The Trinity of Harry Potter

Chapter 120: The Mouse Appears

Dumbledore stopped showing up in the next few days, and only Carno shared a room with Lupine in the Shrieking Shack.

Lupine is in very good condition. Even if he hasn't been injected with serum in the past few days, he shows no signs of transformation.

"To be honest, I feel like I may never turn into a werewolf again." Lupine said happily while sitting in the Shrieking Shack.

"Let's observe for a few more months and don't be so hasty. After all, this may affect the fate of many werewolves." Kano picked up the teacup and took a sip.

Lu Ping nodded sincerely: "You are right, I long for a normal life too much."

After that, he sighed: "If James and...sigh."

"I already know, Remus!" A tall and thin figure rushed out of the darkness and hugged Lupin.

"I'm so happy for you!"

"Sirius?"

Lupine's wand was already pressed against Sirius' weak spot, but Sirius hugged him indifferently and kept hitting his back with his fist.

Lupine struggled to free himself from Sirius's arms, lowered his wand at a loss, and looked at the two people in the room.

"I have already said that you are lucky if you don't take two spells today."

"Hmph, Lupine can't possibly attack me."

"You all shut up and explain to me!" Lupine looked at Kano and Sirius and couldn't help interrupting their conversation.

"Let me explain, Professor." Harry's figure walked out of the darkness, holding the Invisibility Cloak in his hand.

Harry and Sirius explained the whole story to Lupine and showed him Scabbers's photo and the Marauder's Map. Lupine then put down his guard and hugged Sirius with tears in his eyes.

"I knew it, I knew it..." Lu Ping wiped his tears.

"It's all over, Remus." Sirius' eyes were also red, "Now all that's left to do is deal with the traitor Peter. Kano said to leave everything to him."

Dumbledore's face appeared from the window, smiling and nodding to several people.

So far, all the people in the Kano Plan who should know the truth have been put in place, and the plan has entered a critical stage.

Fudge had been so worried about Sirius recently that he had no choice but to issue a curfew in Hogsmeade.

After dark, dementors will wander the streets, and anyone outside will be captured by the dementors.

This has stirred up a hornet's nest. Hogsmeade Village, as the UK's commercial district second only to Diagon Alley, has had its prime business hours cut off because of a fugitive.

The merchants complained, such as Mrs. Rostammer, the proprietress of the Three Broomsticks Bar. Her pretty face was so angry that she became angry.

Who drinks in broad daylight? If the curfew is imposed for another half month, the bars will close down!

As if Kano wasn't enough, Pikreach would go for a walk in places like Godric's Hollow and Knockturn Alley from time to time.

The only thing Fudge could do was to conduct a rigorous search for a few days wherever he saw Sirius, causing chaos and public dissatisfaction.

In this way, Kano started setting fires everywhere, and Fudge was exhausted.

Finally, before the Christmas holidays, "catching Sirius" went from being something that a few people cared about to becoming a major event that swept the British wizarding world.

Kano and the trio acted in front of Peter every day, and he lost a lot of weight visibly.

One night, Ron heard Peter scratching the cage.

"I think he is scared and wants to disappear like he did more than ten years ago."

During breakfast, Ron talked to a few people.

"It's an old method, but it works well." Kano commented, "But the cage I made is difficult to open even with a magic spell. I hope his teeth are still healthy."

"The final dose of strong medicine will be administered tonight."

"What strong medicine?" Harry asked angrily.

"You'd better not know, lest you get into trouble." Kano said with a smile.

Tomorrow is the Christmas vacation, and the students have packed their luggage and are ready to go home to spend the holiday with their relatives.

Soon, the students fell asleep with a happy mood.

Cano closed the curtain and hummed softly, and a mist of water filled the common room at some point.

Peter was given a sobering agent as usual and couldn't sleep at all.

He suddenly noticed that a tall and thin figure appeared in the mist, breathing heavily and getting closer, with two bloodshot eyes glowing green like a wolf.

Peter banged against the cage crazily, but the cage was still tightly closed and could not be opened at all.

Ron suddenly sneezed and woke up from his dream.

He vaguely saw a man standing at the head of the bed, and rolled off the bed with a howl of fright.

Then, he saw the mouse in the cage begin to deform.

A short man with a pointed nose, watery mung bean eyes, and thick dark circles broke out of the cage, and then was tightly tied by the rope turned into a cage and fell to the ground.

"Help, help!"

The tall and thin figure rushed to the door. Everyone woke up, but only saw his back.

"That's Sirius! Sirius has entered the school!"

Peter shouted at the top of his lungs and crawled under the bed like a caterpillar.

Kano opened the curtains and glanced at Ron and Harry, who were in shock.

Everything was as he expected, Peter found that he could not escape from the cage, and Hogwarts, the safest place in the wizarding world, could not keep Sirius out.

The most influential media in the wizarding world, the Daily Prophet, eulogizes him as a hero every day, and Fudge will use him as a topic for a speech from time to time.

In this case, is there any need to say what choice he will make?

"Call the principal here quickly, you are Peter, right?" Cano stepped forward to help him up, and at the same time patted Harry and told him to go out quickly.

The hatred in Harry's eyes could hardly be hidden, and if he was left alone for a while, Kano was afraid that he would pounce on Peter and strangle him to death.

Soon, Dumbledore came. He removed the rope from Peter and comforted him gently.

Fudge was pulled up from the bed and entered Hogwarts ecstatically. He has been unable to catch Sirius recently, which has seriously damaged his political image.

But this time he found the "hero" Peter, which made him feel proud.

"You've been protecting Harry personally, right? You've really endured the humiliation. I want to apply for another Merlin First Class Medal for you."

Fudge hugged Peter affectionately. Peter was still trembling and didn't even notice what Fudge said.

"Peter, don't be afraid, Minister Fudge will protect your safety." Dumbledore spoke at the right time, and Fudge immediately agreed. Peter nodded hastily and accepted his protection.

Another big manhunt started, and the whole Hogwarts was brightly lit.

The students were chattering about this surprising news. As they left school for the holidays, the news about Peter spread throughout the wizarding world.

At noon the next day, Dumbledore announced that he would invite Peter as a special guest at the Christmas dinner.

At this time, Kano was sitting in Snape's office, looking at the dead frog in the glass bottle with interest.
