A total of 9 auxiliary root servers will be set up across the country, so as to build the Internet across the country, and also build the Internet on this basis.

It is precisely because of the understanding of the importance of the root server that Liu Tao is ready to build the root server at this time.

Things that involve security must be in one's own hands.

Otherwise, if the United States controls all the root servers for domain name resolution, it will also control all the corresponding domain names and IP addresses, which is obviously fatal to other countries. If the United States blocks the domain name of a certain country one day, then their IP addresses will not be resolved, and the websites pointed to by these domain names will disappear from the Internet.

From this association, if '.cn' is deleted from the domain name system, or even the IP addresses allocated to China are cancelled, China will become a spectator of the international backbone network.

In the previous life, during the Iraq War, the United States once deleted the Iraqi top-level domain name .iq, which resulted in the paralysis of the entire Internet in Iraq, which can be called the end of the information war.

9 auxiliary root servers will be placed in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xiangjiang, Kunming, Rongcheng, Jiangcheng, Chang'an, Bingcheng, and Wushi.

The application for web page access is completed by a data packet. Since the length of a data packet is 256b, it is determined that a data packet can only have 13 blocks, which fundamentally limits the number of root domain name servers, that is, there can only be 13 root domain name servers.

In the past, there were 13 root servers in the world, 10 of which were in the United States, 2 in Europe, and 1 in Japan.

China has the largest number of Internet users in the world, but it does not have a root server.

It was not until 2006 that China opened the "root domain name China mirror server". But you must know that as long as China does not have a root domain name server for a day, no matter how many more mirror servers are added, it will only increase the speed of Internet users accessing the web, and the security problem cannot be completely solved. The United States, which has 10 root domain name servers, can still obtain relevant data from China's Internet DNS resolution, which is a very big threat to China's national security.

Liu Tao understands that the United States will not give up the construction of root servers.

But it doesn't matter. He has a broad mind. The world is big and can accommodate two Internet worlds!

The United States can dominate the 13 root servers dominated by it and control the Internet world it dominates.

Similarly, China can also dominate the 13 root servers dominated by itself and control the Internet world dominated by itself.

As for whether this will overlap and cause waste of resources?

When it comes to national security, how can there be no waste of resources!

At that time, China will have 10 root servers, and the root domain name server in Hong Kong can serve the entire Southeast Asia and Australia, and then build a root server in the United States, Europe, and the Soviet Union.

Then an Internet world will be basically built.

Of course, the construction of root servers is particularly complicated and requires large-scale computer rooms and backbone networks.

What is to be started now is the construction of the mother root server, which will be built in Beijing, and this is also to accumulate experience in building root servers.

There is a shortage of talents now, and there are few people with strong technology.

But it doesn't matter, just pay enough attention and invest heavily, and it will be fine.

Because at this time, the United States has not yet opened domain name registration. Now no one can imagine what the future Internet will be like? So no one knows how important the Internet and domain names are.

This also makes the United States not attach great importance to root domain name servers!

Even Liu Tao is not too clear whether the mother root server of the United States has been built.

For something like this involving the entire national level, Panshan Group cannot directly implement it, and it must be coordinated at the national level.

Including the later establishment of root servers in North America, Europe, and the Soviet Union, all must be coordinated and promoted by the state.

‘Qujing’ was the key area of ​​the third-line construction in Yunnan Province at that time. Even now, Panshan Group has three large-scale factories in Qujing.

Similarly, the Malong Military Training Base is also located in ‘Qujing’.

When this frigate is completed, it will be delivered to the South China Sea Fleet and serve in the South China Sea Fleet.

Liu Tao came here to inspect the work and also saw if there was anything he needed to solve.

The conditions here are much better than those of Dalian Shipyard. The docks are newly built and the various equipment are also the latest and most advanced.

Even the accommodation conditions are much better than those of Dalian Shipyard.

Half of the people from the construction of the first Type 054 frigate will be mobilized here. These will be the seeds that enable Yangcheng Shipyard to have the ability to build Type 054 frigates.

After the first Type 052 destroyer, the Xiangjiang, is completed, Yangcheng Shipyard will also take on the task of building the second Type 052 destroyer.
