The Emperor’s Angel of Death

Vol 2 Chapter 1217: bizarre disappearance

Latest URL: Haunted?

Felicia Munch shook his head, tossing out the ridiculous idea, then clenched the Emperor's badge on the parapet. He put his hand on the pass and waited for the door to recognize him.

The door opened at the right moment, and Felicia Munch stood at the entrance to the cabin, ahead of the main passage through the upper deck, but for some reason the lights went out.

He desperately tried to see through the layers of darkness, but there was nothing, only silence.

The normal background noise on the ship, including the loud hiss of leaking pipes, was gone, as was the crunch of the servitors in action.

The world is silent.

Captain Felicia Munch turned slowly, all his senses at their peak.

He was sure there was something in that void.

If it was an attack, it would be different from what he had known before.

But what would attack him?

For a moment, the captain stood at the entrance of the cabin, uncertain.

He sent the Servant as bait, but if his intuition was correct, those lurking in the dark might not be as simple as pirates.

In the end, he chose to go back to the cabin.

"Now I need a team to go see with me."

A minute later, Félice Monk and his **** team were slowly traversing the hard road to the passage connecting the command bridge to the cargo ship, and he had to know if the enemy was running for the cargo.

The captain is in the center of the queue, and everyone has visual contact with the people on either side, which means they're actually in contact distance.

The darkness moved around them, circled, receded, and engulfed them again.

All he could hear was the crunch of boots on the hard metal floor, and the nervous breathing of people expecting something in the dark.

But when they reached the entrance to the cargo hold, there was nothing bigger than a startled gunshot.

"There's no one here, my lord."

The news was relayed over the wire by the person in charge of the command to Captain Felicia Monk, who went to the front of the line to see for himself.

The cargo hold is the ship's top priority and is usually the enemy's most direct target, so manned turrets were placed on both ends of the entrance.

But now both turrets are empty.

The captain looked at the laser cannon, its barrel drooping, with specks of condensation on it.

He put his hand on it, the barrel was cold. It didn't fire, there were no signs of confusion to suggest a fight, no blood or bullet marks.

It was as if the gunners just stood up and disappeared into the fog.

The same goes for the other emplacement, a cold shot, some of the few personal belongings of the guards, but the guards themselves are nowhere to be found.

Just as Captain Felicia Munch was examining it, one of his guards approached.

"Captain, we are missing one person."

"Impossible! Count the numbers!"

There was neither sound nor sign of attack on his squad, which were veteran soldiers who had been retired and were well disciplined.

If someone was killed, they would all hear.

But as the roll call drew to a close, Felicia Monk realized that the team was actually missing two people, not one.

It seemed that the last two were gone, vanishing into the darkness like frost melting under the rising sun.

In short, no matter what happened, they had no chance to issue a warning.

"Everyone is on guard! All lighting is on."

while issuing the command. He glanced back at the path they had traveled.

Why don't we just abort and return to the command module?

Felice Munch hates being hunted by things he can't see.

"Go back."

Felich Monk stood at the center of the tight formation, propelling the team forward.

But after a few steps, he realized something was wrong.

"Rolling."

Sure enough, there were only six people left, and two more disappeared in silence, obviously right in front of him.

The captain looked around.

"Did anyone see anything? Hear something?"

The men in his pared-down squad all shook their heads, all eyes looking out at the fluttering darkness that obscured everything that was hunting them.

"Ahhh! Get out!"

In the terrifying atmosphere, someone finally couldn't hold back. A guard suddenly screamed and fired with his low-power laser gun. The bullets whizzed through the charged fog, and the others followed suit, almost in the same direction. Blind shooting.

But Felicia Munch heard the hissing sound of the scorched flesh in the foggy blank, which only meant one thing—

They hit something.

Then, a figure appeared in the fog, staggering toward them.

The laser rifle locked it on.

but…

"etc!"

The figure staggered closer, getting smaller and more familiar, until it appeared in the faint vision left to them.

It was one of theirs, one of the four missing, who, despite several laser-hit burn marks on his body, approached, with his hands raised to assure himself that he would not hurt anyone.

Finally, he slammed forward and fell to the ground.

"Turn him over."

The two remaining men bent down toward him and began to turn him over, but backed away.

His was gone, and the slightly open jaw spoke through, but what he wanted to say was nothing but blood blisters.

Felicia Munch stared at the man on the ground, and his expression represented his mood at the moment.

"What the **** is this?"

One of the men asked in horror, but while his question was still pending, the man disappeared backwards, as if the fog itself had caught him and dragged him away.

The team members disregarded their comrades and shot in the direction where the man disappeared, and suddenly fired several laser bullets and physical ammunition.

Felice Monk tried to order them to stop, but his order was lost in the sound of gunfire, so he could only grab the man next to him.

"Stop shooting."

He turned to the man opposite and raised his arms.

"Stop shooting~www.wuxiaspot.com~ The silence rose again, and Felicia Monk turned her head and listened, trying to figure out where they were.

But when he turned to listen, he saw a blank space beside him—

There was another person there just now.

He quickly looked to the other side, and the man disappeared.

The silence was like claws gripping his heart, sweat dripping from his hair to his face, condensing on his weapon, and dripping to the ground.

Suddenly, a vague shadow emerged from the fog, thudding wetly on the ground in front of his feet.

"This--"

Felice Monk took a sharp step back. It was a human head, a human head he was familiar with—

His fortune teller!
