God of Time System: Harem in the Zombie Apocalypse



"Hey! You are on a date without involving me?!!" A sweet voice, melodious enough to turn the heads of not just me and Caroline, but the entire restaurant towards the entrance, resounded in the area.

Turning around, I found a familiar childlike innocent face, who was pouting as if she was really angry with her being left out. Even though she was sulking, one couldn't help but think how cute she was, and her blonde hair and blue glasses over her blue eyes made her even more enchanting than she already was.

"Alissa!" Caroline got all cheered up as she looked at Alissa,"I thought you were busy with research work!" 

Alissa moved towards us and then, taking a free chair from the other table, she joined us as she sulked a little,"it is so tiring to work all day, you know?" Speaking in a childlike manner, she let her head rest on the table.

Caroline, who was witnessing her side for the first time, was confused beyond words. The expression she was making as if she wanted to know who this person was? What happened to Alissa? I could even see a tinge of worry on Caroline's face.

"Sounds really frustrating,"I spoke as I humored Alissa and she responded with her eyes brightened up as she ranted,"right?! Those guys were keeping busy with this and that! Seriously, making me work so much!! Arghh!!" 

She then punched in the air a little as she spoke,"I will beat them all to pulp!! Pew! Pew!" she spoke as filled her cheeks with air and humphed in triumph. I smiled at her as I drank a bit of the coffee that I ordered before asking, "Need any help?" 

Her eyes turned to me with a bright smile forming on her face. She then moved her seat closer to me in a rapid manner as she grabbed my arm towards her breast as she looked at me with puppy eyes,"Michael!! Have I ever told you that you are awesome!!"

"Cough cough!" A couple of seats away, a few boys who were practically interested in our conversation started coughing as she looked at Alissa before looking at me. Observing Alissa, they threw their gazes of jealousy, observing Caroline, they pitied me. 

"Ah! Before I forget to tell, the Dean called me and Caroline to the office. He was being super mean to us as he asked us to behave properly… especially Caroline. Not to get involved with Mike," she spoke as she sulked a little before a mischievous smile appeared on her face as she spoke,"so… I kind of went and told her wife about the affair that he was having with Miss Lewis… hehe… it was fun."

I patted her head as I nodded before speaking,"would you like to eat something?"

She chuckled as she looked at the server at a distance,"One strawberry shake, please!"

The server nodded with his cheeks turning red as he ran towards the counter while Alissa let me go before asking,"So Michael! What are we going to do next?" 

"Take care of Walter's sister for me. I will be going to Rimenawa for 10 days. After that, I am thinking of taking a vacation to somewhere far far away… wanna come with me?" I asked with a curious smile, and this made her look at me with a surprised look.

"That's kind of unexpected but… Yay! Free vacation!" She spoke out as she looked at me with a smile. I then looked at Caroline as I spoke,"Let's go then. The faster we go, the faster we return."

My eyes looked at Alissa as I spoke,"auxilium primum conantur facere tua(ask for help first, then try to do things on your own)" and she chuckled a little before she nodded.

"Hey! Wait! Wait! Wait! Are you guys leaving now?" A genuine surprise came to her face as she looked at us and I nodded before standing up along with those two.

"But! But! There was something I was planning!" Alissa spoke as she looked at me with a sad gaze, but before me or Caroline spoke anything, she added,"okay… I will postpone it for another 10 days."

I looked at her for a moment before I nodded,"sure. Meet you in 10 days then. Take care of yourself, Alissa," and then moved away from there as I picked up Caroline's luggage.

Caroline, who was a bit confused with all the things that happened, just looked at Alissa, hugged her a little and said,"let's meet next week," before she too followed behind me. Meanwhile Alissa, who was observing from a distance, now turned to the Waiter who brought the drink to her.

Making a sad face, she sat down as a single tear fell from her eyes before she looked at Waiter with a pitiful look. That waiter did not know what to do as he tried to approach her, but she just started looking at him with a slight glare as she spoke,"Am I not beautiful?" 

That waiter just stopped his work as he did not know what to speak before Alissa spoke again,"you. Sit there." 

That waiter just moved to the opposite seat to where Alissa was sitting. Alissa then made a serious face as she spoke,"I am going to some questions here and answer me honestly?! You understand?!" and that waiter just gulped before nodding.

Meanwhile, I and Caroline booked a cab to the airport where the flight was going to land. Sitting in the cab, the first thing Caroline asked was,"is she going to be fine? Should we have included her?"

Though I ended up laughing out loud as I turned to Caroline and said,"don't worry about her. She is going to be totally fine. The reason she actually came to the restaurant was to meet that waiter, I think his name was Greg. He is one of the businessman's sons, doing a part-time job in that restaurant for a week now. The story is that his father was a friend of the dean and since the dean could take his help to pressure and stop the research we were doing, she was going to manipulate that waiter into making trouble for his entire family."

Caroline, who was hearing my words, just looked at me blankly for a couple of seconds before I gave her a knowing smile,"she isn't someone whom you should take lightly. And yeah… she is scary."

Caroline looked words to express her emotion. It was as if she was betrayed by all the sympathy she was showing to Alissa right now. I couldn't help but laugh at her expression as I spoke,

"As for coming with us. I don't think she would have weighed her work over my personal leveling up. Her coming with us doesn't benefit us as much as staying back at the university and manipulating everyone does. All the more, because that is going to be our base for everything."

Caroline, who was hearing my words, now turned silent as she looked at me with a deep gaze.

"What is it?" I asked with slight curiosity

"You too are really close, huh? Makes me jealous honestly,"she spoke as her eyes went down a little and I looked out of the window and smiled as I muttered,"We shall see about that tomorrow night."

"Huh?!" Her eyes looked at me as I turned at her before turning away as I saw her getting embarrassed as she fell in deep with her own fantasy and thoughts. 

After that, I looked at my skills a little and wondered if I should use my skill points here and there? There are many things which I can do but…

'I don't see any special reason to upgrade any of the skills except the [Inspect] skill which I would need later if someone strongly approaches me,' I thought as I went through all that once again.

'Belial,' I thought as I knew he was the strongest opponent that I am going to face on this planet. Other than that, there is Kira… though, should I move towards Kira? I could do it only because of [Time Acceleration] last time.

My eyes then closed for a couple of seconds as I thought about the whole thing and how I should tackle it. 

'Rhea… I wonder what answers you will give to my questions,' I thought as I sighed. If she had told me about this regression from before, I could have at least prepared everything accordingly.

And as I was getting lost in my own thoughts, we reached the airport, where we waited for another hour for the flight to come. Since Caroline was tired, she ended up sleeping on my shoulders before I woke her up at the time of departure. 

We then sat on the airplane before it took off. The journey was going to be 8 hours long, and we decided to sleep on the plane. I mean, we did talk about this and that, but nothing was really serious. Since we were bored, we saw a couple of pictures before we got bored with it too and slept just like that.

-The flight is about to land in Rimenawa international airport in 5 minutes. Passengers, please put on the seat belt!

The announcement rang in our ears as we both woke up. 5 minutes later, the flight started descending before it reached the airport and we took our luggage and moved into the airport. 

Since it was still three hours before morning, the area outside the Airport was particularly silent except for a couple of cabs in the distance. 

"Let's go," I spoke to Caroline as she nodded at me before we moved to the nearest cab, in the vicinity.
