Self-cultivation of the traveler of the world
Chapter 10 Horse Stance
Horse stance is the basis of all traditional learning. Horse stance is not only for training leg strength, but more importantly for people to develop muscle memory with roots under their feet.
Don’t underestimate the short four words “There is a root under your feet”, it is the foundation of all traditional martial arts.
All the imaginary fighting objects of traditional martial arts are not alone.
That's right, all traditional martial arts presets for fighting environments are to use one person to fight multiple people.
Here he is different from modern fighting ideas. Traditional martial arts do not consider fairness because it does not expect the enemy to be fair to itself, so they will not be fair to the enemy either.
This creates the concept of traditional martial arts - falling to the ground means death.
Except for a few boxing techniques such as lying on the ground, the first choice for all boxing species when they fall to the ground is to stand up as fast as possible without considering the use of ground skills.
Therefore, horse stance became the basis of all traditional martial arts.
Horse stance is divided into high-level horses, medium-level horses and low-level horses.
A high-position horse is to experience the feeling of being loose and soft. All the moves learned in the enemy are randomly used. There is no time to think and only rely on conditioned reflexes. However, when a person's muscles are tight, the conditioned reflex speed will slow down, so there is a way to practice a high-position horse.
The middle horse is usually the easiest position to exert force in fighting. The high horse does not borrow much force under the feet, while the low horse is too slow to exert force. Therefore, the middle horse is not the best choice for people to practice horse stance, but it is the most commonly used horse stance.
Low-level horses are also called Siping Horses. They are mostly used for practice. The toes of the feet are facing forward, the knees are spread out, the thighs are parallel to the ground, the waist is loose and the hips are sinking, the chest is straight, the upper body is straight, the eyes are facing the upper palate, the qi sinks into the Dantian, the hands are stretched, and the breathing is slow and heavy.
Sun Lutang sat under the cold tree, watching Wang Xuebin tied a Siping horse, holding an oil-soaked bamboo stick in his hand, and went forward from time to time to give some advice.
"Don't stick out your butt, keep your upper body upright, breathing slows down, qi sinks into your dantian, don't move your hands, sweat makes him flow. Before this incense is burned, add a stick of incense if you move."
Wang Xuebin listened to the roar in his ears, endured the bamboo sticks that were pointing fingers on his body, and did not dare to move.
He has been in fitness for three years. Although he has not deliberately stole horses, he can still tolerate it. It’s just that because his physique is quite attractive, he was eaten by the mosquitoes in just half a stick of incense.
Sun Lutang was very satisfied when he watched his apprentice endure the discomfort and stood on the stance, because he was not afraid of being stupid, not lazy, and afraid of slipperyness when practicing martial arts.
At most, stupid people can’t teach them a few more times, and lazy people can urge them more. At most, they won’t be able to become talented.
However, slippery people are on the surface and behind the scenes, and work diligently on the surface and find shortcuts behind the scenes. Unlike other martial arts practice, people who find shortcuts are the most likely to have problems, either storing tendons or scrambling gas problems, which are endless and difficult to cure.
Fortunately, Wang Xuebin himself is just greedy and is quite down-to-earth. In addition, he has developed the habit of fitness after years of exercise, and then he has become Sun Lutang's eyes.
"Okay, get up and move your legs and feet, walk around, and activate your qi and blood."
When Sun Lutang saw that a stick of incense was burned, he called Wang Xuebin to give advice.
"In the future, you will have to run around the martial arts hall twice every morning at 4:30 every morning, and then tie a horse with an incense stick. This is a necessary daily homework. Let's get here first today!"
Wang Xuebin nodded and said yes, took the towel handed over by Uncle Zhao and said thank you.
Uncle Zhao was always under the shade of the tree, peeling peanuts while watching Wang Xuebin happily stance. Seeing that Wang Xuebin finished practicing, he clapped his hands, handed the towel on his shoulder over and advised:
"Don't worry, you have been practicing martial arts for three years from now on. You have a strong foundation and practice quickly. Just get used to it slowly."
When Wang Xuebin heard what Uncle Zhao said, he tickled and replied:
"It's okay, I'm not in a hurry, just take your time!"
Wang Xuebin is really not in a hurry. Anyway, it has only been a few days since he returned to the current world, and his age remains unchanged. Just be the Sword God of Shilipo, just practice.
If you really can't do it, when will you get tired of it? Turning your head to submit a task. At worst, you won't come again. Who can you stop studying in another world?
But Sun Lutang didn't know the whole story. Seeing that his disciple was calm and he was very happy, he said:
"It's okay, I will teach you the three-body stake and shaking the big gun tomorrow. If you are tired of practicing horse stance, practice the three-body stance. If you are tired of it, you will shake the big gun, and you won't let you be idle."
After saying that, he walked towards the inner room with his hands behind his back. After all, Sun Lutang was seventy years old. Even a martial arts practitioner could not escape birth, old age, sickness and death. He was short of energy and went back to the house to take a nap.
When Uncle Zhao saw that Sun Lutang had returned to the house, he said to Wang Xuebin: "You go back to the house to rest, and let's go to cook later."
Wang Xuebin agreed, went back to the room to wash, changed his clothes, and came to the kitchen.
After searching in the kitchen, he said to Uncle Zhao: "I will come later. You should take a break first. I'll go buy some vegetables."
Uncle Zhao said ok, then raised his hand to touch the money from his pocket.
Seeing this, Wang Xuebin quickly stopped him and said, "Don't, this is what I plan to respect my master. You are not suitable. Besides, I am rich, and I am really not a big deal."
When Uncle Zhao heard this, he stopped insisting, but instead laughed and joked: "Wow, you really are a young master."
The word "Young Master" is just a title that Uncle Zhao joked about the young man, and it has no meaning of magnanimity. He always called Sun Lutang the master, and he was not sure whether there was any origin in it.
When Wang Xuebin heard the joke, he laughed and responded to this.
"It's not that good, serious!"
After saying that, he went out with a smile.
I went out to the previous vegetable market, bought vegetables and seasonings, and then bought some braised food. When I got home, I put the vegetables in the kitchen and saw Uncle Zhao soaking peanuts.
Wang Xuebin placed the dishes next to the chopping board, put the seasonings in place, washed his hands and started cutting the beef. Uncle Zhao also came forward to help and asked, "How to cut it, let's do it together!"
Wang Xuebin did not refuse and said, "Cut diced celery, shredded jellyfish, cubes of potatoes and eggplant, cut into tofu, cut into carp and flower knife, and cut into pieces of green pepper and tomatoes."
When Uncle Zhao heard this, he knew that he was really good at cooking, so he stopped talking and cut vegetables with his heart.
When Wang Xuebin saw Uncle Zhao come to help, he lit the fire, added water, green onion, ginger slices, and then put the washed beef pieces into the water and blanched it.
Open the pot and remove the foam, roll it for a while, remove the beef from the pot, then dry the oil in the pot, add rock sugar and stir-fry the sugar color, add the beef, add light soy sauce, rice wine and dark soy sauce, stir-fry the color, add the heated water to cover the beef, then pour the whole pot into the casserole, add the onion and ginger spices, and simmer it over low heat.
Uncle Zhao looked at his skillful movements and nodded, "He's a good guy!"
Wang Xuebin skillfully fryed, cooked and fried. After a while, he made a table of dishes, which were cooled and hot, and made a pot of dumpling soup and put them on the table together.
Turning around and calling the master to have a meal. When Sun Lutang heard his apprentice greeting, he also followed him to the dining table. When he saw the dishes on the table, he was surprised and said:
"Wow, this table of dishes, Lao Zhao?"
Sun Lutang looked up at Uncle Zhao, and Uncle Zhao nodded and confirmed: "That's right, what Xiao Wang did is to take good care of it."
Sun Lutang said with a smile: "I said that Lao Zhao should have had a rest for these two brushes. He would make noodles all day long, either fried noodles or braised noodles. Look at me, I learned Bin, what are you afraid of learning more from others?"
The four of them smiled and left the seat. Sun Lutang sat in the main seat. Wang Xuebin and Uncle Zhao were on both sides. Next to Uncle Zhao was Li Ma, who was responsible for cleaning and washing tasks. Because there were not many people here, they also had a meal together.
After the meal was used, Li Ma and Wang Xuebin cleaned the dishes and wiped the table.
Sun Lutang greeted Wang Xuebin and said:
"We are still in Shanghai for a while. After I am posting the newspaper, I will take you back to Beijing to become a disciple. If you lack anything here, I will tell Lao Zhao and ask him to buy it for you."
As he said that, he called Uncle Zhao over and instructed: "Old Zhao, see what Xuebin still lacks. You can buy it for him, and then give it to him for ten yuan a month."
In this era, an ordinary family of three costs only 20 yuan a month, and the city may be more expensive, but Wang Xuebin is in the martial arts hall, and there is no need to pay for food, clothing, housing and transportation. These ten yuan is just Wang Xuebin's pocket money, and Sun Lutang is really good at this apprentice.
"Master, no, I have a lot of money over the years. I can't spend all the money, so I won't need it."
Sun Lutang waved his hand and said, "Your is yours. This is what the master gives to his disciples. If you give it to you, you can keep it. In the future, you can just give it back to practice martial arts carefully."
Wang Xuebin did not refute after hearing this, and thought to himself that he would just go back to buy things in the future.
In the final analysis, I am still thinking from the modern year since I was unwilling to owe favors. Although I have been here for three years, my life and communication are simple, I have no experience, and I can't see through it.
Seeing that he did not refute, Sun Lutang continued: "You can stroll around, but you must not be infected with the sensual things, you must not stick to gambling, or tobacco."
As he said that, Sun Lutang said sternly: "If you dare to get involved in these things, pack up as soon as possible and get out of here, have you heard?"
Wang Xuebin also replied with a solemn look on his face: "Don't worry, master, I will never dare to get involved in these things."
When Sun Lutang heard this, his expression gradually slowed down and explained: "Once a martial artist is involved in these things, even if he is useless, he will not be able to use any high level of effort."
As he said that, he picked up the tea bowl and took a sip, and said, "Okay, go and rest too, remember to get up early tomorrow!"
Wang Xuebin said yes, turned around and came to the house, hanging the clothes in the box into the wardrobe.
Then he took out a Browning M1910 pistol tightly wrapped in black cloth from the box. He bought it for eighty dollars when he first arrived.
Because I was a newcomer and had no sense of security, I bought a pistol and twenty-one bullets from a foreign company. Except for seven shots during the test firing, I never used it again.
At first he carried it with him, but later he became familiar with all aspects over time, so he never brought it again. In recent years, he only occasionally disassembled and wiped it, and never used it once.
He put the gun into the inner pocket of his suit in his wardrobe, then stuffed the box under the bed, washed his face, changed his clothes, and lay on the bed.
Thinking back to what happened today, he was lucky to be a disciple today. Originally, he planned to go to the National Museum to try his luck if he didn't become a disciple. If it really doesn't work, he would go to Foshan to find a martial arts hall to become a disciple.
He actually doesn't value the fighting function of traditional martial arts because he has better choices, such as the martial arts world and countless fantasy worlds, but when he comes to this world without learning some kung fu, he always feels something is wrong.
Fortunately, he successfully became a disciple and his master treated him well, so the world was not in vain.
Before he knew it, Wang Xuebin fell asleep.
