The Admiral of Hogwarts
#481 - Debate and plan
"Did you see the news this morning?" Just as Harry finished breakfast and returned to the common room, the Weasley twins approached, newspapers in hand, and asked.
"I did. I think Umbridge absolutely set up Granger and them like this." Harry said with a serious expression. "They didn't make any mistakes—"
"Yes, it's entirely Umbridge's fault." Fred sighed. "They even advised us not to get worked up before; who knew they'd be even more worked up than us."
"Before, we were just planning a big commotion to teach Umbridge a lesson. We never imagined the Granger siblings would fight Aurors so impressively!" George added from the side.
"By the way, I just heard Ginny say that you had that nightmare again after coming back from breakfast. Can you tell us the specifics?" At that moment, Fred seemed to remember something and suddenly asked.
In Harry's eyes, the Weasley twins were naturally very reliable people, so after thinking for a moment, Harry told the twins the whole story. Just then, Ginny and Ron also walked over together.
"Professor Moody's judgment is right. No matter what, Harry's safety is the most important thing, not to mention this kidnapping seems a bit unusual—" However, Ginny was interrupted by Harry before she could finish.
"But now, the one who's missing is my only family. I have to find him. Professor Moody, the Granger siblings, and even Professor Dumbledore, they mean well by having me stay here. I know that."
"But Sirius's significance to me is completely different from what he is to them. They might give up Sirius for my safety; after all, people in the Order of the Phoenix have sacrificed themselves before. I can't just sit here."
"What's more, I think Voldemort already knows I'm watching him, and this dream at noon was his warning to me. If I don't show up at the Department of Mysteries, Voldemort might kill Sirius."
Saying this, Harry looked around at the friends surrounding him, then focused his gaze on Ginny. "Of course, this is just my thing; it has nothing to do with you."
"I don't want to stop you, but—the Dark Lord understands you, Harry! Your brains have been connected for so long, he knows you're the kind of person who would go to rescue Sirius! If he just wants to get you into the Department of Mysteries—"
"Ginny, whether he's doing this to lure me there or not, it doesn't matter—Hogwarts is locked down now, and the Order of the Phoenix hasn't investigated any results yet. If we don't go, Sirius is dead!"
"But Harry—what if your dream is—just a dream? Or an illusion created by the Dark Lord? I remember both Hugo and Hermione said that in this kind of soul connection, the weaker party is easily led astray by the stronger party."
Harry shouted in disappointment. Ginny took several steps back, looking terrified, because for so many years, Harry had always been like a big brother next door to her, and had never been so暴躁.
"You don't understand!" Harry yelled at her. "I'm not having a nightmare; I'm not just dreaming! What do you think learning Occlumency is for? Why do you think Dumbledore doesn't want me to see these things? Because they're real, Ginny—"
"Sirius has indeed been captured; I saw him. Voldemort captured him, and no one else knows, which means we're the only ones who can save him. If you don't want to do it, that's fine, but I'm going, understand?"
"If that's your decision, please let me go with you." Ginny stepped forward first, looking at Harry's astonished face. "You didn't think I'd let you face this alone, did you?"
"Right, and us. We're adults now; it's time to do some things. We can't let the Granger siblings hog all the limelight in this regard."
"I'm your best friend; how could I let you risk it alone?" Ron continued. "It's best for everyone to go together in this kind of situation. Even if there's a real problem, more people can help each other out."
For Gryffindors like Harry and the Weasley family, sometimes when they encounter a situation, they often don't think too much; in fact, their actions often precede their thoughts.
So after Harry said this with such emotional intensity, even rationalists like Ginny would get caught up in the heat of the moment, abandon all plans, and directly莽一波 instead of pondering other things.
"Listen to me, this is my own thing. You don't—" As a result, Harry was interrupted by several people's protests. This argument made his scar ache even more violently. Harry realized that every minute they delayed was precious; he didn't have time to argue.
"Okay, fine, that's your choice," he said hastily. "But the problem is that all external communication channels at Hogwarts are being monitored by that old woman Umbridge, and we don't have enough flying brooms. How can we get to London like this?"
"I just heard someone say they were going to London." At that moment, a girl with golden pigtails stood up from a chair that Harry had previously thought was empty, and then asked.
"Firefly!" At first, Harry was startled by this, but after realizing it was Firefly, he relaxed a lot. "Do you have a way for us to get to London?"
"Yes, I think you can go to Hogsmeade first, and then use the Floo Network in Hogsmeade to go to London." Firefly smiled and said, "But you'd better go at night, so there won't be anyone in those shops in town, making it easier for you to do your thing."
"But we're in a hurry now—" Harry said, but was interrupted by Firefly halfway through.
"No matter how urgent it is, you can't leave now. Hogwarts is in a state of lockdown; it's impossible to leave this place during the day. Your only choice is to leave at night."
"If you're not willing to leave at night, you can't use the Floo Network, and you can only choose to ride flying brooms or some kind of animal. But in that case, by the time you get to the south, it will still be night."
"More importantly, even if the Ministry of Magic is indeed incompetent, with so many people coming and going during the day, it's almost impossible for the Dark Lord to control a captive to enter the Ministry of Magic, especially the most heavily guarded Department of Mysteries."
"What you said—makes sense." After Firefly said so much in such a clear and organized manner, Harry could only admit that his previous analysis was wrong, and decided to postpone the plan until night.
"Don't worry, I'll help you find a way to divert Umbridge's attention at that time, so she doesn't find out you're not in bed." Seeing that Harry had changed his plan, Firefly nodded in promise, then went upstairs back to her dormitory.
And immediately after returning to her dormitory, Firefly contacted Hugo and them through the Governor Network, and then reported Harry and the others' plan in detail.
"You did a good job, Firefly." Soon Hugo replied to the transmitted information. "We also need to prepare for what's coming next."
