Stupid Odin

#17 - The skull is the sky

Odin's face flushed red, and he really wanted to argue, but when he thought about how his arguments were always refuted by his elder brother with even more profound reasoning, he decided to shut up and not add to the laughter.

If he didn't argue, he could at least avoid a few scoldings.

If he argued, his elder brother would have to reason with him properly, and he would lose even more face.

To be honest, Tangs didn't want to always embarrass Odin in public. After all, Odin was the second oldest of the third generation of the Aesir gods. Without Tangs, Odin would be the pillar of the god race and the god-king.

A bucket full of water and a bucket without water won't slosh around.

Only a half-bucket of water is the most harmful.

Odin was really a pit. Whether or not he drank from the Well of Wisdom in later generations, every major decision he made was a pit of epic proportions. Either he dug a pit for himself and then jumped into it, or he dug a pit with Loki for the entire Aesir god race to jump into.

Looking at Odin, who was clearly unconvinced but pretending to be convinced, Tangs sighed and spoke a series of reasons:

"Exterminate evil completely, cut off the enemy's roots!"

"For enemies, if they cannot be conquered, they should be granted absolute destruction!"

"Leaving enemies behind, trapped in desperate situations. Wouldn't that be entrusting a great mission to the avenger, first making them suffer in their hearts and toughen their muscles and bones, forging their bodies? When the enemy becomes strong, what should we do?"

Regarding Tangs's kind advice, the young and vigorous Odin was still unconvinced: "If they don't submit, then beat them until they do!"

"What if one enemy family swears to never submit?"

"I will go and conquer them!"

"What if two families rebel at the same time?"

"Uh, elder brother, you personally…"

"Three families? Ten families?" Tangs narrowed his eyes and unleashed the ultimate move.

Endless rebellions causing wars in all realms, just imagining this scene was enough to make Odin completely silent.

It was like using ten fingers to hold down ten highly struggling fleas, there would always be times when you couldn't attend to everything.

This was also the biggest drawback of Odin's governance in the epic poem "Edda".

When the Aesir god race was strong, there were still constant internal conflicts. As soon as Odin's strength slightly declined, major rebel armies immediately rode on the Aesir god race's face and output.

In this life, Tangs's choice was the "Kingly Way"!

His grand voice once again echoed endlessly between heaven and earth:

"The light and darkness in the world are predestined!"

"Without seeing light, one does not know hope."

"Without entering darkness, one does not know fear."

"Our race is born in adversity, but we must not die in comfort!"

"I hereby decree—"

"Asgard must have day and night and the four seasons! Our descendants must undergo the trials of wind, rain, thunder, and lightning!"

"Even the perpetually dark kingdom should have at least one day of sunshine!"

One suggestion after another was put forward, and one by one they were judged and revised.

Both gods and giants received satisfactory answers.

At this time, the action of reshaping the world finally began in Tangs's declaration.

In a sense, the world's will seemed a little impatient, and Tangs and his brothers could clearly feel that the world's pulse was becoming stronger and stronger.

Tangs didn't keep the world waiting.

Looking around, Tangs gradually found that his vision had already transcended the earth and landed outside the entire huge space, looking at the Jötunheimr world below from a strange, overlooking perspective, as well as the world beside it that was still in chaos.

Withdrawing his gaze, Tangs stared at the terrifying head of Surtr, the ancestor of the fire giants, which had been poked to pieces.

He remotely held his hands against the fiery skull, and in the next instant, two giant palms made of clouds descended from the sky. These super-large hands, with a length of over a kilometer, held Surtr's head high and slowly lifted it above the clouds.

The world had once given the two ancestor giants a chance, hoping that they would lead the world's order, but their ignorance had prevented the world's transformation process from making progress for many years.

What the world had bestowed upon them was now being recovered through Tangs's hands.

To outsiders, it seemed that Tangs was using his divine hand to completely crush Surtr's head like stirring something. In fact, Tangs was extracting the fire source that the world had previously poured into the fire giant ancestor's head, completely dispersing it, and reintegrating it into the world.

If these fire sources of the world were collected, they could be given a beautiful name: Eternal Fire!

At this time, the Eternal Fire began to scatter as the giant cloud hand threw it.

Having lost its original skull shape, it was like a prairie fire, spreading across the sky at an exaggerated speed a thousand times faster than lighting a fuse.

They not only began to combine with the original sky, but also continued to expand outward, fighting with the Chaos outside the world.

The flames of order kept tearing and biting at the clouds of chaos, and a large amount of disordered energy was generated at the junction of order and chaos.

They were neither orderly nor chaotic.

It depended on which side's power was stronger to transform it into its own state.

In the epic "Edda", Odin used the skull of the frost giant Ymir as the sky.

In this life, Tangs's approach was obviously super-doubled.

Sensing that the diffusion of Surtr's Eternal Fire was about to enter a state of stagnation, another pair of giant cloud hands descended on the frost-covered earth. This time, what was held high into the sky was Ymir's head.

The Eternal Night Frost, which had been hidden for an entire giant era, was released from Ymir's head. They gushed into the sky and joined the Eternal Fire in the battle for the airspace against Chaos.

Ice and fire!

Two pure elemental sources, under the guidance of Tangs's divine thoughts, were constantly being reconciled. After they combined, they expanded wantonly, seizing more space in Chaos.

If the total volume of the nine realms created by Odin in "Edda" was 100, then the space of this new world was at least 300.

The complete version of the ice and fire source fusion created a magical effect of 1+1 being greater than 3.

Slowly, Tangs instilled the concepts of "sun" and "moon" into this sky, and then the so-called laws of "new moon", "full moon", and "waning moon".

The scorching sun, the cold moon.

When Tangs introduced all the concepts about the sun, moon, day, and night into the dome of the world, and then became laws, the world had complete day and night.

"Let there be light!" he said.

With just a soft murmur, the hottest group of fire elements in the fire kingdom of Muspelheim was extracted, raised to the sky, and transformed into a huge fireball that constantly emitted light and heat. The Aesir gods and giants, who had never seen the sun, saw light in the dark sky for the first time in their lives.

That was not simple firelight, but a source of light that was softer than they could have imagined, warm and not dazzling.

Tangs's voice was so gentle, and so unquestionable.

"Light is day, darkness is night! I declare—this is the morning of one day."

After a long time of being accustomed to the emptiness and nothingness of the cold eternal night, even a little change in the law was enough to make all beings astonished and prostrate themselves in worship, not to mention that Tangs was reshaping such a huge world.

No, from this day on, no matter how Tangs emphasized that he was only reshaping the world, the words used by later historians to record this great achievement would definitely be—Creation!
