Chapter 1848 Seed
1864,seed
There is no absolute right or wrong in this world, it is nothing more than the pros and cons of choices.
Which one is the greatest benefit, immediate interests or future interests, and who can eliminate it?
How meaningful is this comparison?
Tathagata naturally understood this, and for this reason, he smiled bitterly in his heart, feeling that he had been beaten into a corner.
But this strong contrast also allowed Tathagata to fully understand the biggest mistake in his prehistoric Buddhism.
It's a big taboo to be eager for success!
The prehistoric Buddhist sect entered its heyday too quickly, and it also caused the prehistoric Buddhist sect to lose its most stable foundation. Once there is an irresistible risk, they will be greeted by an extraordinary defeat.
How could he not know that the appearance of Wutian was the beginning of the greatest disaster for Buddhism in the world?
He also knew that even if he stayed in the wilderness, he would not have the slightest ability to change this general trend.
He followed the current and stepped into the heavens, and put down the noble Buddha's throne that said, "I am the only one in heaven and on earth." Why didn't he feel a huge sense of relief in his heart?
Looking back now, I realize how wise my choice was!
At the time, my ‘master’, Master Tongtian, must have been very angry about this, right?
Compared with my respect for my master and the two great saints of Buddhism, it seems a bit indescribable.
As the Buddha of prehistoric Buddhism, Tathagata is the one who has the clearest understanding of the "temperament" of prehistoric Buddhism.
The reason why the prehistoric Buddhist sect is eager for success is not to attract Yin Zhunti to more quickly repay their ‘wishes’ before becoming saints?
When the Journey to the West ended and Buddhism introduced Buddhism into the Eastern Tang Dynasty, the orthodox place of human race in the ancient times, the two sages of Buddhism had already obtained what they needed. In other words, their previous wishes had basically come true.
They no longer care whether the prehistoric Buddhism will still be at its peak, or whether there will be a huge trough after this peak.
They have gone into battle lightly, and all their baggage has been completely removed.
To them, it is nothing more than a new group of personnel in Buddhism in the future.
For them, the cultivation of saints is nothing more than spending some time. Even if this time is very long, as saints, don't they have enough time?
Thinking of this, the only thing Tathagata could do was smile bitterly in his heart.
"If you don't become a saint, you will ultimately be just a chess piece in the hands of others!"
Didn't he have no control over his being turned into a beard by Lao Tzu? No matter how much he objected in his heart, he could not change his arrangement as Lao Tzu's uncle.
He even once doubted whether it was his original destiny that he became the Buddha of prehistoric Buddhism.
Perhaps because of this, he was eager to get rid of the interference of fate, so he chose to cooperate with Saint Jieyin Zhunti and became the true spokesperson of Buddhism in the ancient West.
But now it seems that everything is in vain?
Is this path also part of Master Laozi's plan?
If Tathagata thinks about it carefully, he is probably also thinking about it. Isn't it the best reflection that there are many factions in Buddhism in the ancient world?
When the prehistoric Buddhism was working towards the common goal of prosperity, many factions could still form a rope, but what about after its prosperity?
Now that the fruit is ripe, how to divide it has become a real big deal. No one wants their share to be rare, right?
Isn’t it just for this reason that I escaped from the wilderness naturally?
Seriously, those Buddhas and Bodhisattvas don’t want me, the Buddhist Buddha, to leave, so aren’t there ways to do it?
But what about the facts?
As soon as he said it, it was just a pretense to try to stay. Those who wanted him to leave probably accounted for the majority, right?
Now they succeeded and got what they wanted, but what is the result?
He didn't even need to go to the ancient world to check, he knew that the ancient Buddhist sect no longer had the majesty it once had.
Internal fighting is bound to be carried out openly, even if you know that the enemy is right in front of you.
He has also read the history of the Ming Dynasty. During the Chongzhen period, what could the Donglin Party members not ignore for their own immediate interests?
Except for a limited number of Buddhas, most of the other Buddhist sects in the prehistoric times most likely would not care whether the Buddha above them is Tathagata or Wutian, right?
It must be admitted that Tathagata's speculation couldn't be more correct.
If there were no heavens, the future would be basically the same as Tathagata speculated.
Within the prehistoric Buddhist sect, there were indeed some who resisted when Wutian came to take over the throne of Buddha.
But the number of these resisters is nothing compared to the number of people who can accept the replacement of Buddha with peace of mind.
Although it can’t be said to be a drop in the bucket, it’s still pretty close, right?
Are those resisters and martyrs really doing it for their inner beliefs?
What was left for Tathagata was to shake his head in his heart. At this moment, he seemed to have a profound enlightenment and realized that he, the so-called Buddha of the prehistoric Buddhism, was not that important.
The entire prehistoric Buddhism is not as beautiful as I imagined. The prehistoric Buddhism, which seems invincible to outsiders, is actually just a piece of loose sand.
Thinking about it this way, it seems that there is no regrets in giving up.
He stepped into the heavens and gave up the Buddha's throne, not only for the sake of better cultivation, but also thinking about one day when he returns, he will continue to win this throne.
But now that I think about it, it seems that this idea doesn't mean much, so what if I win it? Is Buddhism still as unchanged as it used to be?
Is this really the Buddhism that I need?
Suddenly, he realized that the prehistoric Buddhism had never been his Buddhism, and it had always been the Buddhism that guided Yin Zhunti.
He is just a professional manager, and he only holds a small share in it. It seems that he has the final say in everything, but what really belongs to him has always been so insignificant.
It would be fine if his ideal is to be a professional manager. The key is that his ambitions are never limited to these. This is the source of suffering, right?
He has a real entrepreneurial spirit.
He is never short of money or anything else.
He also has no idea of eating alone. From the insights of ancient Buddhism, he naturally knows this very clearly. How many of the ancient Buddhists are the true beings of the same mind and heart as the two saints of Jieyin Zhunti? Does Tathagata Buddha still see it?
Not coming out?
Just like Ran Deng, if someone defected from the position of deputy leader of Chan Cult and entered Buddhism, would his status be improved?
What people want is just to take a step further in cultivation and become a lamp-burning Buddha. It seems that they have succeeded and got what they wanted, but in reality?
After you got it, didn’t you think about getting to the next level?
This is human nature, right?
In other words, once Ran Deng discovers another path that can take him to another level, there is a high probability that others will abandon it without hesitation and continue to betray him, right?
If there is one, there are two. This is the ultimate principle of heaven and earth.
You have betrayed once, will you be afraid of betraying again?
If Ran Deng is like this, what about the other people who entered Buddhism from Chanjiao?
Even if your integrity is much higher than that of Ran Deng, it is not unshakable, right?
He found that it seemed easy for him to win over Manjushri Samantabhadra and Avalokitesvara. When the Buddha was still the Tathagata, Manjushri Samantabhadra and Avalokiteśvara had prominent positions and considerable power in the Buddhist sect, but what about after he left?
Will those direct descendants of the prehistoric Buddhist sect allow this situation to continue?
You almost don't have to think about it to know the ending.
You know, even when he was sitting on the throne of the Buddha in the prehistoric Buddhism, these people were more or less excluded. Their Taoist temple was never in Lingshan, and the caves were always placed in Lingshan. Compared with the direct lineage, isn't this already obvious?
He had the answer in his mind, but he also knew there was no need to rush.
When he really took action, it was after he stepped into Yasheng, and even after he realized Hunyuan, he became more convincing.
The Tathagata clearly understands the intimidating power of a saint.
He not only wants to create a separate group company, but also wants to completely acquire the future of Buddhism, so that his original professional managers can truly become the major shareholders.
Since this is the case, it is natural to be as cautious as possible.
It was like he had already thought about wooing Manjusri and Samantabhadra and others in his mind, but he thought that he needed to let these people take the time to return to the primitive world. It would not be too late to woo them after they stepped into the heavens again.
Because for some analysis, even if you inform the other party, it is not as useful as seeing and experiencing it with their own eyes.
He didn't know that Guanyin had already embarked on his own path, otherwise he would not have been able to sit on the Diaoyutai like this.
But one thing that must be admitted is that once anyone has a doubt about prehistoric Buddhism, he will naturally stand on the same line as the current Tathagata.
It’s just a question of whether he will be roped in or become one of the founders of a new company in the future.
Recovering from countless thoughts, Tathagata ended with a Buddha's name in his heart. Beside him, neither Fang Yun nor Liu Hao cared about it.
They also vaguely discovered that Tathagata had some insights, but so what?
How much does what others understand have to do with you? Do you have to let others explain it to you?
How can there be such a truth? Mortals may ask questions if they are curious, but when they reach their level, there are not many things that can really arouse their curiosity, at least the Tathagata cannot achieve this.
In any case, they have not seen sublimation from the Tathagata. For them, it is nothing more than that.
None of the three people spoke, as if the many conditions of Liu Bang's Han Empire were still very exciting.
This time lasted for a long time, but it was Tathagata who broke the silence. He could no longer comprehend more from it, and naturally lost interest.
He also understood what he needed to do next, which was to travel.
Go see the entire Liu Hao Earth, go see all the worlds you see along the way.
This time, he made up his mind to just watch. He didn't want to be like the third brother before, who tried his best without passing a place, and he must think about leaving his own legacy in it.
He didn't say much, he just told Liu Hao and Fang Yun about his thoughts, and then drifted away, as if everything was so quiet when he arrived.
"Next time we see you again, I really want to call you Taoist friend!" Liu Hao said this out of emotion.
"That's the Buddha!" Fang Yun's words sounded like ridicule, but in fact they were recognition of the other party.
"What do you think he has realized this time?"
"I just overcame a bumpy road in my heart, but this bumpy road is also the key!"
"Yes! Buddhism can never be underestimated!"
Fang Yun nodded slightly: "Fellow Taoist travels across the heavens, but also promotes the Tao of hundreds of schools of thought?"
"Of course it is, that's all!" Liu Hao chuckled, but his words were serious: "Even if civilizations converge, some poor people will not give up, but it is difficult to predict the future effects!"
"That's enough!"
In this regard, the interests of the two of them are unprecedentedly consistent, and they both hope that one day in the future, hundreds of schools of thought will be able to compete with the prehistoric Buddhism and Taoism.
But they also know that even if they can achieve success one day in the future, it will be in the distant future. Things like foundation have always been very important.
They hope, but they are never anxious about it. On the other hand, they also have something in common, that is, the pursuit of the foundation. They all believe that the most important thing is whether the foundation is stable, otherwise no matter how beautiful it looks, someone will not be able to do it. An accident appears and disappears without warning.
They all believe that as long as the seeds are planted, even if the process is full of ups and downs, as long as they sprout and as long as someone learns it, it will definitely spread, and there will definitely be people who are really enthusiastic about it and will promote it on their own.
This is the inheritor they really need.
Back then, in the world of mortals cultivating immortals, in the mortal world, there were countless courts and countless scholars. But to be obsessed with Liu Hao was not just to drop a book and sow a seed?
If he really wanted to do it, how much effort would it take?
But after careful consideration, he still gave up. One of the reasons why heretics might be rejected by the world of mortals cultivating immortals was because, more importantly, he was betting on the power of his own initiative.
He has unparalleled confidence in this and believes that as long as any scholar discovers it, he will never give up, even if the mainstream of his world is cultivation.
He is not worried at all that after these scholars have their own power, they will switch to the mainstream cultivation of the original world. What he wants is just to spread the seeds everywhere, not necessarily the emergence of two so-called giants among these forerunners.
Sometimes, moisturizing things silently is the most beneficial option.
Because only in this way can we be ignored by the mainstream world and wait for them to truly react. Then we can truly grow into a behemoth and have a status of our own.
On the other hand, if there are one or two giants among the original joiners, it is unlikely that they will face crazy suppression from the mainstream world. It has always been the nature of intelligent beings to exclude dissidents.
The so-called hugging a group for warmth always has a premise, that is, the "group" must truly form a "group".
Otherwise, if three or two people hug each other and are blown by the cold wind, their faces will be frozen. How many people can survive?
Since it was impossible for him to stay in one world for a long time, this choice was actually the most correct one.
If it were Fang Yun, it would most likely be the same, right? His smile and nod just now was the greatest approval, wasn't it?
