The Second Empire of Azeroth

#47 - Muradin vs. Dal Tribleblood

After killing Maim, Roger immediately used Flash and appeared between the orcs and the naga, using Arcane Explosion before they could react.

The arcane energy, imbued with divinity, erupted violently, instantly blasting all the orcs and naga around him away. In mid-air, the arcane energy continuously tore at their bodies. Armor was shattered, and some fragments pierced the bodies of the orcs or naga, causing secondary damage. The orcs and naga who had already lost their ability to fight and were waiting to die were directly torn into pieces by the arcane energy.

Roger used Arcane Explosion again, blasting all the orcs and naga still alive in mid-air to death!

"Crackβ€”"

A bolt of lightning shot towards him, but Roger casually raised his shield and blocked it.

Roger turned to look and saw the naga witch glaring at him fiercely. Roger smiled, raised his hand, and fired a volley of Arcane Missiles.

The naga witch quickly cast a Lightning Shield on herself. The Arcane Missiles struck the Lightning Shield, immediately creating a burst of lightning. The dazzling light of the lightning blinded the naga witch for a moment. Before she could recover, an arrow pierced her body.

The naga witch looked at the arrow in her chest in disbelief. She never expected that she would lose to a human. She fiercely gathered her last bit of lightning energy, wanting to die together with Roger.

Unfortunately, Roger raised his hand, and an arcane blast struck her body. The energy she had gathered instantly collapsed, and lightning continuously tore at her body.

Counterspell!

Taking advantage of the naga witch being hit by the backlash, Roger fired another volley of Arcane Missiles at her.

[Killed Naga Witch, Arcane Master level increased to level 23, gained 3 Arcane Master skill points]

[Achieved achievement Naga Witch, gained 5 achievement points]

John and the others also killed the remaining orcs, with only a few naga escaping into the sea.

B Company soldiers cleaned up the battlefield, and Roger looked at the spoils of this battle: 8 skill points and 10 achievement points.

The hunter's 4 skill points were used to upgrade Sharpshooting to Master level with 3 points, and Multishot was learned with 1 point. The Arcane Master's 4 skill points were used to upgrade Arcane Intellect and Polymorph to Expert level.

The 10 achievement points were used as follows: 1 point to complete Underwater Combat, increasing strength by 20% during underwater combat; 3 points to enhance Create Trap into Magic Trap, increasing elemental damage, control duration, and creation speed by 20%; 3 points to Create Food, increasing buff duration, satiety duration, and buff effect by 10%; and the last 3 points to Multishot, increasing arcane power, accuracy, and damage by 10%.

The gains in strength were secondary; the most important thing was disrupting the orc's sneak attack.

Maim Blackhand's appearance here made his purpose self-evident. Now that all the orcs who were planning to attack the Thandol Span had died here, it would be too difficult for Orgrim to cross the Thandol Span!

A few days later, Orgrim had not received any news from Maim, which made him very annoyed. He decided that he could not wait any longer and immediately sent assassins to control the detonator. If Garona were here, that slave's abilities would definitely be able to complete this task. Now, the only person he could trust was Dal Threefold Bloodfang!

"Chieftain, I guarantee to complete the mission!"

Although Dal Threefold Bloodfang was not very convinced of Orgrim as the Warchief at first, after observing him for so long, Orgrim was indeed much stronger than Blackhand. When Blackhand was in charge, he couldn't even deal with the Kingdom of Stormwind. As soon as Orgrim took over, he conquered Stormwind City and successfully conquered the Dark Iron dwarves, forcing the Bronzebeard dwarves to huddle in Ironforge. Although the orc army was now blocked at the Thandol Span, Dal believed that Orgrim would definitely lead the orcs to conquer this continent.

"I'm counting on you, Dal!"

Orgrim said solemnly.

Dal Threefold Bloodfang gathered the most elite Burning Blade Blademasters and sneaked across the bridge under the cover of night. Using Wind Walk from time to time, they quickly sneaked into the dwarves' camp. Soon, they discovered the detonator in a simple fortress.

Dal saw that there was only one dwarf in the fortress and immediately arranged for the others to guard the perimeter of the fortress, while he entered the fortress to destroy the detonator. Using Wind Walk, he quickly reached the detonator and raised the Sanguine Blade in his hand, aiming it at the detonator.

Just as he was about to swing down, the dwarf who was lying on the ground sleeping suddenly moved and threw his hammer at Dal Threefold Bloodfang.

Dal Threefold Bloodfang was shocked and quickly dodged the hammer, which was carrying powerful lightning energy. The hammer smashed into the stone wall, unleashing a huge burst of lightning that knocked Dal out of stealth.

"Rogers was right after all!"

When the dwarf stood up, Dal discovered that he was much taller than the other dwarves. But what shocked Dal even more was the dwarf's words: "The sword in your hand is the Sanguine Blade, right? Then you must be Dal Threefold Bloodfang, the chieftain of the Burning Blade clan?"

The dwarf suddenly swung the battle-axe in his hand, and lightning flickered continuously on it. The battle-axe slammed into the ground, "Come on, let me see how strong you are!"

Lightning spread from the ground towards Dal Threefold Bloodfang, and Dal Threefold Bloodfang quickly dodged. Then, he channeled the fire energy in his body into the Sanguine Blade. With a thick flame, Dal swung his sword towards the detonator.

He did not forget his mission, but the dwarf did not let him succeed. The dwarf rushed to the detonator at a speed that did not match his size, raised his battle-axe, and blocked the Sanguine Blade. The flame swept towards the dwarf due to inertia, but the dwarf didn't even blink. The flame on the Sanguine Blade was also resisted by his rock-like skin, and only his beard was slightly scorched.

The dwarf parried the Sanguine Blade, reached out and pulled the warhammer from the stone wall, and used it to change the direction of his attack. The warhammer and battle-axe constantly attacked Dal.

Dal was deeply shocked. This dwarf's strength was too great. If the Sanguine Blade in his hand were replaced with an ordinary flame blade, it would probably have been scrapped in the dwarf's attack long ago.

This enemy could not be fought head-on, so Dal immediately cast Mirror Image, wanting to confuse the dwarf.

But the dwarf didn't even look at the Mirror Image, recognizing Dal's real body and attacking continuously.

"How is that possible?"

Dal took the dwarf's attack head-on and then distanced himself from the dwarf. He looked at the dwarf in disbelief, "Who exactly are you? Why can you see through my Mirror Image?"

The dwarf looked at Dal triumphantly, "Your Mirror Image is very exquisite, but it can't escape my intuition! Orc, don't think that we Bronzebeard dwarves are really afraid of you. Remember my name, I am Muradin Bronzebeard!"

Dal became cautious. According to the information obtained from the Dark Iron dwarves, Muradin was the second of the Bronzebeard brothers and a powerful Mountain King. Because the Bronzebeard dwarves retreated to Ironforge, Dal had been somewhat dismissive of this information. But now it seemed that Muradin was completely worthy of being called powerful.
