The Admiral of Hogwarts
#480 - Nightmare
"Besides the fact that we've both been expelled, are wanted, and I've had my medal revoked, is there any other news related to us?" After Hermione finished reading the front-page news, Hugo asked while eating a fried egg.
"Yes, page four has Professor Dumbledore's comments on the incident. He believes Umbridge was carrying out an illegal arrest, and we were only acting in legitimate self-defense and successfully protected the school's professor," Hermione said, looking at the few lines of text in the corner of page four.
"However, the Daily Prophet has twisted the matter into an attack launched by Dumbledore's cronies against Ministry of Magic personnel under Dumbledore's command, and it uses a lot of space to criticize Dumbledore's so-called conspiracy."
"This just proves the Ministry of Magic has gone mad!" Hugo shook his head and said, "Alright, let's hurry up and eat. We still have a bunch of work to do after breakfast. Who knew alien colonization would be so troublesome—"
On the very night that Hugo and Hermione were fleeing, Harry also encountered a huge problem. That night, because they had just finished their exams, Gryffindor was noisy until very late before everyone went back to sleep.
Because he had let go of an important burden in his heart, Harry fell asleep quickly after lying on his bed. At first, it was just like when he usually slept, with everything black before his eyes.
However, soon, the blackness slowly faded, and some dim images appeared in Harry's mind.
Once again, he was walking in that cold, dark corridor of the Department of Mysteries, his steps firm and decisive, occasionally running a few steps. He had finally decided that he must reach his destination…
Along the way, he didn't pay attention to the surrounding scenery. After passing through three doors, Harry once again found himself in the cathedral-like room filled with shelves and glass orbs, as if something was urging him.
His heart was beating very fast. Following the guidance of his heart, he walked to the 97th row of shelves, turned left, and hurried along the narrow aisle between the two rows of shelves…
At the end of the aisle, there was a figure moving on the floor. Harry felt a voice coming from his own mouth, a cold, high-pitched voice, without a trace of human kindness…
"Get it for me… quickly, bring it… I can't touch it… you can touch it…"
The black figure on the floor moved slightly. A hand with long, white fingers tightly gripped a wand and raised it, and the sharp, cold voice said, "Crucio!"
Harry was shocked to find that it seemed to be himself casting the Cruciatus Curse. In the spell, the man writhing on the floor let out a painful scream, trying to stand up, but twisted and fell back down. Harry was laughing. He raised his wand, the spell stopped, and the figure groaned and stopped moving.
"Voldemort is waiting…"
The man on the ground trembled his arms, he very slowly propped his shoulders up a few inches, raised his head. His face was stained with blood, very haggard, twisted in pain, but still with a steadfast and unyielding look. "You must kill me."
"Without a doubt, I will," the cold voice said, "But you must first get it and give it to me, Black?? Do you think that's all the pain you'll feel? Think again… we have a few hours ahead of us, no one can hear you scream…"
Just as Voldemort lowered his wand, Harry screamed and rolled around on the bed. However, he woke up after his head hit the headboard, still screaming, his scar burning like a red-hot iron.
"Harry!" Ron stood beside him with a look of fear. "Who was it this time? Who got hurt again?"
"Sirius, Sirius, he's been caught by Voldemort—" Harry's vision was blurred with pain, but he still grabbed Ron's arm tightly, because he felt this was very important. "Go and inform Professor McGonagall."
"Sorry, I don't think that's going to work," Ron said with a regretful look at this time. "Just over two hours ago, Umbridge brought five Aurors to arrest Hagrid, and when Professor McGonagall went out to stop them, the Aurors attacked her."
"Although the Granger siblings helped Professor McGonagall block the attack, Umbridge attacked Hermione with dark magic, and then, in a fit of rage, Hugo turned those Aurors into golden statues and ran away with Hagrid."
"So now Professor McGonagall is being investigated, and Hogwarts is in a complete lockdown. No one can come in, and no one can go out."
"Damn it!" Harry slammed the bed beneath him and then got up and said in a loud voice. "But I can't watch Sirius die, I have to find a way to go to the Department of Mysteries to save him!"
"Dude, calm down." Ron seemed a little nervous at this time, but he still remembered something Hugo had repeatedly said before.
"Are you sure it was really Sirius that this mysterious person caught? I remember Hugo said before that the other party is much stronger than you, and if he can detect your existence, it is very likely that he will mislead you with false information."
"If I remember correctly, you should have a way to contact Sirius, so you can always contact Sirius first and see."
"Damn it, I actually forgot about this thing." Harry slapped his forehead and then ran back to the dormitory and rummaged through the box under the bed, finally finding a badly wrapped small package in the corner of the box.
After opening the small package, a dirty and old square mirror was revealed inside. There was also a note hastily written by Sirius about how to use the mirror.
After Harry read the note, he held it up in front of him with both hands and called out loudly and clearly, "Sirius."
Within a few seconds, the mirror responded, but it was Kreacher's wrinkled face that appeared.
"Where's Sirius, Kreacher?" Harry asked after seeing Kreacher.
"Master went to carry out Dumbledore's orders," the house-elf said, panting slightly.
"Now Sirius is the only one left in the Black family, but Dumbledore still assigned so many tasks that he doesn't even have time to find a girlfriend. If this goes on, when will I be able to see the Black family's new young master—"
"I wanted to ask if he hasn't come back, could he have gone to the Ministry of Magic?" Harry quickly interrupted Kreacher, because Kreacher had already started talking about what kind of baby bottles and diapers were better for newborns.
"Of course not, Harry Potter." Kreacher looked at Harry seriously and said. "Master Black was sent to Northern Europe to contact some people there, so there's definitely no way he can come back today."
"Then can you call a member of the Order of the Phoenix? I have very important information to tell them." After hearing this, Kreacher popped into another room, and Harry saw Moody sitting up, rubbing his eyes.
"What, you saw Sirius being caught?" Moody looked shocked. "You stay in the castle and don't move. I'll go and inform the others. You must not wander around, and don't leave the castle."
After speaking, the two-way mirror dimmed, and everyone in the dormitory was waiting anxiously. However, no new news came until dawn.
And the next morning, while eating breakfast, Harry was surprised to see the portraits of the Granger siblings appearing in the Daily Prophet, with a lot of detailed information about yesterday's events underneath.
