StarCraft: Becoming the Zerg Overlord
Chapter 406 Shooting
Mike hit a trigger and a green light went out.
He hit another and another green light went out.
Encouraged by this, Mike began to flick triggers rapidly and click various buttons randomly. After about fifteen seconds, the gunfire from the gun positions in the corridor gradually became sparse and finally stopped.
"Try other mechanisms and see what they work." Mike pinched a small dial and spun it. A whistle sounded from deep in the base, and at the same time, the floor under their feet began to tremble.
"Damn, something is wrong. What's going on?" Renault asked.
"I pushed my luck too much," Mike said.
"Why did you touch it?"
"It seemed to be the right thing to do under the circumstances, man."
Renault sighed in frustration and said, "Can you get the data we need from this terminal?"
Mike shook his head and pointed a finger at the map. "This place may have it," he said. "This is an isolated system, not connected to the mainframe."
"Are you sure?"
"Of course, the best way to protect data and prevent hackers from invading is to completely cut off the machine connection. This is basic computer knowledge."
"Then let's go and defeat those villains first." Renault said, while signaling to the remaining commandos.
"Okay." Mike smiled and responded, "Let's deal with the villains first."
However, as soon as they moved out of the doorway, dense bullets attacked from behind, making bullets bounce all over the corridor.
"Liberty!" Renault roared, "Didn't you just get rid of all the gun positions?"
"Those are not gun positions, Jim." Mike shouted, shrinking back into the doorway, "Those are living people holding guns."
Indeed, two figures in white armor stood at the intersection of the passage. Their combat uniforms were almost the same as Mike's except for the color.
They held Gauss magnetic guns and fired at this side of the corridor.
Mike raised his weapon, tilted the muzzle slightly forward, and a target in white armor appeared in the center of the crosshairs of the scope.
But Mike found that his hands were shaking and he couldn't shoot.
Because he was aiming at a person! A living person!
He couldn't convince himself to pull the trigger.
The enemy in white armor didn't have such a conscience burden. A series of bullets were fired at Mike. The frame of the door was blown into pieces by the bullets during the attack. Liberty quickly rolled back and rolled into the room.
"What's wrong with you?" Renault shouted, "Why don't you shoot?"
"They" Mike opened his mouth and shook his head, "I can't shoot."
Reno couldn't help but frown, "I saw you kill a Zerg skinning dog with a shotgun."
"That's different, these are people."
Mike thought his words would cause Renault's disgust, but Renault just nodded and said, "Okay, okay, many people have the same problem as you. Fortunately, the other party doesn't know that you are kind and don't want to kill them."
"Then fire at the top of their heads to scare them, that's okay."
He pushed Mike back to the door. Across the corridor, the other two commandos were shooting at the figure in white armor.
Mike rolled out of the doorway, aimed at the opponent on the right, raised the crosshairs of the magnetic gun, aimed at the enemy's hair, and finally fired his bullet
