The mysterious journey begins with becoming a pirate
Chapter 9 The sea water is so bitter!
Eilok picked up the dagger and tried to insert it into the gap at the top of the box.
He tried twice and found the right angle. He thrust hard and only the handle was left, just like the one on the mural. Elok nodded with satisfaction.
Hearing Roger's exclamation, Elok looked back.
A strong suction suddenly came from in front of Elok. This made him move forward involuntarily.
He turned around and could no longer care about Roger. He looked carefully and saw that the stone box that was originally closed by Elok had opened its huge mouth, and crazy suction came from the inside.
The suction became stronger and stronger. Elok held the edge of the box tightly, but he could no longer resist it.
"Ah~ Shit. What is this again." He shouted angrily.
······
The next morning.
Il pouted and frowned. He tilted his head and said to Richie who had just come downstairs to eat breakfast and go to work: "Dad, Alok didn't come back all night."
"I told you, don't worry. Maybe he went out to play with someone." Richie waved his hand nonchalantly.
Ir poured himself a glass of milk, spread butter on the sliced bread, and said:
"Just now, Claw said that he couldn't find Alok after looking for him all night."
Richie pulled out the chair with exaggerated carvings and flashy hollows in front of the dining table, wondering:
"Oh? This kid is hiding well."
Then, Richie closed his eyes and felt it quietly. He frowned, "I can't feel that kid. This shouldn't be. But he's not dead."
Then he relaxed his brows and patted his head,
"It must be that kid doesn't want me to know. Well, it must be like this. Oh, young people have grown up. Give them some space."
He took the breakfast that Ir prepared for him, bread slices with butter and jam. I poured myself a glass of milk and picked up the morning newspaper next to me to read it.
Ir looked at Rich helplessly. Why does Dad care so little about Alok? Could it be that he is not his biological son? His own son is missing, as if nothing happened. Not as good as me, his sister. So I finally couldn't help but say:
"Dad, Alok is missing. Don't you care about it?"
"Didn't I sense it just now? I didn't find him." Rich said nonchalantly.
Seeing Ir's expression, Rich continued to pick up the newspaper.
"Yeah~~~I care. Yeah, let me look for him in the newspaper again."
Ir gulped down the milk in one gulp. He slumped in the chair with a big roll of his eyes.
"Oh~~~Poor Alok."
Rich was not in a hurry to look at the newspaper, and even smiled. He approached Ir and pointed to the newspaper for her, as if he was really ready to find Alok from the newspaper.
"Look, here. The imperial capital of Damia has issued new banknotes. I said it yesterday. There is definitely no news about Alok."
His finger moved down. He continued to direct and act and point to Il:
"Ha, this, this. Pirates attacked the port of Dror City yesterday evening."
He read it again and wondered:
"Why is this the same as yesterday's newspaper? Could I have taken the wrong one?"
He turned to the first page of the newspaper, "Drol Morning News" on Tuesday, May 2.
"That's right. Alas~ The newspapers nowadays are getting more and more perfunctory. Even the reports of the past two days are exactly the same. Deceiving an old man like me."
Il's hand, which was eating buttered bread, suddenly stopped in mid-air, and she stopped chewing the bread in her mouth. She suddenly stood up and said hesitantly:
"What did you say? Pirates attacked the port of Dror yesterday?"
"Ah? Yes. Pirates are getting more and more rampant now. Alas~~~" After saying that, Richie looked up and sighed.
Il's heart was turned upside down. Clues were being sorted out in her mind.
Yesterday evening we went to the beach in Hamilton to attend a dance.
Not far to the east is the harbor area.
Next to it is Port Dror.
Yesterday my brother dressed up as a pirate.
My brother has always wanted to be a pirate.
I didn't see my brother yesterday.
Could this idiot be a pirate? Damn Alok. There was some disbelief in her eyes.
The corners of her mouth twitched. She told Richie her guess in a different way: "Dad, Alok could have been kidnapped by pirates."
Richie was obviously stunned after hearing this. He nodded in agreement: "Hmm~Hmm~It's possible." But there was no other movement or anxious expression.
"Aren't you anxious, Dad?" Ir stretched his head forward, opened his mouth slightly, and said anxiously.
Half lying on the chair, holding a piece of bread in one hand and a newspaper in the other, Richie spread his hands, looked at Ir and said:
"What's the use of being anxious? Let Claw go to the sea to look for him first."
Ir widened his eyes and said angrily:
"Why don't you go and look for him? Claw has been looking for him all night."
Coughing twice, Richie was a little embarrassed:
"Aren't historians not good at finding people? Besides, I have to go to work."
He put down the newspaper, took out a silver pocket watch, and saw that the time displayed on the dial was just past eight o'clock. He exclaimed:
"Oh, it's almost nine o'clock. I'm going to be late."
Having quickly finished the last piece of bread and milk, Richie stood up from the stool and ordered:
"Remember to look for your brother. I'm going to work." Then he turned around and gave Ir a fist-clenching gesture as if to cheer him up. "Witch, omnipotent."
Ir was so angry that he almost blurted out unladylike words. Thinking that he was his father after all, he had to vent his anger on Alok.
He threw the bread in his hand onto the dark green plate with tulip patterns in front of him, splashing the butter on it, and shouted madly:
"Ah~~ Stupid Alok."
······
Alok was holding a thick piece of wood and floating on the sea. It was the mast of the "White Seagull".
The huge suction of the stone box sucked the entire temple, fog, island, and the "White Seagull" into it. In the end, it spit out the wreckage of the "White Seagull" and the only two living people in it.
Alok was not very good at swimming, and his only swimming experience was completely flopping in the swimming pool.
Alok and Roger each held one end of the mast. Floating listlessly on the sea.
Changing his hand to hold the mast, Alok said:
"What should we do now, Roger."
Roger didn't want to pay attention to him, but still said angrily:
"You still have the nerve to ask me. Who told you to insert that dagger? How do I know what to do now?"
"Who could have known that inserting it would turn out like this? I don't want to do that either." Alok retorted.
"I just saw the dagger inserted in the mural. At that time, it wasn't inserted in the box, so there must be a problem. Then insert it. Maybe you can get out of trouble."
Roger looked at Alok coldly:
"Yes, you are out of trouble. Now you are waiting to die."
With a gloomy face, Roger asked again:
"What else do you know. About the treasure."
What else do I know? I really don't know. I am just a fresh graduate. It was my first time to go to sea, and I made up two lies. Who knew it would come true. I didn't see my prediction of winning the lottery come true. Of course, I have never bought a lottery ticket.
I will definitely do it next time.
With a sad face, Alok didn't know what to say.
"What else is there in the mural behind?" Roger said again.
Alok was a little surprised, "How do you know there is something behind?"
Seeing that Roger was not going to explain. Alok said carefully:
"Later, a man whose face could not be seen pulled out the dagger on the box, the box was opened, and the right hand ran out. But it was still trapped in the temple."
Roger's face was a little gloomy, and he didn't say anything. He turned his head and stopped looking at Alok. Alok was too embarrassed to say anything.
Shrugging, Alok lay down in a way that he thought was more labor-saving.
A seagull stayed on the wreckage of the mast. It tilted its head. It opened its mouth and shouted "Ah~Wow". It seemed to laugh at Alok.
Alok waved his hand angrily, splashing a large area of sea water.
"Finally quiet." Alok breathed a sigh of relief, "You dare to laugh at me. Hum~"
Roger's face was gloomy: "What are you doing? I was just about to give it a wind blade. You scared it away." He took a deep breath to calm his emotions. "Maybe that's our lunch."
A little embarrassed, Alok raised his hand to express his apology.
Then he changed the subject:
"Do seagulls only appear near the coast?"
Roger thought for a few seconds, nodded and said, "Yes."
"Then we are not far from the shore. Maybe we can be washed ashore." A little hopeful light flashed in Alok's eyes.
"But it may also be near an unknown island in the deep sea."
"That's better than here."
Soaking in the sea water, Alok's feeling is.
So hungry!
The sun is so big! Like a pancake!
So thirsty!
The sea water is so bitter! !
