The Second Empire of Azeroth
#160 - Frost Castle
Chapter 160: Frosthold
Arthas shook his head, saying in confusion, "Rogers, I don't know what came over me just now. I didn't want it."
Rogers heard this and looked thoughtfully at the Helm of Domination in his hand.
"Rogers Kishaen, wear it, and you will become the most powerful being in this world, you will become the king of this world…"
"Humph!"
Rogers snorted coldly, saying disdainfully, "The king of the undead world?"
He quickly used all his divine power to construct layers upon layers of seals on the Helm of Domination.
A resentful roar came from the Helm of Domination: "Stop! Rogers Kishaen, stop immediately… I won't let you go!"
"Wait until you find me!"
Rogers curled his lips, completed the final layer of the seal, and then opened a spatial rift, throwing the Helm of Domination into it. Without the coordinates, the Jailer would never find the Helm of Domination.
Arthas asked in surprise, "What was that all about?"
Rogers explained, "Behind the Lich King, there is more than one planner. With our current abilities, it's best not to know, otherwise, it might be a disaster for this world."
Arthas seemed to understand, but thinking about how he had almost fallen for it just now, he stopped asking.
Without the Lich King's restraints, the undead regained their freedom. They crawled out of the snow and fled outwards.
But before they could escape Icecrown Citadel, they were scattered by the Proto-Dragons descending from the sky. The powerful Northrend Expeditionary Force jumped down from the Proto-Dragons, eliminating these undead and returning them to dust.
The Northrend Expeditionary Force spent a month eliminating all the undead. Only the Crypt Fiends escaped into the underground kingdom, avoiding the disaster.
Ulduar, the Northrend Expeditionary Force established a new port here. Fleets constantly transported supplies here to restore the soldiers' strength.
During this period of rest, the Northrend Expeditionary Force did not just sit idle, but instead explored Ulduar.
Azadas and Ironaya did not participate in the battle against the Lich King. They and Muradin led the Bronzebeard dwarves north from the Crystalsong Forest, entering the Storm Peaks. In the Storm Peaks, they encountered a group of Frost dwarves.
The Frost dwarves were very shocked to learn of the identities of Azadas and Ironaya. Out of caution, they returned to Frosthold to confirm the identities of the two Titan Watchers. After confirming, they excitedly invited Azadas and Ironaya to Frosthold.
Although the Iron dwarves' combat abilities were still very strong, their smaller size still made their strength inferior to the Vrykul. Therefore, the Frost dwarves were given a chance to breathe.
They united with the Mechagnomes who also came from Ulduar, and also contacted two branches of Vrykul weakened by the Curse of Flesh.
The Sons of Hodir and the Hyldnir of Brunnhildar, these two branches of Vrykul were opposed to each other, hating and attacking each other. But when facing the Iron dwarves, they would still choose a united front.
Azadas contacted the Mechagnomes and the two branches of Vrykul through the Frost dwarves, gathering them at Frosthold, wanting to unite them.
Faced with a Titan Watcher, whether Mechagnomes or Vrykul, they chose to obey orders.
Easily incorporating four forces made Azadas a little complacent. He gathered his army, wanting to attack Ulduar. As a result, before he even reached Ulduar, he was defeated by the Iron dwarves.
Recognizing reality, Azadas retreated to Frosthold and contacted the Northrend Expeditionary Force.
After receiving Azadas's request for help, the faces of the generals of the Northrend Expeditionary Force were very strange.
"It seems that our ally doesn't want us to enter Ulduar!" Khadgar said.
Turalyon said, "This is normal. There are too many secrets inside Ulduar. As a Titan Watcher, Azadas has the obligation to keep these secrets."
"But we are an alliance, and it's a bit unreasonable for him to hide it from us as well!" Kurdran said dissatisfied.
Rogers said with a smile, "Don't be angry. If Azadas could take back Ulduar, he would have taken it back ten thousand years ago, he wouldn't have waited until today. Moreover, if we don't let him try, how will he cooperate with us obediently? Now that he has tried, then the credit for taking Ulduar will be ours, and we will be in charge of the things inside Ulduar!"
Everyone nodded upon hearing this. Although Rogers's words were a bit domineering, they were also what they thought in their hearts. Their purpose was to eliminate all enemies threatening Azeroth. The facilities inside Ulduar would enhance their power and make them stronger.
Even Arthas agreed, "If our soldiers could possess the strength of the Vrykul, then we would not fear any enemy."
"You will see this scene!"
Loken was simply wasting resources. Possessing the powerful Forge of Wills, he only knew how to create machine-like creatures like Vrykul and Iron dwarves. If he possessed the Forge of Wills, he would create the most perfect race in this world.
The Northrend Expeditionary Force advanced to Frosthold and joined forces with Azadas.
The Titan Watcher's army was somewhat hostile to these newcomers. Obviously, they had the same idea as Azadas, not wanting the Northrend Expeditionary Force to get involved in the secrets of the Titan Watchers.
But the Northrend Expeditionary Force didn't care about this hostility, and even looked down on it a bit. If you yourselves could solve the problem, why would you ask us for help?
The Sons of Lothar had the best mentality. They had seen too much of this kind of thing in Draenor. But when they showed their powerful strength, those hostile gazes would disappear.
Muradin told the generals of the Northrend Expeditionary Force about the situation of the Iron dwarves, "These Iron dwarves have not been affected by the Curse of Flesh, they still possess bodies like steel, not only possessing strong defense, but also being difficult to kill with magic…"
"They have occupied the road north, and have built strong bunkers there. If we want to attack Ulduar, we must break through these bunkers and kill these Iron dwarves." Azadas said, "Moreover, we must always be aware of their reinforcements. Loken has a group of Storm Giants under his command, whose strength is even greater than the Vrykul. Although they haven't appeared for a long time, we shouldn't expect that they have already died."
Rogers nodded slightly, looking at the map and thinking.
The terrain of the Storm Peaks was very unfavorable to the Northrend Expeditionary Force. Not only was there only one small road north, but there were also two peaks on either side of the road. The west side was occupied by the Iron dwarves, and the east side was a high mountain, with a Titan ruin on the mountain—the Temple of Storms! Just knowing the name, you know that it has a close relationship with the Storm Giants.
The terrain is completely unfavorable!
