Although the Dragonflayer clan was warlike by nature, they had been dormant for tens of thousands of years. Warfare had evolved beyond their understanding in that time.

To put it in perspective, the Dragonflayer clan was like the Spartans, while the other races of Azeroth had reached the Napoleonic era, and Roger's tactics were even more modern. If not for the Vrykul's powerful individual strength, they would have been utterly crushed by other races.

However, it was precisely because of their great strength that they earned the Lich King's favor.

Unable to obtain Arthas, the Lich King chose Ymiron as the wielder of Frostmourne. Unable to strike at humanity's spirit, he would destroy them physically.

Ymiron was completely unaware that Utgarde Keep had fallen. After arriving at Ymirheim, he entered with the undead Vrykul leading the way.

The chaotic energy within Ymirheim had been corrupted by dark energy, becoming favorable to the undead. So, even when Ymiron found it difficult to endure, the undead Vrykul was completely unaffected, even becoming stronger. This contrast did not arouse Ymiron's suspicion, but rather filled him with envy.

He thought this was a result of becoming undead, which was partly true, but not in the way he imagined.

Soon, the two arrived at the place where Frostmourne was kept.

There, a human death knight was waiting for them: Rivendare.

Rivendare looked at the tall Vrykul with envy. He thought that if he had a Vrykul body, he might not have been defeated by Arthas, and might even be able to compete with Roger.

The Lich King did not respond to his thoughts, but instead commanded him, "Your Majesty, the Lich King has been waiting for you for a long time. As long as you take this Frostmourne, you will become the king of the entire world!"

Ymiron looked at Frostmourne. It seemed a bit small. However, even through the ice, he could feel Frostmourne's immense power.

"I also look forward to conquering the whole world!"

Ymiron walked step by step to the side of the ice and cast a spell on it. The ice shattered, blasting Rivendare and the undead Vrykul far away. At the same time, they felt terrified, because after the ice broke, Frostmourne could make them kneel on the ground without them even realizing it.

He was becoming undead!

"What a powerful force! From today on, I will serve the Lich King as my master and conquer the entire world for the Lich King!"

As his voice fell, the dark energy within Ymirheim quickly gathered towards Frostmourne and then poured into his body.

"This is my reward to you! Ymiron, from now on, you will be my agent!"

The Lich King's ethereal words appeared in Ymiron's ears, filling Ymiron with joy. He eagerly asked, "Lich King, what shall I do?"

He was too obsessed with the power bestowed by the Lich King, hoping to satisfy the Lich King and obtain even greater power.

The Lich King said, "You now have the power to resurrect the undead. Use it to resurrect all the Vrykul buried here and form the most powerful army in the world."

"As you command!"

A smile appeared on the corner of Ymiron's mouth. As the king of the Dragonflayer clan, he certainly knew how many Vrykul were buried in Ymirheim. These Vrykul were all powerful warriors who had died in the Titan Keepers' civil war tens of thousands of years ago. If he could resurrect these Vrykul warriors, then he would have the power to conquer the world.

The undead Vrykul quickly and respectfully said, "My King, please follow me!"

Ymiron nodded with satisfaction. He was about to follow the undead Vrykul, but stopped and looked at Rivendare, "Lich King, I am about to have a powerful army. Why keep this freak around?"

Even after becoming undead, he still did not give up his discrimination against humans.

Rivendare trembled, his heart filled with fear and anger. How could this Vrykul turn his face so quickly? If I hadn't risked my life to enter Ymirheim and resurrect the undead Vrykul, how could you have pulled out Frostmourne? This is simply repaying kindness with enmity.

Fortunately, the Lich King spoke, "Although Rivendare is a bit weak, he still has other uses."

"Alright!" Although Ymiron didn't know what use this freak had, if the Lich King said he was useful, then he was useful.

He strode forward, followed the undead Vrykul, and entered the depths of Ymirheim.

Rivendare looked at Ymiron's departing figure, his heart filled with resentment.

"Don't be angry. The Vrykul are all mindless fellows. If Arthas's plan hadn't failed, I wouldn't have chosen him to wield Frostmourne."

Hearing the Lich King's comfort, Rivendare felt much better, "My King, what should I do next?"

The Lich King said, "I need you to return to Lordaeron, to Andorhal. There are people waiting for you there, and they will tell you what to do."

Rivendare nodded and quickly left Ymirheim, soon disappearing into the mountains.

Utgarde Keep, the Argent Crusade was discussing how to deal with Ymiron.

When the gryphon riders discovered the Vrykul dragon knights in Ymirheim, the Argent Crusade's high command split into two factions.

The pro-war faction, led by Kurdran, hoped to take the initiative and attack. Without the protection of the fortress, the threat of the dragon knights would be greatly reduced. As long as the dragon knights' stamina was exhausted, they would be lambs to the slaughter. Such warfare was what the gryphon riders excelled at. They had used such tactics to tease many black dragons.

However, the conservative faction, led by Turalyon, believed that it would be right to design a battlefield and catch the dragon knights off guard. The dragon knights' sudden departure to Ymirheim clearly had some purpose. If they didn't figure it out, they might fall into the dragon knights' ambush.

Neither faction could convince the other. Just as they were arguing, a transparent, winged woman descended from the sky, directly passing through the guards' obstruction and rushing into the conference room.

Everyone looked at the woman warily. The woman had a body as tall as a Vrykul, but from her clothing, she was different from the Vrykul.

Roger's expression was strange. Wasn't this the angel sister?

She wasn't supposed to be receiving souls in the graveyard, so why had she run here?

"Everyone, I know you are very confused, but now is not the time to explain. The purpose of my coming here is to warn you that Ymiron is gathering a large army and preparing to conquer the entire world!"
