82. The true beginning.

"X@s#! I hope you achieve what you desire!"

'Huh?' I looked around in confusion, but the lady's figure vanished.

My life flashed in front of my eyes. My brain was about to burst.

Honestly, I wished this all would stop, all of this a part of that dream, but alas.

Little did I know that this was only the beginning of my journey.

The golden light blinded my eyes again. The weight on my shoulders increased, or so I thought.

"Master! Master!" I opened my eyes at the sound of someone I knew very well. A sweet feminine voice that once cursed me to no end.

"M-master! Put me down! Please! If you keep holding me like this, I-I..! It's embarrassing!" It was Lisa. Wiggling in my arms while hiding her red face. Her deep red blush spread to the back of her ears and neck. She tried to escape but she did not push me away.

I gently put her down.

My body visibly shook as I remembered the scene I had witnessed earlier. That memory still ran a chill down my spine.

Lisa's beautiful face was buried deep into the ground while a golden sword was pierced through her body. Her blood was spilled everywhere. Her body lay helplessly.

Anna's body plummeted. Her two limbs were pulled out of her body.

The last scene was the worst of all.

Lara…

"M-master? What happened?" Lisa asked me as my grip on her got tighter.

My gaze was filled with affection and desire to protect her. I was confused. How could I, a demon, want to protect someone? It was a foreign feeling.

"Are you not feeling well, master?" Her eyes were filled with worry. Her small lips opened and closed as she tried to speak.

I felt warm when I looked into her eyes.

'Her eyes never lie.' I wanted to tell her everything but there was no time to explain.

I had already faced the most miraculous thing in the world; Reincarnation and thereafter this time travel.

That's why, I believed that it was another chance bestowed on me by the system.

Leaving all the matters for next time, I hurriedly pushed into Lisa's cherry lips, finding some strength to stand against the upcoming danger. Her soft and sweet lips helped me to calm the storm inside my mind.

This was my [Reset].

Whatever I needed to do, I had to do it.

"Mnf~" Lisa let out a sweet moan as I sucked her lips for a whole minute.

"Lisa. Calm yourself and stop thinking unnecessarily." I saw the rising confusion in her eyes but said what I felt necessary.

"If not for you, I wouldn't have survived this long… Thank you. For fighting by my side."I spoke my heart abruptly.

The cold and lustful demon who never spoke his mind and only ordered things around, this wasn't the usual me.

Lisa's eyes widened as she heard my words.

Did her heart skip a beat? Maybe.

"Master…" She looked me in the eyes.

For the first time, my thick demonic skin felt the warmth of Lisa's hug. She tightly cuddled me.

'I don't know what I am doing.'

'I don't know what my desire is.'

Maybe, my desire was-

[Narrator POV]

Similar to what Logan had witnessed earlier, the situation unfolded. Lara was swarmed by demons. Anna and Ilisha were together fending the demons who had their lustful gazes stuck onto them. In a corner of the forest, Blood Knight's charred body had fallen.

The defeat of Logan's legion was inevitable. Black Lotus, the mercenary group was in a bad position as well.

The intervention of this third army in the battleground had caused much chaos which in turn complicated Logan's plans ahead.

Logan had witnessed the problems his dumb decisions had caused. Fortunately, the system had miraculously brought him back in time- or so he thought.

However, the situation this time was different and easier.

Lisa was calmer than before and held onto Logan's only hand tightly.

Earlier, all of her worries about being worthless to her master faded when Logan spoke his heart to her for the first time.

'The demons feel emotions more intensely than any other race.' Her beating heart and ragged breathing were examples of this.

"Lisa." She followed Logan's gaze.

"I have a bad premonition… We need to run." Logan knew that he was weak. With the loss of his one arm and culminating injuries and an exhausted body, he cannot fight the upcoming calamity.

'That demoness, Barbara must be following me as well.' Logan was right.

Running away was the only option he had.

"Do as I say."

"Yes, master."

Logan quickly told her what she needed to do, and changed his position.

Just as the things had happened,

"Lisaaaaaa!" Thomas's call caught everyone's attention. 'This dumb man never learns.' Logan sneered.

Lisa was surprised when she saw her brother running toward her. However, unlike the last time, she wasn't confused.

At that moment, something inside her snapped, 'There she is!' Logan's eyes caught the Barabra red-handed.

Standing motionlessly on a nearby tree, Barbara, the demoness used some kind of spell to play with Lisa's mind and infuriate her feelings to burst out and-

"Thud!"

Just as planned, Thomas's head rolled on the ground.

Lisa's body shook visibly as she came back to her senses. She felt some foreign energy leave her body as soon as it entered. Immediately after Thomas's death.

She got furious.

'Who dares to play with me?!' She thought.

"There he comes…" Logan did not wait for too long as he saw the man in question, the calamity himself enter the field.

His appearance was rather young. Jet black hair, tall, handsome, muscular, charming, and surrounded by a holy aura was his description in Logan's mind. Standing behind him was the person he had earlier killed, Robert.

Logan used his skill, [Eye of Incubus] and his misery began.

"Ack!" His left eye cracked.

'W-what the fuck?!' He exclaimed.

As if someone did not want the young man's stats observed by Logan. He looked in Logan's direction, but all he saw was a raven sitting on a tree branch.

Barbara and Lisa were staring at each other.

This battle was a long one.

Kevin concentrated all the mana around him, while everyone's eyes were glued on Lisa and Barbara.

Now is my time, Logan thought and used a very gentle amount of mana.

"Ack!" Kevin cried as two thin spikes of stone, pierced through his ankles.

[Kevin! Keep an eye! Use the Bind right now!] Michael shouted. This was the first time Kevin had heard Michael panic.

This distraction was for a fraction of a second, but it was enough for Kevin to lose sight of his target, the Raven.

<Bind> was a target-oriented spell. It can be used many at a single time, but it affected the damage.

"Fire!"

"Hot! Hot! My skin is burning!" 

Low-level demons that had swarmed Logan's legion were burned alive as the effect of the spell spread through.

Barbara was no exception either. Her eyes felt a sharp pain as the golden light entered.

Everyone burned in the fire.

Along with his [God Of War] skill, Logan unleashed the perfect skills to overpower <Blind>.

First was <World Collapse>!

An illusionary skill that he had obtained while unlocking the sin: Envy.

"Gotcha!" Suddenly, a white silhouette appeared behind him.

It was Robert!

Bam!

Logan was punched mercilessly. He landed on the ground and got back into his demon form. Immediately, he was slammed into the trees by Robert's kick.

Barbara was furious at the intervention of the uninvited human in her conversation with Lisa.

She had finally found someone interesting, and the human she had seen before, was now ruining it.

The chaos leveled up.

Low and high-level demons ran across the field while digging their nails inside their heads.

The pain from <Blind> was excruciating.

Logan thought about leaving while Kevin was under an illusion. All he wanted to do was take Lara, Lisa, Anna, and Ilisha and run away.

Barbara's army was reduced to ashes. They changed their target from Logan's legion to all the humans present as they were a greater threat now.

Black Lotus turned against Kevin, who was attacking them under the illusion.

"You puny mortals dare to attack us?!" A prideful demon shouted.

Kevin however, did not bat an eye at any of this. [Michael had warned him about the threat of the sneaky demon.] Although the illusion was still there, Kevin was about to break from it.

Even in the illusion, he ordered Robert to take down Barbara while he takes care of the sneaky demon.

Jin on the other hand was spacing out. He sat near Thomas' decapitated body. When he turned to look at Kevin, horror engulfed him.

Kevin couldn't care less about Jin's loss, he was only focused on the sneaky demon that hid behind the trees.

"Black Lotus! Attack the demons!" Robert shouted and the Black Lotus group came to their senses.

This battle made no sense.

At first, they did not attack Logan's legion, mostly Lara, Anna, and Ilisha. They even involuntarily formed a non-aggression pact with the trio.

However, Robert's eyes suggested they discard that pact.

"Vice-leader! What should we do?!" They asked for their vice leader's permission.

"Run…" However, they got the most unexpected response.

"T-that man…. He is scary!" When Rina pointed it out, everyone looked in Kevin's direction.

Only to find out his appearance changed entirely.

Every demon felt their skin burning as the light Kevin radiated fell on their skin.

"R-run!!!!"

The bloodied war took the worst turn.

The lowest rank of pride demons started running for their life, following their basic instinct.

"Kreee!"

"Kreee!"

In the midst of all of this, Logan prepared for his final trump card.

He knew that the person in front of him was not any ordinary person.

Unlike Robert, this person intended to finish Logan off at the first sight.

[Michael Descends]

Kevin/Michael conjured every bit of mana.

"Michael will exterminate you! The filth!" Michael descended into Kevin's body and the aura around him turned bright golden.

"Face the King's wrath! <Fury of Gods>!" A  golden spear appeared in Kevin's hands and glowed brightly. In a fraction of a second, he chased Logan, who was lurking in the shadows, and threw the spear toward Logan.

Kevin had successfully broken out of the illusion. It wasn't worth mentioning either.

Logan had run out of mana and the miasma in his body wasn't good at long-range attacks.

Hiding his perfect trump card, Logan waited for Kevin to give his strongest attack.
