'm my own first reader and it didn't convince me in the first place.

I believe that my idea is not wrong, but maybe I should make more efforts for my pursuit.

How to express details more movingly with less words. Thereby freeing up room and strengthening the rhythm.

This is the part I will strengthen next.

At the end of the volume, I just cut a lot of the branches. Including the part of the matchmaking battle in the Illusory Realm, the foreword of Fang Dabeard, the chief general of the City Guard Army, and so on.

This foreword by Fang Dabeard can continue to enrich the details of the Fang family, a large family with a surname, and at the same time make his death in battle more moving. It would be a pity to cut it off.

But the addition of other branches can hardly support the story of that period of time. Not exciting enough.

For the sake of the overall rhythm, a trade-off has to be made.

...

[The third problem with the Chixin Sky Survey is that there are not enough refreshments, and they are not dense enough. 】

This is a question that many people criticize.

Does it feel better? Of course there is.

Is it cool or not? Natural and transparent.

But not enough, not dense enough. And the protagonist is so weak.

This is where many readers are disappointed.

And for me.

I can't convince myself that in a real world, there will be a steady stream of weak little tricks to abuse the protagonist brainlessly.

Let's not talk about a world where extraordinary power has developed for countless years, just the real world.

When you were in high school, would it be the constant stream of elementary school students who would be in conflict with you?

They are often classmates who are taller and stronger than you, often your seniors, or even social youth.

When you are weak, what usually happens is how to avoid conflicts with those powerful beings, how to leverage strength, and how to strengthen yourself.

Only when you are strong can the story of pushing eight hundred miles alone can happen.

It’s not that I can’t write such a cool feeling. In the name of God, it’s a short story that burns from beginning to end. In a long story like Journey to the West, Sun Wukong’s every shot is enough to burn,

Just looking at the sentence "Pushing eight hundred miles alone" is already very cool, isn't it?

It's just growing up, that's not real enough.

This is what I understand, the reality of the world.

Some people also said that the realm of cultivation, the ninth rank, the eighth rank and the seventh rank are too unimmortal, and it is too brain-dead.

I……

I have spent a lot of time building a practice system, from Youmai, Zhoutian, Tongtian, Tenglong, Neifu, Wailou, Shenlin...

Along the way, each realm has a detailed description and a wonderful process. I believe it is logical and self-consistent, on this basis, I hope it is also magnificent and wonderful.

The reason why I used several grades and grades to explain it is just for the convenience of readers to quickly understand the level of practice.

In order to pursue the truth, the realm of practice follows the perspective of the protagonist step by step. Before that, I am afraid that readers will not have the impression of these realms.

This point may not please readers, but at least it can explain that I did not crash into online novels without knowing anything, as many people have criticized.

I have considered the feelings of Internet readers.

...

outside of these issues.

I think the ending of the first volume is quite perfect, and I give myself a nine out of ten.

Score one point less because there is not enough time to refine it.

At the end, there were a lot of shot cuts, and I pushed every shot to its limit within the time frame.

There are many, many characters appearing like a lantern, but I have expressed what I want to express.

Some clips cannot be split, but can only be broken up on the time axis. Some fragments must be coherent and can only bridge spatial lines.

Such a complex of characters, timelines, and spacelines, I collected them and unfolded them in an orderly manner.

I did my best so far.

From the cultivator of the Criminal Investigation Division who committed suicide to send a letter, the old gentleman who stood in front of the students, the Fenglin City soldier who collapsed and jumped to the ground...from these characters who don't even have names, to characters with names and surnames, to the early stage characters. important supporting role.

Each of them has their own flesh and blood and their own lives.

Their spirit, will, love and hate, trade-offs are clearly shown to the readers.

I am very satisfied.

The last time I tried this was when I wrote about the disaster of the blue bird at dawn. Qinghou sets up a trap to kill Duke Yingli, and Chu Ou is tricked into liberating the real dragon.

Compared with that time, the Chixin Sky Survey has more characters, a wider field of vision, and more difficulty.

This kind of large-screen group portrait show, every time there is an additional character, the difficulty will be much more difficult.

But I'm still done.

The improvement in writing ability is the place that makes me most happy.

On the layout of the article.

The truth about the history of the Zhuang Kingdom, the history of the Human Race and the Shui Race, the Kaimai Pill and the beasts, and the Bone Path are all peeled off layer by layer.

In the end, Fenglin city sank into the netherworld, and Jiang Wangyuan left for a foreign country. This ending had already been foreshadowed outside Zhenguan.

The plan of the Bone Road and the choice of the Zhuang family as a state power run through the entire volume.

As big as one country and one family, as small as one city and one person, in the context of a world of great contention, in the collision of ideals and reality, they all need to make their own choices.

All the pits were filled so tightly that the dead bodies could not get up.

And the foreshadowing planted in the first chapter, I haven't used up yet. The so-called Fumai thousands of miles, now only a few mountains.

In terms of shaping group portraits, I think I have made progress compared to before.

But what the result is, I still need readers to tell me.

There are many characters that I am impressed with, but I just don't know which ones are more liked by readers.

...

The last three words in the first chapter are Kaimaidan.

Someone sprayed me: "You wrote so much and worked so hard, and finally gave me a 'Kaimai Pill'?"

if not?

Two dragons are fighting in front of you, both of them will be hurt, and a piece of magic weapon will be released for you, okay?

I will not cheat too much on the protagonist. Although this is just a novel, it is also a world in my heart.

A real world where you have to work hard to be successful!

As a thing, it doesn't seem precious enough.

But it is the beginning of Jiang Wang's practice path, the beginning of the rise of the human race's practice, and the beginning of this story.

I finished the first volume with 350,000 words, laying the foundation for the world of Chixin Sky Survey.

I am confident that I can build a magnificent world on this basis.

But I need readers to support me, so that I will not starve to death on the road of moving bricks and walls.

Many people may not know that when writing online articles at the starting point, they must also own the copyright of all short stories during the serialization period of the author. It's nothing to others.

For me, that meant that while writing The Heart Survey, I didn't have any income other than the book.

Because my original job was to write drafts, write columns, write short stories, and write scripts.

I wrote Chixin Sky Survey with the determination to make no money for a whole year.

There is no good news other than to be thankful that you have broken up long ago and not have to think about your guilt towards your partner.

...

One day I saw someone in the reader group say——

"Current authors are too impatient. If a book has more than 100,000 words and tens of thousands of recommendations, it will be said that the grade is not good, and it must be cut off immediately. I really want to catch them and let them learn from Ah Shi."

This topic is actually quite sad, because until now, my novel has only been recommended by 4,000. The collection just broke 1,000. The average order is in the sixties.

I wrote 350,000 words with guaranteed quality and quantity!

And I'm still lighting a lamp and cooking oil to write.

In the past, when I wrote entities, I only wrote five days a week, and I only wrote 2,000 words a day. The rest of the time rests and nourishes the brain.

Now I write at least 5,000 words every day, and I haven't had a break for more than a month.

The mind is very excited, but also very tired.

I actually understand those authors very well.

If you regard writing novels as a simple job or business.

In fact, this is very reasonable.

Because only performance and income need to be considered.

For online articles, it is very slim to have no grades during the new book period, because you will not have follow-up recommendations, and the sunk cost of writing it down is too high.

Cut it off, change the number, and change the book. Then change the number, and then change the book. Choose the best one and write it down. That's how business should be.

There is no need to wait until more than 100,000 words, the editor should have cut it when he recommended it to Liangmen for the first time.

but.

What if it's not just a job, if writing fiction isn't just about making money, it's actually your dream?

Sorry, I... can't cut it.

This sorry, I said to myself.

There are simple columns to write, and the deposit is called in advance. There are simple hydrology to write, as long as I am willing to use this pseudonym, cover my head and pour water, I can publish and get paid directly. Not to mention those soft advertisements that can be released in a few clicks.

I had many easy paths to take, but I chose the hardest one.

I put myself in the most painful situation.

Just for the simplest reason.

A reason that one or many people no longer believe.

because of love.

I love the characters I write about, and I love the world I create.

Everything I do, all the long distances I travel, are for the love in my heart.

For this love.

I'm willing to put in more effort, and wait.

...

The name of the first volume is "The Bright Moon is in the Sky."

The bright moon can be ideal, it can be love, it can be hometown.

"It's like the moon, when can I stop?"

From Cao Cao's "Duan Ge Xing".

"The bright moon is so bright, when can I pick it up?"

Like Jiang Wang, I have my own pursuits and ideals, my own love and hatred, and my hometown in my heart.

And the name of the next volume is——

"From then on, I have no heart to love Good Night."
